Karen Burniston Feathered Friends for Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Happy Fall Y'all!  I love this sentiment and those of you that follow me know I love to paper piece.  Creating this lil' turkey was so much fun!  I used lots of specialty papers and plenty of inking to shade my little guy.  I made this using the latest sketch from Atlantic Hearts Challenge Sketch #656.

Here is the sketch, it's so universal.

I absolutely love the plaid background paper I used.  I found coordinating papers especially the golden brown mat layer that brings out the same color in the plaid.

Here's a close up of my paper piecing.

Ingredients:
Karen Burniston Feathered Animals die set
Joy's Life stamps It's all Fall Puns stamps
A Muse French Roast ink
Kindred Stamps Dino Dust embossing powder
Spellbinders rectangle dies
paper unknown from my stash
My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Sentiment Strip die

Heartfelt Creations and Picket Fence Studios Slim line card for Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Welcome to November!  I have switched gears from spooky to sweet for this week's Atlantic Hearts Challenge Sketch 354. I went way back and pulled out my Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur stamp and die set. I always thought their products were so pretty and I own quite a bit from being dazzled at scrapbook and paper crafting conventions. Some are still NIP but some I have used quite a few times, this is one of my favorite floral sets although it's been a while.

Play along with this week's sketch HERE.

I stamped and heat embossed the flowers, then inked them up with some Distress Inks. I wiped down the flowers to shine up the embossing after inking up.  Finally, I added a blob of thick liquid glue and sprinkled microbeads over the centers  I say finally, but really the last step is shaping the flowers, you can't get too crazy after adding the centers so I find it pretty easy to shape by hand.  I used some up some old foliage (vellum with white embossing) and created coordinating leaves.

I stamped the sentiment and embossed it.  I die cut it with a tag die.  Layering the flowers and foliage was the fun part.

Ingredients:
Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur and Delightful Daisies Stamps and dies
Versamark ink
Stampendous Pearlustre Moonstone embossing powder
Tim Holtz Distress inks: Weathered Wood, Stormy Sky, Forest Moss and Rustic Wilderness
Spellbinders tag die
Stampin Up Birthday Blossoms stamp sentiment
A Muse French Roast ink
Stamp N Stuff Chocolate Brown embossing powder
Picket Fence Slimline Nested Rectangle dies

Pink Paislee Adventure card for Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge

Welcome to my blog today.  I am using the latest sketch from Atlantic Hearts Challenge Sketch #640.  I found this heart globe die cut in my stash of precut pieces.  I knew exactly where the papers were that I used for this and dug them out to complete the card.  I found a Stampin Up sentiment that worked well with the globe and travel papers.

Here is the SKETCH.

A close up of my globe and sentiment.  I have no idea of the brand of die.  I love it though!  I have used it several times.

Hot off the Press Steampunk and Guest Designing for Lasting Memories

Today is my final installment as guest designer for Lasting Memories Layout challenges.  This week's challenge is to use gold.  I tried to sprinkle several golden pieces into my layout of my bestie, Cyndi.

I dropped a brad in the center of this metal gear embellishment.  I layered it on top of a glitter flourish sticker. The sticker had multiple pieces and I layered gems on top of more of the pieces.

I did the same here adding Stampin Up Opaque Gems to the glitter flourish stickers by Momenta.I tucked a metallic gold doily behind Cyndi's photo.

I also created the gem embellishment.  I used a black die cut piece from my stash.  I found an oval die that fit perfectly behind the gem and on the existing die cut.  I have to remember which oval fits, I will use this combination again.  I cut that oval in a coordinating color and layered the gem and both die cuts.  It still needed something else.  I added some more gems to the ends.  I also distressed the die cuts with gold ink.

Ingredients:
Hot off the Press Steampunk paper pack
Creative Memories paper and card stock
Bo Bunny Et Cetera Brads
Stampin Up Gems
Momenta Black Glitter Flourish stickers
Spellbinders Class Oval Small die
Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz Gadget Gears die cut
Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz Movers and Shapers Styled labels
Creative Memories Sticker letters
Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink
Colorbox Sepia Black
Misc gems, doily and gears

H= Hot off the Press paper, O= Oval gem, T= Tim Holtz die cutsx

Shine Bright with Spellbinders Kaleidoscope Argyle dies for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hello, today's card uses Atlantic Hearts Challenge Sketch 586.  I had fun playing with this die for the first time.  It's always hard to know exactly how all the pieces work together the firs time around.  I think it worked out great.  I wanted a lot of pink. I gave this to my niece for her high school graduation.

Here is the sketch.

Another view of the elevation of the die cut pieces.  I did not use any foam tape, there is just a lot of individual layers.

Ingredients:
Spellbinders Kaleidoscope Argyle dies
