Halloween layout for Sketches in Thyme

Welcome!  I have created more spooky crafts. Today I am posting for Sketches in Thyme Facebook Challenge Group.  I found this very old Rusty Pickle paper that perfectly complimented my photos from a Halloween concert.

Here is this week's sketch. Play along HERE.

I also used another old product, some Magic Mesh.  I do appreciate the look sometimes.

I used several die cuts.  I layered some coordinating papers and made a mini file folder.  I die cut a tag and circles.  I added stickers and brads to the die cuts.

Ingredients:
Rusty Pickle papers
Creative Memories sticker letters
Divinity Designs Pierced Circle dies
Recollections Glitter embellishments
We R Tape It kit tag die
Memorydex Mini File Folder dies

Hello, open if you dare is the sentiment of the day!  I am using this week's sketch from Atlantic Hearts Challenge.  I used my nesting coffin dies for the first time with this card. I stamped and embossed the sentiment on the black die cut coffin.  I also cut the ghosts and spiderwebs.

Here is this week's sketch.

Gorjuss Witch card with Creative Memories papers

Today's October post is a cute blonde witch.  I sent this one to a blonde friend of mine for Halloween. I hope she thinks it's a sweet as I do.

I die cut several of the pieces in white and colored them with alcohol markers and distress inks. Other pieces I used printed papers like the dress.  I loved it with three black gems as buttons.

Another view. The banner was a die cut embellishment from the Creative Memories Hocus Pocus paper pack.  I still have one lots of pieces left and one unopened pack!

Ingredients:
Gorjuss "The Hour" Witch dies
Creative Memories Hocus Pocus 6x6 paper pack with embellishments
Alcohol markers:
Distress inks: Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilzed Amber

Halloween layout: My Favorite Holiday for Lasting Memories as Guest Designer

Welcome to my second week as guest designer at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog.  This week's challenge #758 is scrapping your favorite holiday.  My favorite holiday is Halloween.  It's always a fun holiday! This particular Halloween we traveled to New Orleans for a concert.

Here is page one.  I began with a kit from way back...for years I belonged to The Storytellers Club.  They really had some great kits.  Long ago I separated the card stock and kits by theme.  I found this one in my Halloween papers.

I found a Pinterest sketch to use for page one.

I love this green shimmer paper.  I still have a few more sheets but I am getting low after years.  I purchased a 25 count pack at Tuesday Morning.  My purchase has outlived the store!  I used Creative Memories sticker letters.  I keep chipping away at my stash.

For the title I used my Cricut and a rock n roll font with skulls and cross bones. I layered scraps of the green shimmer paper behind the cut outs.

I used a sheet of Halloween circle stickers and layered them on a Tim Holtz Sizzix die cut.  I think the bat is from a Recollections collection but I could be mistaken.

The second page continues the title and more of my circle embellishments.

I found another sketch with four or more photos on Pinterest.  You can find this one HERE.  I loved all the action shots of this song and wanted to include a lot of images, therefore, I printed them small.

The Storytellers Club kits always included several pages of die cut embellishments to punch out.  I thought these brackets were adorable!  I had to use them.  The border with glitter words is a different brand but coordinates well.

A close up of one of the clusters using my circle embellishment and echo park brads.

Ingredients:
The Storytellers Club October 2009 kit
ANC Crestwood Grass Green Shimmer and Plum adhesive backed paper
Creative Memories mini sticker letters
Cricut Rock Star font
Tim Holtz Sizzix Stitched Circles
Echo Park Decorative brads Arsenic & Lace
Creative Memories circle cutting system
Halloween border (K & Co?)
dimensional bat stickers and other stickers
black card stock

Gorjuss Witch card with Creative Memories Hocus Pocus papers

Welcome to October!  It's my favorite month of the year.  I was so excited to use my "new to me" witch dies. I purchased these second hand with no packaging.  Therefore, I just did my best with google to identify them.  I recognize the "gorjuss" look.  I used a combination of card stock and alcohol markers on white cardstock to create her.

Here is the sketch I used from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I created the moon from two Spellbinders nesting circle dies and some Distress ink.  I free handed the flag.

Ingredients:
Gorjuss "The Hour" Witch dies
Creative Memories Hocus Pocus 6x6 papers
Alcohol markers:
Copic Neutral Gray N4 and N6
Copic E02 and another flesh I didn't record info
Distress inks: Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilzed Amber
Spellbinders Nesting Circle dies
various papers and card stock including Bazzill
gems

Tim Holtz 3D Skulls embossing with LED Light Up box

Hello and welcome to today's project.  I created this one for my husband to go in his music room.  I found the LED light box at work.  I thought I could make something cool and I think I did!  It was a simple project with great results.

This a photo without the lights on.

Here's a photo with the original light box and the insert I created.  I began by cutting the transparency to fit the box.  Then I inked up the film.  I used varying shades of blue and black Ranger Alcohol inks. Finally, I embossed the sheet with the Tim Holtz 3D Skulls folder.  The insert was larger than the folder, therefore, I ran the transparency through twice.

Here's another couple of shots of the unlit box. I inked the transparency first so as to not have the inks pool in the dimension after embossing.

Finally, another lit shot of the project.  My husband likes it and that is what matters.

Ingredients:
LED light box
Tim Holtz Sizzix 3D Skulls
Tim Holtz Ranger Alcohol inks
Transparency sheet cut to fit box
