if not check out the entire lineup at the bottom.

Shhh...keep this a secret, I made this Altered Altoid Tin Mini Album for my husband's 40th birthday in a couple of weeks.

I used DCWV Glam Rock paper and silver metallic for most of the album.  The base is a Creative Memories black cardstock with some black shimmer paper, too.  I also used some old Mrs. Grossman's and CM sticker letters.

I used Tim Holtz and Creative Imaginations brads, bling and other embellishments.  I just love the bling around the edge.  It was Recollections from Michael's on a roll.  It is so "metal".  I just loved how this turned out, pretty good for my first attempt!  I hope he likes it.

:
"Making of a Rock Star" is the theme and I started with some crazy old pictures and ended with pics from our recent wedding last fall.

Close up of some mosaic stones I used with a cut out from the paper in the center.

I used some paper tape instead of ribbon for a more masculine look.

Both sides unfolded:

Cricut Art Noveau Hummingbird Layout

I created the humming bird with Core Couture Rodeo Drive (green) and Ball Gown (blue), they are both beautiful glitter papers.  I also used TPC orange shimmer, Recollections Ivory Shimmer and Creative Memories Black Shimmer.  I cut the hummingbird at 5.5".  I did not use the sliver of black to cover the end of the beak because in my picture of the hummingbird the beak was all orangish.

I used two fonts of Martha Stewart black glitter letters for the title.

Closer look.  I used TPC Hot Pink Shimmer as the back ground with Recollections ivory shimmer and CM black shimmer mats.  The vine is cut at 3.25".  I learned from a past mistake to cut the shadow first to make sure it would fit on the page.  Sometimes when I cut an image as large as it will go the shadow won't fit.

The two page that will be next to each other.  I don't want to call this a "two page layout".  The pictures are of different events but will be consecutive in the album so they need to compliment one another.  I used the same Cricut cut vine and used a "the" cut from the same cart.  I continued with the pink, black and ivory shimmer and the same MS black glitter letters as the "H" in hummingbird.

The second page

I am pretty thrifty, so I used partial pieces of paper to create this layout. Just be sure that your background is sturdy enough to hold your layout.

Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante Card

Happy Birthday Rhonda!  I have sent this one of kind card to a scrappy friend, I hope she received it by today!  I also sent her an ATC using a diecut she shared with me, I hope she likes it!  You can see that ATC here:  http://www.goldengoddessdesigns.blogspot.com/2014/01/the-paper-loft-shades-of-gray-atcs.html.  She made me some of the tiny view finder circles!  Love them!  thank you!

I made a beautiful card with Tim Holtz diecuts, Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante paper, Stampin Up stamp and punch and my brand new Anna Griffin "chalkboard" ink.  I cut the diecuts from shimmer paper, ivory and black.  I used some brads on some of the diecuts, I really like the black glitter swirly brad I just purchased from Michael's.  I also added some black lace ribbon and a diecut key also Tim Holtz.  The card base is ivory shimmer from Recollections.

Close up.

Happy St Patrick's Day Irish Goddess Card

Today I have used more of my Amazing Arts stamps.  You can find him on ebay.  He makes a lot of unusual stamps.  I stamped in two different colors.  The top card is SU Sage Shadow and the bottom is SU Wild Wasabi.  I tried heat embossing these but the detail did not pop out, it merged together.  I used We R Storytime collection paper name Gretel and die cut with the SU top note (this is a favorite, I use this one soooo much).  I also used Spellbinders Scalloped Circles to cut and emboss and a CM punch for the stamped image.  Queen & Co Twinkle Goosebumps are in the center of the Petaloo Flowers.  I used a SU label punch for the sentiment (a new favorite!).

Thanks for stopping by and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

irishbloghop2014

Are you looking for a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? Well, you’re in luck being at this blog hop!! We’ve got great projects from very creative designers today! So if you started at Janet's Creative World, then you’re in the right place. If not, please make sure you stop at all the blogs and leave a comment. Janet is giving away a Close To My Heart Cloud Nine Cardmaking kit valued at $45.00. Now there’s some gold you’ll want to have a chance on!

How’s that for blog candy?? Without further ado.. here’s my project:

I am using a new center step fold.  This was my first attempt, I used my new Stampin' Up Gumball Green paper and inks.  I used SU Celtic Knots stamp set for the long knots from years ago and Amazing Arts Green Man, sentiment and Celtic knot.  I punch the sentiment with a SU label punch, the small circles with CM punches and used a Spellbinders circle (cut and emboss) for the Green Man.  I added some flowers from the $1 bin from Michael's and some pearl bling from want2scrap.  And pop dots!  I used a you tube video but altered the measurements for an A2 size.  Cut your 8.5" x 11" in half on the long side, make a cut 1" in from both sides.  Make the cut from 1"-6.5" on both sides of the card.  Then score on the outside 1" strip at 1", 2" and 5.5".  Score the middle of the card at 4.5".  Fold up, then down, then up.  It is pretty easy.

Now do an Irish jig to the next blog: Sarah!

Here’s the line-up should you get distracted by other Leprechaun trying to trick you! Thanks for joining us today and be sure to wear green March 17th so you don’t get pinched!!
