Hana's Birthday Day Card!

Today is my niece Hana's birthday.  14 years ago I assisted my sister with her birth.  Cindy went into labor just before midnight on Christmas Day and I spent all day on my birthday laboring with her.  Unfortunately, Hana didn't emerge until a couple of hours into the 27th! So we don't share a birthday but still the most special birthday I ever had!

Digital Dad Xmas Present: Ugly Christmas Sweater

I created this digital project for my boyfriend's dad's Christmas gift.  I used Peppermint Creative's Ugly Christmas Sweater kit.  It just happen to free one day just before Christmas, bonus!!  The patterns were great for the pictures from the 70's.  I spent a quite few hours scanning, a true labour of love of the family preservationist.  I also used a Creative Memories overlay from Wishful on the left hand side and sampled a color from the page in Storybook Creator 4.0.

Creative Memories Noel Digital Layout

I made this digital layout to frame for one of my grandmothers for a Christmas gift.  I started with a Primary Christmas Predesigned Page for four pictures using the orientation I needed.   I used the Creative Memories Noel Digital Kit and the Noel Digital Embellishments to replace the primary paper and embellishments.  I used a Winter Frost overlay and changed the color and opacity.  The quote was a Creative Memories freebie.

Creative Memories Jewel Christmas with Paisley Punch

On this two page layout I used the Creative Memories custom cutting system large scallop circle to create a green mat.  I used the rest of the green paper for paisley punches to mimic the paisleys on page one.

On page 2, I used the border maker system picket fence cartridge and the reverse cut of the first page pink paper.

GDC Ella Blue Collection layouts

I was first introduced to the Ella Blue collection in a class.  I love it! I ran across a bargain and purchase several sheets of this blue and brown line. The background paper is reverse side of the Raleigh paper.   I used the Creative Memories Cutting System to create the piece of paper (Raleigh front side) in the center of the two page spread.  Creative Memories title sticker.  Lace from Hobby Lobby.

I used cuts of the velvet paper to accent the layout.  Miscellaneous buttons and  fabric leaf.

Raleigh paper with cuts from the velvet paper.  Polka dot paper is reverse side of Annabelle.  The wallpaper looking paper is Frances.  Creative Memories Title Sticker.  Melody Ross acetate bird.  Blue cardstock.  Ribbon.

Kraft-y Christmas Cards!

I used Kraft paper and kraft paper colored cardstock to create this rustic Christmas card.  I also used this awesome paper from EK success's Color Sense System.  The color is zucchini/spruce, it is a double sided gorgeous paper, this is the dark side.  I used an old, I mean old corner rounder only the second one I owned on the corners and kept the stars and used the Creative Memories Precision Point Glue Pen to adhere them randomly.  I used kraft colored raffia ribbon.  I embossed the trees and quotes in an iridescent green you can't quite see the detail here.  The patterned green paper is old stock from Creative Memories.  I popped up the quotes on pop dots.

Graphic 45 Challenge Thank you card

I noticed this Graphic 45 challenge to make a Thank you card this afternoon.  I used the On the Boardwalk Collection papers Coney Island and By the Beautiful Sea.  I used an Autumn Leaves Stampology Greetings "thanks", I love having 3 layers of stamping!  I used Colorbox inks black to edge, amber, topaz and terra cotta to stamp the image.  I used Recollections lace on a roll from Michael's (already has adhesive-yeah!).  I used a Creative Memories corner rounder for the edges, buttons, floss, and ivory cardstock.

"Vintage Gears" Steampunk using Creative Memories Border Maker System

Here is a close up of the border I made with the Creative Memories Border Maker System and the Scallop cartridge.  I have used gears by Tim Holtz and brads from Hobby Lobby.  Chalked the edges.  I used a lot of cat's eyes.

A view of both pages using Vintage Gears paper by GCD and Donna Salazar from the Antiquities collection.  I have also used pieces from the die cut sheet in the collection.  I added pink cardstock and edged the mat with the scallop cartridge as well.

The lace ribbon is from Hobby Lobby in the sewing section not the scrapbooking section.  It is a much large spool and better deal in notions.

Antiquities Layouts Steampunk Travels & Butterflies

I didn't due much for this little layout but I am sure I will fill it with pictures.  I used the Donna Salazar Antiquities collection. This is the front and back of Harmony.  I have used mats from the die cut sheet in this collection.  On page one I used tissue tape from Hobby Lobby with miscellaneous flowers and Want to Scrap bling.  On page two I have used Tim Holtz butterfly tissue paper and another flower and bling.

This paper is Tales of Travel.  I created mats out of white cardstock for this set and used some metal tab travel embellishments.

I fussy cut some pieces of paper to create the paper embellishments.

"Imagine" steampunk GDC layout

Two page layout.

Here I used glossy accents to highlight the worded blurbs to make them "pop" more.  The flower embellishments are petaloo.  Most of the gears are Tim Holtz but some of the hardware is Hobby Lobby brand.

The paper is Steampunk Gentleman by Donna Salazar and GCD Studios.  I have used pieces from the die cut sheets in the  Antiquities collection.

Stampin' Up Christmas Cards

I made these cards a few years ago.  I absolutely love the felt snowflakes from Stampin Up!  I first purchased the punch and stamp set.  I also love the ease of this combination.  I have several Stampin Up punch/stamp combos and Purple Daisy.  I found the ribbon that matched so well!  I think it was Die cuts with a view.  I do know it wasn't Stampin Up!

I believe I used the blue bayou paper and ink from Stampin Up!

Sizzix Christmas Tree Card

First Attempt.

Second card.  I made these a few years ago.  I really like the paper.  It is from a My Mind's Eye Signature Christmas Stack Festive and Frost.  I used a glitter pen to accent the tree on both and brads on the second.

Frida Cards

These are a couple of designs from a few years ago.  I was very into heat embossing.  I was reminded of these cards because I used some heat embossing on  my latest xmas cards.  Lately, I really enjoy embossing folders which I used on the same cards.  They are almost finished and I will post them soon but in the meantime, I will reminisce about these cool cards I made a while ago!

I have never found a very good adhesive for vellum, although the latest Creative Memories tape runner is really good.  As I said these cards are old and I was still experimenting.  Aren't really always experimenting?  Anyway, I would now use the CM tape runner for such a project.  It is not perfect, but really disappears nicely under vellum.

Reminisce Zoo Friends Layout

This graveyard is right in the middle of the Lousiville Zoo!  I used the Reminisce Power Palette including designer paper, paper flowers and photo mats to make the cricut embellishments.  I used the Reminisce exclusive Creative Memories Cricut Cartridge to create this beautiful embellishments including the "friends" title below.

I love to fussy cut, well, I should say I like the versatility fussy cutting provides.  For instance the stone pillar about takes on a whole new look cut out and popped up.  Here, I didn't want to lose the sunflower shape in the paper so I tucked the journally box beneath the cut.  More cricut made embellishments and paper flowers.

Close to my heart Stamps & Creative Memories Papers Beautiful Cards

I am trying to use up old Creative Memories cardstock and papers.  I used a three color Brilliance ink which I think looks great with the Close to My Heart swirly dance stamps.  I added ribbon and bling to dress it up.

Reminisce used for Autumn Zoo Layout

I used the border maker system, again, it is my new favorite tool!  I used Harvest Die cut Paper on both pages, Reminisce tone on tone paper, paper flowers and paper frames.  The stickers are from the Reminisce Spring Addition. The title sticker is from the Reminisce Autumn Addition.  On the bongos page I used the Custom Cutting System Large Fancy Square Frame.

Yeah, we all make mistakes.  I have learned to live with it.  At least it is my handwriting!
