My family doesn't go out to the movies very often, but I do love to watch a good movie.  My husband makes fun of all the old black and white movies I watch, asking why I like all those TCM movies.  My love of old movies began when I grew up outside of Atlanta watching TBS, basically these same old movies on the weekend.  My favorite was always Some like it hot.  I actually own it so I can see it any time.

To create my layout I took the following steps:

  • Ink edges of all pieces to start as as you go along
  • Layer Movie acetate over 12x12 white card stock
  • Cut Starring Role paper into strips, I cut the film roll and the starring role strips, also a tiny strip of film roll numbers for vertical layer
  • Fussy cut stars from Starring Role paper
  • Layer photo on white card stock with 1/8" border
  • Cut 10" white strip to layer behind photo and use as journal strip
  • Place strip of black bling along bottom of film strip paper across top of page
  • Pierce holes for fancy brads
  • Scatter multiple sizes of clear bling to highlight photo and star cluser

Here's a photo of my cluster:

A close up of my journaling.

Ingredients:
Momento It's Showtime Starring Role paper and Movie Acetate
Karen Foster fancy brads
Recollections bling
white card stock and black pen

Be sure to hop over to Cathie!

Here's our line up in case you get lost along the way.

I used the Sept 1 Sketch from Sketches in Thyme which I rotated.

I would also like to enter it in the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by today!
