I noticed this Graphic 45 challenge to make a Thank you card this afternoon. I used the On the Boardwalk Collection papers Coney Island and By the Beautiful Sea. I used an Autumn Leaves Stampology Greetings "thanks", I love having 3 layers of stamping! I used Colorbox inks black to edge, amber, topaz and terra cotta to stamp the image. I used Recollections lace on a roll from Michael's (already has adhesive-yeah!). I used a Creative Memories corner rounder for the edges, buttons, floss, and ivory cardstock.
Welcome to my blog! I am currently focusing on paper crafts but I don't limit my blog. You may see cards, scrapbook layouts, jewelry, photography and mixed media projects. I hope you are inspired by what you see here and you are welcome share but please give credit to any ideas you may borrow. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your visit.

"Vintage Gears" Steampunk using Creative Memories Border Maker System
Here is a close up of the border I made with the Creative Memories Border Maker System and the Scallop cartridge. I have used gears by Tim Holtz and brads from Hobby Lobby. Chalked the edges. I used a lot of cat's eyes.
A view of both pages using Vintage Gears paper by GCD and Donna Salazar from the Antiquities collection. I have also used pieces from the die cut sheet in the collection. I added pink cardstock and edged the mat with the scallop cartridge as well.
The lace ribbon is from Hobby Lobby in the sewing section not the scrapbooking section. It is a much large spool and better deal in notions.

Antiquities Layouts Steampunk Travels & Butterflies
I didn't due much for this little layout but I am sure I will fill it with pictures. I used the Donna Salazar Antiquities collection. This is the front and back of Harmony. I have used mats from the die cut sheet in this collection. On page one I used tissue tape from Hobby Lobby with miscellaneous flowers and Want to Scrap bling. On page two I have used Tim Holtz butterfly tissue paper and another flower and bling.
This paper is Tales of Travel. I created mats out of white cardstock for this set and used some metal tab travel embellishments.

"Imagine" steampunk GDC layout
Here I used glossy accents to highlight the worded blurbs to make them "pop" more. The flower embellishments are petaloo. Most of the gears are Tim Holtz but some of the hardware is Hobby Lobby brand.
The paper is Steampunk Gentleman by Donna Salazar and GCD Studios. I have used pieces from the die cut sheets in the Antiquities collection.

"Music" Steampunk GDC/ Donna Salazar/ Cricut
I started with GCD studios paper from a Donna Salazar line, "Antiquities". The paper is the front and back of Let's Ride. I also used some die cut pieces from the collection as mats and embellishments. I used the Cricut cartridge Quarter Note to make the "music" title. I added some flowers by Petaloo and ribbon (Hobby Lobby). I always chalk all my edges.

Stampin' Up Christmas Cards
I made these cards a few years ago. I absolutely love the felt snowflakes from Stampin Up! I first purchased the punch and stamp set. I also love the ease of this combination. I have several Stampin Up punch/stamp combos and Purple Daisy. I found the ribbon that matched so well! I think it was Die cuts with a view. I do know it wasn't Stampin Up!

Frida Cards
These are a couple of designs from a few years ago. I was very into heat embossing. I was reminded of these cards because I used some heat embossing on my latest xmas cards. Lately, I really enjoy embossing folders which I used on the same cards. They are almost finished and I will post them soon but in the meantime, I will reminisce about these cool cards I made a while ago!
I have never found a very good adhesive for vellum, although the latest Creative Memories tape runner is really good. As I said these cards are old and I was still experimenting. Aren't really always experimenting? Anyway, I would now use the CM tape runner for such a project. It is not perfect, but really disappears nicely under vellum.
