Quick Quotes Mini Reserve Toledo

Hello!  Alicia here today, I want to tell you about the fantastic time I had at the Quick Quotes Mini Reserve in Toledo!  I attended the last weekend of August and I have already made several post about what a wonderful time I had!  You can find the first post here, another here and finally some layouts from the class here.  The weekend was so packed full of classes and fun it is hard to cover in one post but here it goes...

This first picture is of the classroom, instructors and the Bonus Pack Pre-Order bundle which is worth every dime!  I can't wait to finish my album we started, I will have a little more on that below.

This picture is of the projects we did on the second day.  I just love the flip book and I learned so many wonderful techniques to dress it up!  We also learned many good tips to alter a mini album.

Here are some fun and games!  The long table is all the projects brought in for the contest.

Here's my haul and along the bottom is the prize table and let me tell you EVERY ONE is a winner!

Now more on the 20 album pages we worked on the first day.  It would be impossible to complete the entire 20 pages of the album the in class especially if you like to ink it up like me!  The crop in the evening is a perfect for finishing up the layouts.  I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with my album until I came back home then decided on a family vacation we took a few years ago. This was a BIG family vacation, with my dad and sister and all the kids.  Actually, the kids outnumbered the adults!  It didn't take long at all to have these pictures printed and start finishing up the layouts I began in class. Remember, these are all Quick Quotes kits, I changed some the orientation of a few photos and added a few of my own embellishments, otherwise everything came from the Mini Reserve.

Inking and placing all these little pieces is a bit too time consuming for class plus some of the layout depends on your pictures, but it came together beautifully when I got home.

One of my favorite techniques I learned during the weekend was making the burlap flowers.  These flowers are just fantastic!

This is the layout that convinced me to use this album for this vacation. It has such "teen" colors. These particular papers are from Whistlin Dixie, I can't wait to use more of them.

This has to be my favorite layout and I wondered how it was going to work since I print mostly in 4x6 but I let loose and started cutting up my pictures...I mean they didn't have people in them right?  I think it turned out lovely!  I did add the peachy bling to this set and cut some with my Cricut.

I had to show off some of these details!  Quick Quotes really knows how to design a great layout.

Finally, this layout was part of the Bonus Pack Pre-Order bundle, I was totally enamoured with this sunshine and again, I just knew it would work so well with my vacation photos.  A note about this double page kit...I decided to time myself, it took just under one hour to put together this wonderful detailed kit with lots of inking. I think the pages speak for themselves!

I was completely satisfied with my MIni Reserve weekend!  I learned new techniques, met amazing ladies, had a great time and accomplished so much!   With this awesome kit from Quick Quotes I have a lot of work already done for me.  But, I can't wait to use my Bonus Pack Pre-Order bundle to create my own layouts and finish my album. If you have a Mini Reserve near you, I encourage you to attend.  Toledo was a few hours away but so worth the trip!  Thanks for stopping by today.
