Cricut Sesame Street Celebrations~4th Birthday Count card

My nephew recently turned four and I made this special card for him.  I used the Cricut Sesame Street Celebrations cartridge and a Creative Memories font.  The Count is so many layers, but I love how detailed he turned out.

I lost the two small grey dots on the suit, so I upgraded them to metallic gems.

Ingredients:
Cricut Sesame Street Celebrations and Total Sports Varsity font

Judikins Mica Gloss Background Magic card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

It's time again for the next Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I have created one last Halloween card for you to enjoy.  I used a Judikins Mica Gloss background created on black glossy card stock to jump start this spooky card.

Here's the sketch this week from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge as you can see I turned it to suit the printed ribbon.

The witches' cauldron was made with manual die cuts.  The sentiment is a Creative Memories sticker that I adhered to a black card stock strip trimmed to a banner.  The most inventive part of this cluster is the purple piece~it is a paint chip!  I used a Spellbinders die cut to get the most of the chip.

I used glitter card stock on the cauldron for a splash of fun!

Ingredients:
Judikins Mica Gloss
Spellbinders Labels Four die
Quickutz cauldron 2x2 die
Creative Memories sticker
ribbon, fiber, paint chip, bling
glossy, glitter and shimmer card stock, misc paper
Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking ink

Dia de Muertos~Cricut Autumn Celebrations~Bitten By the Bug 2 Challenge

Welcome to the latest challenge for Bitten by the Bug 2.  The theme is Fall Holiday~Anything Goes.  I used the Cricut cart Autumn Celebrations.  It has so many good images for fall holidays.  I used it to create a scrapbook layout and a card celebrating Dia de Muertos or the Day of Dead.

I used the sketch from The Studio Challenges:

I used solid color card stock for my cuts.  But I added some flocked paper as a mat piece.  Of course, the green glitter background is bling~y enough, however, I added some Robin's Nest gems.

So Sweet bee card using Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to today's inspiration for the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge sketch.  I love this week's sketch and the vast versatility!  I have been wanting to use this background paper ever since I purchased it as part of a kit.  The kit is really fantastic and I can't wait to use more of it.

Here is the sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

When I saw this sketch I wanted to try another shape besides squares and the hex's worked perfectly with the bee theme.  To create this card I used the following steps:
  1.  Recollections precut card base 5"x 7"
  2. Cut background paper 4.5"x 6.5"
  3. Die cut and emboss four pieces golden Distress card stock with hex dies
  4. Die cut and emboss four pieces black paper with stitched hex dies
  5. Die cut sentiment from golden Distress card stock
  6. Ink edges of all paper with chalking ink
  7. Add bee stickers to center of golden die cut hexes
  8. Add lace ribbon to bottom of printed paper and trim off excess
  9. Add flower with brad in center to ribbon strip
  10. Adhere sentiment below ribbon strip with glue
  11. Layer and adhere hexes to top section of card
  12. Add a writing panel inside

Ingredients:
Recollections card and envelope
Spellbinders Phrases set one
Stitched Hexagon nesting die 7 count
Creative Memories Stickers
Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking inks
Flower, brad, and lace ribbon
Distress card stock and various papers

Elmo's Happy Halloween

Good morning and welcome to the latest Bitten by the Bug 2 Challenge.  This challenge is all about PUMPKINS. I designed a card for my nephew using Mini Monsters and Sesame Street Celebrations.

I cut the images a bit too large.  I had to trim off some of the spider web but it did give me an opportunity to dig out some of those card and envy packs from Michael's.  I have all the basic colors but for the most part make my own A2 cards.  So this was an great time to pull out the larger cards to use as my base.

I am a big fan of inking all my edges. Sometimes it might look a little messy but for the most part I like the dimension and depth it gives such precisely cut pieces with my
Cricut.

Ingredients:
Cricut Mini Monster and Sesame Street Celebrations cartridges
misc papers and card stock
Recollections 5x7 card base
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking ink

I used my Cricut to create this out of this world card.  The cartridge is Simple Pop-Up cards.  I added a few different details to make this one my own.  I used a metallic silver paper on the back side for the UFO.  I also used a different color paper for the mouth, dots and eyes.

I could let the front be plain although there is no comparison to the great detail of the inside.  I double layered some die cut stitched rectangles with a border punched strip of green coordinating with the inside colors.  I used the negatives from the border punch to sprinkle on the front.  I even used a few on the outside of the envelope also cut with my Cricut to fit perfect.

Ingredients:
Cricut Simple Pop-Up cards
Our Daily Bread Designs Double stitched rectangle dies
Spellbinders phrase set two
OMFL starry night border maker cartridge
brushed metallic card stock
yellow shimmer card stock
misc other papers/card stock
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking inks
