Wedding layout with Sketch in Thyme

Today I have another layout for my SIL.  I mostly scrapped 2020 photos but this wedding went back to 2019.   I admit I am having a hard time remembering what I have already scrapped, I am pretty sure I didn't get around to this event.

Here is the sketch from Sketches in Thyme.

I printed this photo in 5"x7" and cut it down.  I sprayed the white back ground paper with shimmer mist.  It didn't highlight the embossed image as much as I had desired but I went with it.  It is still very pretty IRL.

I added lots of pearl flourishes and bling around the "wreath"

Ingredients:
Heidi Swapp Invisible paper
Tattered Angels Almost Black shimmer mist
Creative Memories paper flowers
Recollections and Martha Stewart bling clusters
Want 2 Scrap Pearl bracket, pearls and gems
Creative Memories sticker letters
misc black and white printed paper
Kiwi Lane bracket 3 template

Bundle Up with Sketches in Thyme

This is probably my favorite layout I created over the holiday weekend.  I absolutely love this photo.  I dug into my winter paper stash and found a few of these kits.  I love this paper and I am so excited to pair it with this great pic.

Here's the sketch from Sketch in Thyme.

I used two sheets of this designer paper, the wonderful paisley background and the lineal patterned paper is tucked behind the photo and to frame the title.

Storytellers Club kits came with lots of die cuts, I used several of the snowflakes sprinkled around.  I added a journaling strip for my SIL to add her info.

A close up of the photo cluster.

Ingredients:
The Storytellers Club kit (from 2010)
Creative Memories alpha stickers
heart doily
white eyelet paper border

Wedding layout with Rochelle Spears sketch

I am scrapping for my SIL's album I started for her a couple of years ago.  I am behind.  This wedding is from 2019.  I found this great black and white paper in my stash.  I found two sheets size 11.5"11.5"??? So I mounted it on a 12"x12" white card stock. Looks great but as far as I know this is NOT old Creative Memories...where did this paper come from?

I used this great sketch from Rochelle Spears.

I used a couple of these white border die cuts on the layouts I created for my SIL.  Glad to use up my stash.  I dressed this one up with enamel dots.

I also used the Little Yellow Bicycle die cut I have had in my stash for years.

I created the banner strips with the second sheet of paper using the reverse print.

Ingredients:
misc black and white paper
black and white card stock
white border
Little Yellow Bicycle 6x6 decorative edged card stock scallop circle
Creative Memories paper flower
Recollections enamel dots
Want 2 Scrap say it with pearls
Creative Memories black alpha stickers

Dirt Mover with Sketch N Scrap sketch

I spent my long holiday weekend scrapping.  I am sending these to my SIL to add to her album. Young children are so much more fun to scrap.  My grown child won't even let me get a picture any longer.

Here is the sketch I used from Sketch N Scrap.  I made a few modifications.  I only had two photos and I didn't use a subtitle.

I found an assortment of products by various manufacturers but I feel they came together nicely for this very BOY layout.

Ingredients:
We R Inked Rose orange wash paper
TCP Studio The Great Outdoors Compass paper (reverse side)
Little Yellow Bicycle Fern & Forest chevron paper
yellow and black card stock
Autumn Leaves Tailor made boy sentiment ribbon
Creative Memories stickers

Cricut Holiday Gift Boxes

Good morning, I hope you are all at home enjoying time with your families.  I have a few more last minute projects to inspire you until the current Bitten By the Bug 2 Challenge closes January 4.  I created several boxes to hold my thin mint cookies.  I gave them to my coworkers for the holidays.

I am just in love with the pie box despite the issues I had.  The glitter paper did not cut and score as well as I would have liked.  It was very thick.  I did manage to clean up the cuts but there are some random creases in the lid. I thought putting a fancy flower on top would distract.

Then I went crazy.  I used the negatives snowflakes from the box below since they were from the same paper stack.  I layered them on top of some sheer blue flowers.  I added a few floral picks from my stash, icy berries and wispy tiny tan leaves.

Another view, this snowflake was an intricate cut for a glitter embossed thick card stock.  It ripped in a couple of places but with the help of glue and a the backing layer, I think I managed to put it back together without notice.

Festivus for the Rest of Us

May I present this year's primary card...I absolutely fell in love with this stamp set from Kindred Stamps.  I knew right away I wanted to create Festivus cards. My husband really helped out as we created an assembly line.  He die cut all the "poles" and black pierced circles.  I colored all the George's and well all the rest...but his doing the die cutting really helped the process.  Despite his assist I am sure I will find plenty to say when we have the airing of the grievances for 2020!

I know George likes to where a plaid shirt but I could not fathom coloring plaid so I made his shirts red and used plaid for the background. I started with some plaid papers from various 6x6 paper stacks, I made so many cards I eventually found some 12x12 plaid paper to make more per sheet than one background.

I stamped George and the sentiment in archival ink.  I used a variety of alcohol markers to color George.  I made so many I got the process down pretty well.

I could not for the life of me find a die from which to cut the sentiment so I just trimmed into a rectangle.  And edged with black ink as I did all the elements.

I used a "straw" die for the pole and just cut small pieces for the base.

The inside of my card.  I printed an image I found on a google search.

My MISTI really came in handy making multiple cards.

I stamped this sentiment where I would normally stamp my "hand made by" on the back.

One last plaid...

Karen Burniston Santa's Winter Greetings

Hello there, Alicia designing today.  I created another winter greeting to add to my pile of holiday cards.  I was pleased with this card.  I began by creating a Karen Burniston Santa.  I used her instructional video to get tips before I started.  Threading the belt through the tiny belt buckle was the hardest part, otherwise there are just a lot of layers.  I used pens and inked the edges to finish off the jolly old elf.

I wanted Santa to stand out so I decided on the layers of snow as a background.  I used a glitter paper, a vellum and a shimmer paper as snow and a snowfall patterned paper as the bottom layer.  I cut all the snow layers with various Lawn Fawn borders.

Products used:
Bo Bunny 6x6 papers
misc card stock and papers
alcohol and gel pens

and from the Dies R Us Store
