Some enchanted evening...

My last layout of the month.  I am pretty sure I used a sketch but I can't seem to find it. ?!?!?!  This is also one of the last pictures you will see without my lightbox.  I am still getting it together, but I can tell a great difference.  The diffusion of light is great when photographing photos.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Peacock Power Palette
CM Blueberry sticker letters

I will always love you...more honeymoon layouts

I finally finished all my design team projects for March so I allowed myself to play along with some challenges.  This one is a redo.  I was playing along with the sketch and there is a special prize for combining with the lyrics to I will always love you.  If you read my blog you may remember, I used this sketch and lyrics, just not the lyrics from this song!  So I am trying this again.

Here's the sketch I used:

This time around, I didn't make a specifically romantic layout.  I just used a great pic of my hubby and some wonderful embellishments.

Ingredients:
Quick Quotes Catalina Island
K & Co embellishments

Moonlight Romance: Quick Quotes Mulberry Paper with Sketch N Scrap Sketch

Good morning! I made a corresponding page for yesterday's layout. Using the same wonderful new Mulberry paper pack from Quick Quotes'.  I used the same moon and stars die cuts and Recollections mulberry gems.

I used this great sketch from Sketch N Scrap:

Layout Sketches due February 28th

I did NOT cut this title out of the paper with my Cricut.  I decided to use up some of my old Creative Memories sticker letters since the Blueberry matched the papers so nicely.

I just love the little cluster here at the bottom:

Ingredients:
Sizzix Tim Holtz Moon and Stars die cut
Creative Memories Blueberry sticker letters, corner rounder and circle cutter
Recollections gems

Quick Quotes Night Time Layout with the New Mulberry Paper Pack

Good morning!  Alicia posting a layout with the new Mulberry paper pack.  The colors in this new pack are so rich!  I am loving the blues, purples and yellows.  They are so versatile. Here I have showcased several of the papers but using die cuts, templates and simple strips all on one page.

Here's a close up of my die cuts. I generously chalked the edges of the yellow paper with Desert Sun PowderPuff Chalking Ink for perfect shading on my moon and stars.  I popped the photo of my husband on a thin white mat to make sure the dark photo stood out from the blue papers.

Quick  Quotes Products used:
Mulberry paper pack papers 100, 101, 103 and 105
Navy PowderPuff Chalking Ink
Desert Sun PowderPuff Chalking Ink

other products:
Sizzix/Tim Holtz Moon and stars die

Quick Quotes Mulberry collection with Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge

This is the first card I made with the new Quick Quotes Mulberry collection.  Although most of the collection is bright, I took this yellow and created a pretty subtle card.  I mounted on Stampin Up Delightful Dijon to bring out the darker dots and inked generously with Quick Quotes Rusty Nail to bring out the embossing.

Here's the sketch from Atlantic Hearts Challenge:

No automatic alt text available.

The sentiment is stamped on the reverse side of the same yellow paper!  One of the reasons I love Quick Quotes papers so much. I didn't use the SU Delightful Dijon ink, it was just a bit too dark, so I went with Adirondack Butterscotch.  I also found these awesome little flowers in my stash!  I am sure they are a mark down from Michael's from many years ago.  So glad I found a the perfect spot!

Ingredients:
Quick Quotes Mulberry 100 paper
Quick Quotes Rusty Nail & Khaki Powderpuff chalking ink
Stampin Up Delightful Dijon card stock
Adirondack Butterscotch ink
Spellbinders Label Twenty-one
TPC Studio Inspiration quotes set
Sizzix/Tim Holtz embossing folder
ribbon, misc scrap paper and beaded flowers

Manor House with Stuck?! sketch

Chugging along with my scrapping.  This particular page was created to be opposite a page that I created a while ago.  I purchased a 25 count pack of this paper at Tuesday Morning...so there was still plenty.  On a side note, I really don't buy much paper anymore.  I have enough to last a lifetime (as Tiffany Spaulding would say).  When I do purchase paper it is very calculated.  This paper was so universal.  A subtle pattern in a neutral.  I have used it on numerous occasions and would you guess this is a Christmas paper?  basic grey's 25th and Pine Snowflake Road!!  It is red and full of snowflakes on the other side but this side is so awesome for a neutral print!

