Red Rocks! Quick Quotes September Club Q Layouts

Hello, Alicia with you today and I am using the rest of my September Club Q.  I also used my PIXMA iP8720 13x19 Wireless Printer to not only print the photos but also the titles.

I am on top of it with this layout, literally and figuratively, these are photos from a trip  just last month to Colorado.  These photos are from the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison which is at 6,400 feet above sea level!  In addition, this trip was a check off my bucket list.

I used Plum Powderpuff chalking ink to cover the white board titles included with this month's kit.

Here's my PIXMA iP8720 13x19 Wireless Printer in action.  I found it very helpful to adjust the settings depending on the paper and the document.  And another helpful hint is to use Canon brand paper which makes for more vivid photos.

This is a two page layout and here is page two.  I used the die cut frames included with September Club Q.

I inked all the edges with Midnight Confessions including the white board that I previously inked with  Plum.  Double inking blends and gives more dimension to the embellishments.

Apple Pie Recipe card

I worked up another apple card this week.  A little more distressed and rustic from the last one.  I found this awesome recipe paper in my fall paper stash.  I placed my die right over the apple pie recipe.  The background is the reverse side of the recipe paper for a perfect match!

Leafy Fall cards

I created another series of cards for a swap.  This one was a sketch swap and I was getting in the fall mood...that was last week, today not so much!  It's the first full day of autumn and it's 90 degrees!!!!  There are tons of leaves in my front yard from my black walnut tree...time for the kid to get raking!

Here's the sketch I used.
No automatic alt text available.

I used several different sentiments on the different variations.  Basically, I pulled out all my fall leaves from my stash.  I believe the leaves on the first two cards came from a fall swap years ago.  I inked the edges but the shimmer mist was already in place.

This set of leaves was from my Kiwi Lane DT days.  I loved the shimmer mist so much, I sprayed these leaves, too.  I embossed all my sentiments.

I ran out the appropriate sized leaves after these first three cards and I still needed more for my swap.  I found a Martha Stewart two layer punch and went to town with my scraps of orange, yellow and brown papers.  I also sprayed these with shimmer mist.

I hope I didn't bore you with so many pictures, they are all the same but still different!

Ingredients:
Martha Stewart punch
Kiwi Lane leaf templates
pre-cut tags
scrap papers
Recollections doilies
Our Daily Bread Designs double stitched rectangle dies
Tattered Angels shimmer mist
clear embossing powder
Anna Griffin chocolate ink
Close to My Heart stamps plus random from my stash
Quick Quotes Mocha Moma chalking ink

Music layouts from Creative Memories Virtual Crop

Last weekend, I participated in a virtual crop and completed about a dozen pages.  The first one is a festival from September 9. How's that for scrapping fast?  I got my tickets for this sold out festival at noon and it started at 1!  Some of my friends were already going so we all piled in to ride together.  It was perfect!  We also met some musicians and saw some other friends.  The band I wanted to go to see was the Marcus King Band.

Here's the sketch I used:

An autumn colored Thank you

I whipped this card up over the weekend as part of the Creative Memories Virtual Crop.  This was the only card challenge as part of the crop.  I love how this turned out.  The card base is a cover stock that I found at a thrift store, I am trying to use it as much as possible.  It is a crazy yellow~orange but has suited many cards lately.  I love that is cover stock, not card, it is so thick and textured. I added rows of border punched paper from Creative Memories Reminisce collection.

Here's the sketch.

4.25 x 5.5 Card Sketch - Page 001

And another view...you can see here how I manipulated the papers and flowers to provide dimension to my card.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Reminisce papers, stickers, border maker and flowers
Stampin Up stamp and punch
Colorbox Mix'd Media Berries ink
Recollections gems

The Proposal layout...Challenge Yourself Pagemap

I had quite a productive weekend. I played along with a virtual crop and managed to fit in a couple of challenges as well.  All in all I completed about a dozen pages and a dozen cards. One of the challenges I used was Challenge yourself's sketch.  I hardly participate over there since I rarely scrap myself...but I am currently working on my wedding album and for once I did NOT take all the pictures!  These pics are actually the proposal and my sister was my photographer for both events.

Some of my details include this layered embellishment I created.  I recently purchased a pack of color themed die cuts at Tuesday Morning, the pack I picked was gold.  I layered two of the pieces here.

Here I layered a fancy Spellbinders die cut with a chipboard die cut and some matching Creative Memories stickers.  Love was white and it was a little stark so I colored it with a silver shimmer pen.

I actually created this page first from a sketch during my virtual crop.  Then I searched the web for a sketch that would work with my photos for the companion page.

Here's the sketch I used for this one. I was playing along with the Creative Memories Virtual Crop.

12 x 12 Sketches - Page 006

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Divine collection (papers, flowers, enamel dots, stickers)
Creative Memories stickers
Quick Quotes vellum and chipboard titles
Spellbinders dies:  Decorative Labels twenty-seven, labels twenty and ribbon banner large
border punch

My Cup runneth over...Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

2017 fall hop

I managed to design one more quick coffee card last night.  I have long wanted to create a card with a coffee cup ring.  I do not own such a stamp so I improvised.  I inked up the bottom of a glass with a little water involved and just twisted the glass on a piece of paper.  I supposed that is about as realistic as I can get.  I did use a stamp for the splatter.

Once I inked up the stamp, I added a little water to it and it made an actual splat!  So again pretty realistic except I was using Ground Espresso Distress ink instead of coffee.  I used my MISTI to perfectly position the sentiment in the middle of my ring and stamp it several times for good coverage.

Close ups of my handy work:

Ingredients:
Ground Espresso Distress ink and paint
Stamplorations Literary Caffeine-ations sentiment
Recollections Splat stamps
Our Daily Bread Designs Double Stitched Rectangle dies
Creative Memories papers
brown card stock
