a thousand thanks...Stampin Up and Mind's Eye

Happy Thanksgiving!  Today I am using up some paper and found the most precious cork flowers in my stash that match.  I added golden gems to perfectly compliment the paper collection making a sweet thank you card. If you are a regular reader, you know how much I love to begin with a sketch.

Here's the one I leaned on from Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I turned it and instead of a full circle I used the three cork flowers to create the illusion of a circle around the sentiment.

Ingredients:
My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing Bluebell 6x6 papers
Stampin Up Lots of Thanks set
Graphic 45 Colorbox Bon Voyage Blue ink
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking inks
Cork flowers
gems

90th Birthday layout for Sketches in Thyme

Hello, today I am posting my monthly inspiration for Sketches in Thyme, I am continuing to scrap by grandmother's 90th birthday party.  Here she is about to blow out her candles.  I am so thankful for the 45 years I had with her.  Yes, she was 45 when I was born and I was 45 when she passed.  Our birthdays were close, we were both Capricorns.  I often hear how much I am like my grandmother.

Here is the sketch from Sketches in Thyme

I inked the edges of the cork flowers and used glue dots to adhere a couple of metal embellishments I had in my stash to the center of the flowers.

I only had a few pieces of the paper in this collection, but luckily I had the tag sheet with makes the collection go so much further.  I added some gold fiber to the tag hole.

Ingredients:
Basic Grey Motifica Jade Pattern paper and tag
Coredinations The Chocolate Box card stock
DCWV gold card stock
Creative Memories brown sticker letters
Marvy Border Maker
Kiwi Lane templates: Madison Ave 3A and Clara Lane 2B
Cork flowers
Quick Quotes Amaretto Powderpuff chalking ink
twine and metal embellishments

Photo Play Best of Christmas papers with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and lots of dies

Hello and welcome to the latest inspiration for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I knew I had the perfect dies to begin, the Sue Wilson Shadow Box Wedding die set.  I knew they had appropriately scaled squares and rectangles.  The hardest part was choosing the papers.

Here is the sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge:

A close up of the patterns.  I chose a 6x6 paper xmas paper pad from my stash.  This happens to be Photo Play Best of Christmas 6x6 papers which is a mash up of their plaid xmas and another one.  The snowmen were perfect for the tiny squares.

A side view.  I used Karen Burniston words and red paper from the same paper pad to it matched.  The holly background paper is cut with a Spellbinders rectangle pierced die.

 Ingredients:
Photo Play Best of Christmas 6x6 papers
Sue Wilson Shadow Box Wedding dies
Karen Burniston Word Set 3-Holiday dies
Spellbinders Scored and Pierced Rectangles (largest)
white card stock

Creative Memories Enchanted Power Palette Fun & Games Layout for Bitten by the Bug 2

Hello and welcome to the latest Bitten by the Bug 2's Fun & Games challenge.  I made a scrapbook layout using Cricut Access Chess images and Creative Memories Enchanted papers and stickers.  The photos are from 2018 at a Jamaican resort Jewel Paradise Cove.  The giant chess set was just below our ocean view room.

I used a current sketch at Sketches in Thyme Week Two sketch:

Here is a close up on the title.  I cut the circle with the Creative Memories Cutting System's extra large circle, inside with the green blade.  I free handed the banners using the paper's own design.

I added fallen chess pieces to each banner.  I added the large cut in the bottom corner in place of the second circle.

A close up of the cuts.  In Cricut Design Space I contoured the images to add a solid background.  I like the white on the background but I had to add at least one black piece.  It is much harder to see the detail outline when it is black on black but it's there!

Ingredients:
Cricut Access Chess Images
Creative Memories Enchanted Power Palette
black shimmer paper
white card stock

Our Fairytale...Karen Burniston Castle Pop Up and Kindred Stamps

Hello and welcome to my blog today.  I have created a very special card for my husband to celebrate our anniversary.  I used several different manufacturer's products to create a one of a kind work.  The front of the card shown here is actually the last panel I created.  I took a cue from Karen Burniston and used leftover pieces and parts to lead into the big reveal...

The castle pop up!  The center piece of this project using the Karen Burniston Castle Pop Up die set.  I used We R brand papers Once Upon a Time throughout the project.  I did find a nice red for the brick and roof tiles in my Quick Quotes stash.

I am really in love with the castle pop up.  It was so easy.  The hardest part is choosing the papers.

I used alcohol markers to color my ogre's.

And the final result.

I didn't get a great shot of the clouds but some are fussy cut from the paper and some are die cut from the cloud paper with the cloud dies from the KB die set.

I used the same paper collection for the front.  I used a stencil and shimmer mist to create the stars.  I colored the fairy with alcohol markers with a hint of shimmer and glossy accents for eyeglasses.

Ingredients:
Karen Burniston Castle Pop-Up dies
Kindred Stamps Fairytale Swamp and Swamp Sidekicks stamps
Tim Holtz Hocus Pocus Layering Stencil
Spellbinders Foliage Two dies
We R Once Upon a Time papers
Quick Quotes Main Street paper (red)
twine
alcohol pens and Creative Memories gold metallic pen
shimmer spray and wink of stella pens

Elizabeth Craft Asian Accesories on a Slimline card

Hello and welcome to my latest project.  I used lots of different dies and distress inks with a great collection of papers from DCWV.  I began with a slimline kraft card base.  I added a layer of DCWV Far East paper cut with a Pinkfresh Studios Slim Edgers die.

I cut three circles of same paper collection with stitched circle dies.

I added three different die cut images on each circle from Elizabeth Craft Designs Asian Accessories dies.  I used more DCWV paper for the fan.  I inked white card stock with Distress Antique Linen for the fan hold.

I inked the rest of the die cuts.and pieced them together with a fine tip glue pen.  I purposefully inked the cups in a lighter shade than the teapot.

Ingredients:
Elizabeth Craft Designs Asian Accessories dies
Our Daily Bread Designs Double Stitched Circle dies
Pinkfresh Studios Slim Edgers dies
Distress Oxide inks including Hickory Smoke, Antique Linen and Pumice Stone
DCWV Far East paper stack