Here's the sketch I used from Stuck?!:

I made the star a palm tree and I found some green paper that was close enough to the opposite page's green that it will work.

I also used this pillar cut out from the same sheet I used on the opposite page although a different pillar.

I just hit this wood stamp embellishment with a little Quick Quotes Mocha Moma chalking ink and placed a picture inside.  The pic is a close up of the flowers from the bush in the picture!

Another wood embellishment and this one I covered in two different green chalks to get the color I desired. The little words are from an Art-C collage sheet.

Ingredients:
Cricut Close to my heart Artbooking cart
Creative Memories sticker letters and tag punch
Art-C collage sheet
basic grey 25th and Pine Snowflake Road paper and the yellow is from Spice Market
wood heart chalked with Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking ink
Stampin Up arrow punch

Fancy Box and Lantern with the NEW Quick Quotes Mulberry collection

Good morning Quick Quotes readers, Alicia here today.  I created a project with this month's challenge: hearts.  My project is an example of how you can use hearts anytime, not just for Valentine's Day.  I used the new Mulberry Paper Pack.  I just love the deep purple paper and I have said before how wonderful my Cricut cuts Quick Quotes paper.  It is especially obvious on an intricate cut such as this box.

On the first box I created I used the yellow paper for the inside to simulate light.  I dressed it up with all kinds of pearls and ribbon and a nice purple butterfly on top! Of course, I chalked all the edges with a matching Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking ink.  I also folded the top of the box "in" on this version.

On my second box, I used vellum for the inserts and placed a battery operated tea light inside to create a real lantern.  I turned the top "out" on this one and punched holes in all four panels to create a hanger with the fiber.  I also added pearls to this version.

Here it is all a glow!

Creative Memories Peacock layout

I was so excited to combine two challenges for an extra prize.  There is an offer to combine the February Rewind Sketch with Granddiva's scrap the lyrics challenge...only I didn't realize the lyrics had to be from Whitney Houston's I will always love you.  I love my layout anyway.  These song lyrics are especially appropriate for my honeymoon album since we played this song at our wedding.

Here's the sketch:

I was so excited.  This sketch is a great way to use up scraps!  I took all the small pieces from this collection and started punching circles and making banners.  It worked out wonderfully! I have no scraps under 6x12 in this collection now!

I also added some of the matching flower stickers like vines hanging down along the banners.

Love Layout with Stick It Down sketch

Happy Valentine's Day!

I managed to scrap quite a few pages in my honeymoon album over the weekend.  I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!  There are going to be two albums and the first one is almost complete.  I have not worked chronologically even though the albums are planned as such.  I have been skipping around so now I am going back and finishing up the pages I left out.

I used this two page sketch from Stick It Down:

Some close ups:

If the top two pics look discolored it is because they were taken with a filter to make the red pop!

Ingredients:
white, white swiss dot and red card stock
basic grey Spice Market Cardamon paper (both sides)
Quick Quotes Mulberry Paper pack (yellow)
Quick Quotes Barn Board and Desert Sun chalking inks
Martha Stewart border punch
Creative Memories tag punch and quote sticker
Spellbinders label twenty-one die
misc flowers, pearls, ribbon and twine

Happy Love Day!

Good morning!  Alicia here today with one last Valentine's card.  I just received the new Tutti Designs Dies Nesting Stitched Banners and I challenged myself to use every die in the set.  I pulled out my pink papers and went to right to work.  I found a variety of patterns and textures made using ALL the dies a breeze!

After creating the many pink layers, I inked all the edges and curled the corners just a little.   I added a few hearts cut from the same papers and some pink pearls to finish off the card.  It was really easy but made for an interesting card.
