Miss Kate Cuttables Woodland Owl card

I have another card from my Miss Kate Cuttables images.  I love owls.  You may have seen my Graduation Owl card for my niece.  This one I created the owl and then decided to make a card using the We R Happy Campers paper as the background.

These tiny stars are part of the MKC cut but the "moon" is a stitched manual die from ODBD.  I used a silver pen for the dots in the eyes.

In this photo you can see the awesome dimension in this cut file.

Quick Quotes Club Q Redesigned Boy layout

Good morning, Alicia here today for Quick Quotes Club Q inspiration.  I am using pieces and parts from past kits to create a unique new layout.

Here are several pieces of the April 2018 Club Q kit I used on my layout.

I added a strip of Far and Away 102 paper for a fun border.

Here I am inking the die cuts with Mango Mai Tai, and Cactus Powderpuff chalking inks to create the base for my embellishments.  To finish them, I added other layers of die cuts, buttons and brads. (psst...that awesome yellow flower brad is from a past kit, too).

I inked the edges of the frame die cut with Bermuda Powderpuff chalking ink.  Sometimes I get a bit more than just the edges but I love the distressed look.  I used my Cricut to cut my nephew's name.

The best part of social media is lifting pics of my nephew!  I downloaded them and print on my PIXMA iP8720 Wireless Printer .  It was so quick and easy.  I printed the pics in 3x5 and cut them down to fit the die cut frame.  If they had been my own pictures, I would have edited and printed in a smaller size, but these were not edited and had plenty of room to be trimmed.

Here's the sketch:

Here's a close up of the die cut.  I layered smaller gears and brads to "make" the flowers.

Cricut sign for 325 Market Street

I am beginning to sell my cards to the public.  A friend has opened a store and purchased a card rack.  I created a logo sign for the top of the rack.  I started with foam core but the edges didn't cut smoothly.  I then die cut a couple of white glossy circles just a hair larger than the foam core.  I found a copy of my image on the internet and uploaded it to Cricut Design Space using a simple cut.

I believe I used Chocolate Box font to create my lettering.  I used the original paper as a stencil to place my letters.  After making this one, I purchased some of my own display racks and made a few more of these without the lettering since I have a huge banner for my booth.  I thought just the goddess was nice.

And finally the rack all filled with my card in my friends' photography studio/store.  The name is Studio 325/325 Market Street.  Check it out in Taylor Mill, KY.   Currently, there is a contest on the Facebook page stop by and LIKE for a chance to win a gift card or if you are local stop by and register to win an even bigger gift card!

Solstice Greetings! Cricut Iron-on Vinyl: Marshall's bibs and onesies

Hello and Solstice Greetings!  I would just like to put it out there, this baby boy should be born today!  Mom is a few centimeters dilated right now, so this could happen.  What a wonderful day to be born!  Unfortunately, I had a friend's father pass today and wouldn't that be perfect to have a birth to balance the day...and don't you know I have some friends who are marrying today.  What a great day even though it is raining buckets on this first day of summer in Cincinnati.  So here is what I made for the impending bundle of joy.

I finally tried my hand at using iron on vinyl.  I was looking on Amazon and Target at some adorable onesies but they were not going to arrive in time for the shower and so expensive.  I said to my self...I can do that!  Plus shopping for a project is fun!  I grabbed the Marshall Amplifier logo off the www, since that is his namesake.  I spent over an hour cleaning up the image and it is not perfect but very good.  The first item I tried were these non printed bibs that were part of the pack.

Then I progressed to onesies.  I wanted black since the Marshall logo is traditionally white but none of the places I went had them.  I have heard since Hobby Lobby sells black.

Next I had this great idea to make mom and dad a shirt!  I added the 's in as similar a font I could find.  I used the Rock Princess font for mom and dad.

Here's the set.  The happy couple plan on taking their first family photo in these.

Here's a round up of everything that I made.  I only wasted a few inches of vinyl with mistakes.  Not too bad for my first time.  I forgot to use mirror image on a couple of cuts.

Finally, after the shower I came home with one of their diaper bags, which I promptly personalized.  (The skull was already on the bag).

I am so happy for the couple but I really did not intend to make them cry.  I was telling someone the story and they said that just means it was a heartfelt gift.  I like giving those.  These are a couple of special young people.

