Be Jolly with Quick Quotes and the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Good morning! I am so excited to participate in the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I am using Quick Quotes new Holly Jolly Holiday paper  with Tim Holtz dies.  I used a stamped sentiment and layered some concentric Frantic Stamper dies to frame it.

The trick to creating detailed die cuts is to layer, layer, layer.  I made 3 cuts for each cup and stamped and punched the peppermint center.  As a final touch I used a red pen to create stripes on the straw.

A close up of the completed cups.

Good Cheer: Quick Quotes Card Inspiration

Hello, Alicia with you today with some card inspiration.  I used a special fold to create some good cheer for the upcoming holiday season.  I used a die to create this side step card but prior to owning it, I followed simple instructional videos to make several different styles of step cards.  I used a papers and a sentiment from the new Holly Jolly Holiday collection.

Once the fold was cut from plain card stock, I followed these steps to complete the card:
  • Measure "steps" and cut panels to fit on each one
  • Cut various die cuts from paper scraps
  • Ink all edges with Powderpuff Chalking inks
  • Adhere panels
  • Decorate with die cuts
  • Use floss to "string" together lights
  • Use glossy accents to highlight various parts of die cuts

A tip for creating detail die cuts is to add layers of papers, bling, ribbon and inking making simple paper pop.  I used different color papers for the inside segment of the lights.  I also used different reds for the berries on the holly.  I added glossy accents to both to add life.

Quick Quotes products:
Holly Jolly Holiday papers 101, 103  and Quotes 500
Powderpuff chalking inks:  Green Leaf and Barn Board

other products:

gloss:  Diamond Glaze by Judikins
dies:  Memory Box Christmas Lights, Cheery Lynn step card and Sizzix Holly
hole punch
floss

Sending you Good Cheer and thanks for stopping by today.

Welcome to this week's inspiration for Bitten By the Bug 2.  This week's challenge theme is Ornaments.  I used an intricate ornament image from the Christmas cartridge.  Since I used plain card stock for all the layers.  I added an embossed harlequin stamped image with Versamark embossed in clear to add some subtle design. I also stamped and embossed the sentiment.

Here's a close up.  I added one gem to the center.

Ingredients:
Christmas cartridge

Wedding layouts with Quick Quotes Private Reserve Page Kit completion

I have a few more wedding pages...I am continuing to use kits from Quick Quotes Mini Reserve.  This Page Kit is All My Blessings.  There were several options for titles to go in the label but I choose to hand write my titles.  I also added several wedding embellishments to the squares in the die cut frame from the kit.

Here I added some wedding die cuts to enhance the theme.

Page two.  I added my own titles as the kit came with grandparents and family sentiments.

More wedding themed die cuts and stamped images.

Ingredients:
Quick Quotes Premier Page Kit All My Blessings
Stampin Up Label Love stamp and matching punch

Quick Quotes Autumn Brilliance Cards

Hello, Alicia with you today.  I just received the latest Autumn Brilliance paper pack.  It contains so many lovely prints.  The leaves on this print from Autumn Brilliance 100 paper were perfect for a simple autumn embellishment.  I die cut the paper with a stitched edged die for interest.

I used a couple of Powderpuff chalking inks to ink up the chipboard leaves.

I completed the card with the following steps:
  • Stamp and die cut sentiment
  • Design bow with twine and adhere to die cut background with red line tape
  • Adhere background piece to card stock
  • Adhere inked chipboard leaf with a glue dot under the twine bow
  • Ink edges of sentiment and adhere to background

I create a second card with similar steps but instead of a stamped image I used a sticker sentiment.

Quick Quotes products:
Powderpuff Chalking inks: Cactus and Barn Board
Autumn Brilliance Paper Pack

other items:
Stamped sentiment:  Close to My Heart

Good morning!  Welcome to my inspiration for this week at Atlantic Hearts Challenge.  I was thinking a little out of the box for this sketch.  Actually, I have had this Cheery Lynn die for a minute and had not used it as of yet.  I saw it and thought that it could fit with this week's sketch.

Here's the sketch:

Here is my project.  I made a layout for my niece.  I am going to frame it for an Xmas gift. I found these wonderful cow stickers at Tuesday Morning recently and found them to be most useful for this hop.

I layered the large sticker which was really two pieces on a metallic paper die cut stitched mat then layered that on a kraft doily.

I layered the old Creative Memories stickers on white card stock then fussy cut and popped up with dots.

I added the smaller cow stickers on circular stitched die cuts out of the same metallic card stock.  I found the paisley printed adhesive backed fabric in my stash...I have had it for so long and this project was perfect for it!

Ingredients:
Quick Quotes Farmhouse papers
misc papers and fiber from my stash
Creative Memories stickers
Art-C cow 3D stickers
Our Daily Bread Designs Double Stitched Circles and Rectangles
doily and twine

Quick Quotes Farmhouse Birthday Card

Good morning, today's project is a sweet birthday card.  I am using the retired Quick Quotes paper collection Farmhouse.  These papers are just so pretty and feminine.  I added to the femininity with the stitched scallop border punch from Creative Memories.  I manipulated the edges to flare out.  I added a bit of fancy rickrack along the seam of the papers which IRL is a delightful touch, the picture does not do it justice.

I used this sketch from Try Stamping on Tuesday last month...but forgot to post in time to play along.  It is hard to see but I did add 3 tiny pearls just to the right of the tab.  I stamped, embossed and punched the sentiment then popped it up on dots.

Ingredients:
Quick Quotes Farmhouse papers
Creative Memories border maker
Recollections rickrack
Stampin Up Label Love stamped sentiment from 2013
coordinating SU Artisan label punch
Recollections Pesto Pearl embossing powder
