Slimline Retirement card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Today I have for your consideration a slimline card created for the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I recently created this card for a coworkers retirement. I very much enjoyed stacking up all the flowers as I knew I would give this at the party and not have to mail it.

Here is the sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge:

Ingredients:
Stitched Hex dies
Tutti Slimline Stitched rectangle dies
Blooming Marvelous Hydrangea sentiment stamp
My Mind's Eye Jen Allyson Unforgettable Firsts paper
Flowers and brads

Art Nouveau Dragonfly Birthday card for Bitten by the Bug 2

Good morning and welcome to the latest Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge. The theme this time around is birthday.  I had the the dragonfly cut in my stash.  Luckily, I still had some of the same papers to create the rest of the card. I had the same coral card stock from the center of the dragonfly.  I used it and the same brown to cut the sentiment using the Art Nouveau font.

I was also able to match the yellow Bazzill card stock exactly.  I found the teal shimmer made a great card base.  The reason I didn't use this cut in the first place was the size.  It is 7" across. I must have added the brown shadow after the fact and didn't quite account for the extra dimension.

Fast forward a couple of years and slimline cards are all the rage!  Yeah me!  Now I had this great cut.  I also have some slimline dies in my stash.  I used a stitched slimline panel while allowing .25" of the teal shimmer to be revealed on the top and bottom.  The final dimensions are 4" x 8.5".

Ingredients:
Cricut Art Nouveau images and font
Tutti Designs Stitched Slimline die
misc card stock including glitter, shimmer and Bazzill

Sue Wilson Indonesian Collection for Dies R Us

Hello, and welcome to my blog today.  I have used dies from the Sue Wilson Indonesian Collection  to make this 5" x 5" square card.  I used coordinating papers to create a cohesive ensemble.

Here is the card base with all the cut layers prior to assembly.

I purposefully cut the oval backing piece with the heart showing through the "window".  This lent itself perfectly to the die cut sentiment from the same paper collection.

I used pop dots for the sentiment and the center oval section.

Ingredients:
and
Quick Quotes Papers and sentiment
glue and pop dots

Steampunk Hello for Dies R Us

Hi there, today I created a rainbowish background with Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks and Tim Holtz Yupo Paper.  I had so much fun playing with the inks.  I used a straw to blow around the inks.  I let most of the alcohol dry then burnished some scrap foil over the piece.
Foil stays on the wet area usually where the ink puddles.

I used metallic paper to die cut the steampunk butterfly and gears.  I added various gems to the center of the gears.  You can really see the burnished foil in this photo.

I used a double stitched rectangle die to create a frame from black glossy card stock for a real pop.

Cricut Simple Pop Up Cards-What's Kraken?

Good morning and welcome to the Bitten by the Bug 2's Under the Sea challenge.  I used the Cricut Pop Up Cards What's Kracken?  card to comply with the theme.  This project used the score tool and a pen in addition to the basic cutting blade.

I found an assembly video HERE that helped a bit with placement of the tentacles.  She also suggested using the negatives for decoration on the front of the card which I did but forgot to take a photo.

Ingredients:
Cricut Simple Pop Up image
Bazzill card stock

Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante with Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge

Hi there, it's that time again, my turn on the Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge.  I have used some old Graphic 45 papers for this one.  The longer panels are actually from a punch out/embellishment page. So I punched out the inside images, inked the edges and put them back using pop dots.

Here's the sketch:

Here's another view you can see the popped up images and the embossed sentiment better.

Ingredients:
Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutant papers
Graphic 45 Le Cirque stamps 2 from 2017
Brillance Rocket Red ink
Wow Red embossing powder
7 gypsies paper
misc card stock
pop dots

Miss Kate Cuttables Hiking scrapbook layouts for Bitten by the Bug 2's Great Outdoors challenge

Hi there, I have several scrapbook pages as inspiration for the latest Bitten by the Bug 2's Great Outdoor challenge.  I used Miss Kate Cuttables and Cricut Outdoor Man images for all the layouts.  All of the photos are from a 2020 trip to Connecticut.

The background paper for the first two pages are Little Yellow Bicycle Fern & Forest.  The other side is a bold pattern of ferns but this side is a very subtle tan chevron striped patterned.  I purchased a 20 count pack of it and I am getting low, it has proven so useful.  The title is from Miss Kate Cuttables and the leaves are from Cricut Outdoor Man.  The journal spot is a manual die cut.

The sign is from Outdoor Man.

The hiking book border is MKC.

The title of this page is from Outdoor Man.  I used Bazzill card stock. The background paper has a slight hiking boot design.  I believe it is from Reminisce.

The last page uses Storytellers Club designer paper, gosh this goes back at least 10 years.

Ingredients:
Miss Kate Cuttables hiking and border cuts
Cricut Outdoor Man image cuts
Little Yellow Bicycle Fern & Forest papers
misc Bazzill card stock mostly gemstone variety
metallic card stock
Storytellers Club designer paper
misc papers