Ingredients:
Mark Richards Iron On Vinyl
Cricut Rock Princess Boy Skull font
Cricut Quarter Note font
T shirts from Joann's
Gerber onesies
Chick pea bib set

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you are inspired to try something new...and maybe get carried away with it!

Never Have Enough Nature...Quick Quotes Masculine card

Hello Quick Quotes readers, Alicia blogging today.  I chose to work with this awesome quote from Navigator Quotes and Phrases sheet.  All the quotes, phrases and title sheets are full of  amazing pieces that are perfect for titles, focal points or an embellishment strategically placed.  Here I have used it as the focal point for my masculine card.  I simply layered it on top of coordinating papers all the edges inked.

I added pop dots to elevate the quote from the mat papers as well as a couple of strips of sheer ribbon to really make the quote pop off the card.

For my finishing touches, I fussy cut some of the fish from the Navigator paper which as you can see also match the quote.  I heavily inked the blue fish with Deep Sea PowderPuff Chalking Ink.  I found the perfect champagne colored sequins in my stash to imitate bubbles.

The Navigator collection is perfect for a masculine card or outdoor adventure layout.  I can't get enough of the 101 paper, both sides have so many uses.  If you don't have a use for the fish the other side is a great coordinating color with the rest of the collection as well as other newly released collections.

Miss Kate Cuttables Guest Designer Camping layouts

Good morning, I am so excited to be today's Miss Kate Cuttables Guest Designer!  There were so many fantastic images with which to work.  It was hard to decide but I always have tons of camping pics, so this great title and the Camping borders were perfect for my many pages.  Really the arrows are so versatile, I am thinking pages of my nephew or masculine greeting cards.

I love how detailed the title is, of course, one could leave off any layers but I chose to use every one.  I also chalk all my edges to give the layers the appearance of even more dimension.

All the printed papers are from the same collection, however they are a bit different so I used the tree border to provide a cohesiveness to my pages.  The tree border is two layers, one in brown for the trunk and a green print for the foliage.

On the second page I utilized scrap paper to create embellishments which I added on top of another arrow border.  I simply fussy cut and added pop dots to the back.  I cut the same border twice in two different papers then off set them on the page.

I added some of the extra tree cuts from the title in a cluster here.  I also had these adorable camping brads.  As you can see this was a pretty wet camp out and I don't have many great pics.

Ingredients:
Miss Kate Cuttables Camping borders and Camping fun title
GCD The Great Outdoors papers
misc papers including shimmer
brads

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope I have provided some inspiration for you.  Don't forget to check out my blog for more Miss Kate Cuttables projects.

Miss Kate Cuttables Graduation Owl

Hello, I am gearing up for my Miss Kate Cuttables Guest Designer post in a couple of days.  I just love her owls and this Graduation version was perfect for my niece's graduation card.  The sentiment is a different cut file but they work great together.

To make my owl a little more feminine I put a pearl in the middle of the tie.  I also felt the background paper from Quick Quotes lent to the feminine quality of the card.  I added dots to the eyes with a silver pen.  I believe the stars and diploma were part of the sentiment cut file.  I love those stars with the two layers, I will definitely be using them again.

Ingredients:
Miss Kate Cuttables Graduation Owl and Graduation Day
Quick Quotes Serenade 101 paper (background)
misc card stock from my stash

I have made a scrapbook layout.  I used a Miss Kate Cuttable image for the title but added a manual cut, too!  This is seriously mixed up brand wise.  I don't think I used any two products from the same company, maybe a couple of the card stocks are Bazzill.

The leaves on this title are two layers.  The first layer is a muted green and the top layer is a green vellum.  I thought they looked super cool so I made extras and tucked them behind the popped up title.

I found this vellum quote sticker in my stash.  I have no idea of the brand.

I love this set of stamps and dies from Local King Rubber...there's a hippie bus too!  I use it every chance I get.

Ingredients:
Miss Kate Cuttables The Great Outdoors title
Stampin Up Wild Wasabi ink
Local King Rubber Stamps and die (kayak)
Misc papers from my stash
vellum quote sticker

Up next is Sue!

Here's our line up in case you get lost along the way.
