Amazing Alcohol Ink Card

Welcome to my blog today. It's going to be an amazing day!  How can it not be with so many days off to craft! I was so pleased with this alcohol ink background. I wanted to show as much of this gorgeous background as possible. I framed the card with the largest die from the Divinity Designs Double Stitched Rectangles set. I cut the bold sentiment from metallic silver paper using Stamplorations Amazing cutploration die.

While creating the background I smooshed scrap foil on the still drying ink layered on black gloss card stock.  The foil sticks to the still wet puddles where the colors meet.  It is even more striking in person.

National Espresso Day~Cricut Coffee Challenge for Bitten by the Bug 2

Did you know today is National Espresso Day? And time for a new challenge theme Bitten By the Bug 2's Coffee Creations Challenge.  I made a couple of cards using a couple of different cartridges.  My first card uses old Creative Memories paper embossed with coffee cups.  I cut the image using a brown card stock and the same patterned paper collection.

My straw is stamped and die cut from a Stampin Up set.  I used an old clear stamp set for the sentiment and die cut.

My second card stays monochromatic with coffee colors.  I used several different papers including velvet.  I also covered white card stock with washi tape for the patterned pieces.  I cut the adorable die cut sentiment from Stamplorations out of the velvet paper.  

I mounted the Cricut cut on a die cut circle as opposed to a coaster.

I must admit I CASEd this awesome card. Mine doesn't have quite the same beauty.  The cup as a separate element is super neat.

Shine as a lighthouse...Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge

 Today I have my card for the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I went literal with the lighthouse image because I love them so much.  I love nautical themed cards and layouts.  For the primary lighthouse image I stamped and colored.  For the sentiment I stamped and embossed.  

Here's the sketch.

I die cut some Quick Quotes designer papers from a nautical collection to frame my image and sentiment.  I added the seagulls from a Jolee's sticker pack and the anchor from a different sticker pack. The final touch was some brads, the decorative seashell one and a couple to hold on the sentiment.

Cricut Coffee card with Sketch N Scrap

Lately I have been focusing on scrapping but I changed gears this afternoon and made a few cards. I decided to take a sketch and play along with the Coffee Loving Cardmakers 2020 Spring-Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

Let it Snow! Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Welcome to another week's inspiration for the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I was feeling some winter colors rather than traditional Xmas when I created this card.  I found an old collection of coordinating papers that made a beautiful winter card.

Here is this week's sketch:

I looked through my stash of border punches for a scallop edge but then I thought why not I die?  I perused that stash.  I have so much product.  I keep my "inventory" in Evernote, a cloud based note app.  I can search any one of my notebooks or all of them by keywords.  I often consult it while shopping as to not buy duplicates.  I ended up using the Creative Memories border punch with a Marvy cartridge which wasn't scalloped like the sketch but fit very well with the winter blues and purple papers.  The snowflakes showing through are the white base of the card.  I used a die cut sentiment with more coordinating paper and an acetate embellishment to finish off the card.

Sketch N Scrap Aloha Card

Hello, today I have a summery card inspired by a couple of challenges.  I was really groovin on the Give the Crafter a Cookie inspiration.  I stamped and die cut a dozen fruits.  I made three of these pineapples which worked perfect for the Sketch N Scrap card sketch.

Here is a close up of my pineapples.  I used a single die but did two cuts one fully yellow and one partial green.  I trimmed the extra off to fit on the yellow pineapple.  I inked the die cuts to provide even more dimension.  

I used an ink pen to create the dotted line along either side of the yellow dotted blue paper.

My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Blush stack with Sketch N Scrap Sketch #145

Let it Snow! Bitten By the Bug 2 Challenge inspiration

There's a new challenge on the Bitten By the Bug 2 blog today.  And some changes...you can now use any images as long as you use a Cricut cutting machine in your project!  So many more options to choose from, hop on over and play along with us.

I created a mix of electronic and manual die cut images for your inspiration today.  I used the Cricut Holly and Ivy cart for the snow globe.  I highlighted the "snow" with a metallic silver pen.

I also ran a piece of silver metallic card stock through my Big Shot for a neat snowflake emboss.  I used my Spellbinders machine for the thin Stamplorations die sentiment.

What's Brewing? Stamplorations and the Coffee Lovers Winter/Fall blog hop

My final entry in the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop was a blast to create.  I layered and layered and layered Distress Oxide inks until I achieved the background shown.  Then I stamped and colored the Stamplorations petite images.  I punched them out and layered them on an up-cycled ribbon.

Cricut Retro Coffee card using Try Stampin on Tuesday's sketch

Hello, today I have a third entry for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I think all of my projects have been unique and this one is no exception.  I loved this retro coffee pot cut From My Kitchen Cricut cart.  As soon as I saw it I knew I had to cut this out of acetate.  After I cut the pot, I flipped through my 6x6 paper pads and found this paper from Basic Grey.  I just love all the retro vibes!
