Lawn Fawn Out of the World and Beam me Up card set with Galaxy backgrounds

In preparation for my recent art show, I worked with these galaxy backgrounds and my Lawn Fawn space stamp and die sets.  I kind of went wild, coloring planet and little characters.

I sponged the brighter oxide inks first, then I layered black soot on top.  I splattered pearly spray ink on the very top for a super galaxy look.  I went back and added more splatters again and again until I achieved my desired results.  I watched several you tube videos and created all the backgrounds in one day.

While the backgrounds dried (spray ink), I stamped and embossed dozens of images of planets, aliens, astronauts, and space vehicles.

I spent a lot of time coloring the images with alcohol ink pens.  I did use some metallic inks on special places.  I combined all my images on top of the backgrounds to come up with complimentary designs.  Finally I stamped and die cut sentiments for each card.

In addition I would like to note at my recent art show this is the only other design besides the coffee cup gift card holder of which I sold out.  I guess they were a hit!  So time consuming, maybe I should have sold them for more.  I believe the same lady bought them for all her grandchildren.

Ingredients:
Lawn Fawn die and stamp sets:  Out of the World and Beam me up
Tim Holtz Oxide inks:  black soot, worn lipstick, fossilized amber, broken china, and cracked pistachio
Avery Elle Pierced Cloud die
Spellbinders label die
Frantic Stamper stitched rounded rectangle dies

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with Quick Quotes Coffee Gift Card Holders

Good morning and welcome to the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I used this same Karen Burniston die set to create the pop up card earlier in the week.  After I created that one, I wanted to keep playing and came up with die cutting the cup only as a gift card holder.  I made several of these for an art show I was in a couple of weeks ago.  I sold all the individual gift card holders.

I did want to see how one would work on a card and it worked just fine.  To create the holders, I simple cut off the tabs on the bottom and adhered the base together with red line tape for a sturdy hold.

Here are the three card holders alone.  Quick Quotes papers are super thick and sturdy to withstand the movement of the card in and out of the pocket.

Quick Quotes Products used:

Karen Burniston Pop Up Coffee die set
white card stock

Just Popping Up! Quick Quotes Spring Coffee Pop Up card

Hello, Alicia with you today with some coffee inspired creations.   I love using Quick Quotes papers for die cutting.  Whether its an electronic or manual machine, these papers cut perfectly.  This die set was so cute, I had to make more than one card.

The many components of this pop up card work wonderfully with the double sided coordinating Quick Quotes papers.  You can be sure it all matches beautifully.

This coffee cup is also a gift card holder.  It has two tabs cut in the back in to which you can easily slip the gift card.

The entire card open to reveal the pop up.  The mechanism relies on two tabs nestled behind the napkin.

My second card is much the same.  I used the striped piece of Spring Showers Paper.  I also continued to use the the blue and white woodgrain papers in the scallop die cut shape.

The Edge of the Sea...Quick Quotes Navigator layout

Alicia blogging today with a layout from my January vacation.  I love watery vacations!  Navigator papers are perfect for documenting my experience.  I used several leftover die cuts from the April Club Q layouts.  I also used several pieces from Navigator 500 Quotes and Phrases.  I inked all edges generously with Powderpuff Chalking inks.

I used my Canon PIXMA iP8720 Wireless Printer to print just the right pictures to scrap. In this area of the resort the waves crash against rocks and make for quite a splash zone. I took dozens of pictures to try and capture the perfect spray of water.  Do you remember long, long ago when you had to wait until you printed the entire roll of film to even determine if you captured good pictures?  We have come a long way and it is so easy to print off just the perfect pictures at home with fantastic quality.

I finished off my layout with some netting and seashells.  I used pop dots to bring the quote pieces up off the page and over the fiber.  It is a little bulky and I don't scrap every page like this but it just finished off this layout so beautifully.

Quick Quotes Products:
Navigator papers:  102, 103, and 105
Powderpuff chalking inks:  BermudaSandy Shore, and Tropical Punch

Quick Quotes Mother's Day cards

Hi, Alicia with you today using the latest Quick Quotes papers Secret Garden. These new papers are part of  May Club Q, otherwise the paper pack will be available soon in the Quick Quotes store.  I created some sweet Mother's Day cards using the new papers with Powderpuff Chalking inks and a water brush to water color the nesting doll images.

Here's a close look at my watercolor handiwork.  I stamped the image with pigment ink and heat embossed so the image would not be compromised by all the water.  The raised image also keeps the inks from bleeding as much.

I find the Powderpuff Chalking inks stamp a great sentiment when I use my stamping tool.  I always stamp three times for perfect coverage.

The second card is using the same papers and techniques, I simply chose another sentiment and colored my dolls differently.  This ribbon matches the blue flowers in this pattern from Secret Garden 100 paper.
