Stampin Up Happy b-day with Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge
Good day, it's time again for another sketch inspirations for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. This week I used some Quick Quotes papers and Stampin Up stamps and inks.
A close up of my stamping. I used a mix of stamp sets.
Here is the sketch:
I found myself in need of several birthday cards recently so I made several different versions of this one. I alternated the color of the sentiment and rotated colors of candles and balloons.
I also tried different die cuts for the white panels. I used some stitched, some plain and some with more detail.
Ingredients:
Stampin Up Cycle Celebration, Balloon Celebration and Pretty Petites stamps
Stampin Up Petite Curly and Balloon Bouquet punch
Stampin Up inks: Real Red, Pool Party, Crushed Curry, Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery
Peacock Feathers Distress ink
Close to My Heart Sorbet ink
Quick Quotes Secret Garden 101 paper

Cricut Mandalorian cards for Bitten By the Bug's Star Wars/Stars challenge
Welcome to the latest Bitten by the Bug 2's Star Wars or Stars challenge. I had a lot of fun with this challenge. I created an entire 8.5 x 11" page of galaxy background, so you are sure to see some more galaxy cards in the future. For this first card, I popped a super cute cut of the child.
Ingredients:
Cricut Star Wars Star Wars: The Child cut
Distress Oxides: Black Soot, Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron, Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin
Smooch vanilla shimmer mist
Kindred Stamps Galactic Sidekicks sentiment
misc papers
My second card is from another image set, Rise of Skywalker. My husband wants this on a tee shirt.
Ingredients:
Cricut Rise of Skywalker cut
misc papers including chalkboard card stock
And my last card, I love it but it's not exactly as planned. I know how to improve it, for one use green's instead of blues. I just went with the Cricut default colors because it looked sleek, but in reality I think it would have looked better in green shades. I also used blue vellum, I just liked the color.
After assembling the cut, I decided it would look really cool with light shining through. But how could light shine through on a card? Well make the card out of acetate. Here is a shot with the light behind the cut. I stamped the sentiment in Staz-On because that is the ink that works on acetate.
Ingredients:
Cricut Star Wars Star Wars: The Child cut
Kindred Stamps Galactic Fighters sentiment
Midnight Blue Staz On ink
acetate, vellum, shimmer paper, chalkboard cardstock and other papers
black ink on edges

Creative Memories Jewel Power Palette with Sketches in Thyme
Hello and welcome to my monthly scrapbook layout for Sketches in Thyme. I took a break from my nephew as my subject matter and moved to travel. I recently created a mini for my friends in the photo. We went to visit since we didn't make it to their wedding on Valentine's Day. So I had the group shot as a leftover from their album, I decided to print a few more in black and white from that day and make a pretty page for myself.
Here's the sketch:
The photos sure look striking in black and white. My software had a few choices of black and white. I chose the "television" version. I use Forever's Historian.
Historian used to a Creative Memories software. Can you tell I used to be a consultant? I found these papers in my stash and thought they were nice with the black and white photos.
I had to really dig to find this clear sticker. I love them. I love how you can layer them on top of almost anything. Here I was pressed for space and needed the sentiment to overlap.
Ingredients:
Creative Memories Jewel Power Palette and Travel addition
Zig Brown pen
Quick Quotes Mocha Moma powderpuff chalking ink

Graphic 45 Time to Celebrate with Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge
Hello, it's my turn again at Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge. This week I a pretty set of birthday cards using Graphic 45 papers and stamps. This green one was my first and favorite.
A close up.
Here is the sketch for this week:
I should have found a coordinating paper for the outer mat of the sentiment here instead of the same solid color. I was in a hurry and didn't think it through.
This stamp has a distressed font.
On the final card, I was in such a hurry not only did I use the same paper for the mat again but I smeared the ink because I used a pigment instead of the dye I used for the others.
Ingredients:
Graphic 45 Celebrate 1 stamps
Graphic 45 Time to Celebrate 6x6 paper
Stampin Up Wild Wasabi and Cameo Coral inks
Anna Griffin Chocolate pigment ink
Our Daily Bread Designs pierced circles
ribbon and sequins

Karen Burniston Whimsical Animals Pocket Letter for Dies R Us
Hi there, if you are a regular reader, you know I love the Karen Burniston animals. However, I have not played around with dressing them up using the Accessory packs. I designed a bunch of little animals and dressed them up. I decided a pocket letter was the best way to show them all off.
I created a little scene with the Karen Burniston Backyard Charms flower and snail dies. I added some fussy cut clouds from the background paper on top of the pocket page. I like the 3-D look. It also worked to secure some of the openings.
The fox is a super hero flying in the sky. Helpful tip for this post - cut an extra fox/raccoon head out of white and inlay the ears for a finished look. You could also layer white paper behind.
Here's another little scene I created with the butterfly, grass and mushroom also from the Karen Burniston Backyard Charms set.
I dressed the raccoon as a football player. I used scraps of die cut edges for the ground here and fencing on the cow section.
I created a paper cover for the edge out of the same background paper and layered more fussy cut clouds on top.
