The Paper Loft May Sketch Challenge

Today I have used The Paper Loft's May sketch challenge :

I turned it to suit my pictures.  I used the new Gear Head and Great Outdoors papers with some Island Sun pieces thrown in the flowers that I made with a Sizzix die.

I chalked the edges and put bling or a neat brad in the center of each one!

I found the vellum sentiments in my stash, not sure where they are from...

Sketch N Scrap Christmas layout #2

Here's another Sketch N Scrap sketch using the Heidi Swapp Winterfresh collection.  I only have one more piece of paper in this collection and a few more glossy and clear accents. I also added some Echo Park This & That brads.

Here's the sketch I used:

I used two Sketch N Scrap sketches to create this two page spread:

Sketch N Scrap Christmas layout

I have been finalizing my 2011 albums.  I am working on Christmas.  For this layout I used one of the Sketch N Scrap layout sketch and Heidi Swapp Winterfresh kit.  I used the glossy accents and clear accents layered for a real "pop".

As you can see I turned the sketch on it's side.

I also threw in some Echo Park this and that brads!

Soccer Seasons Over...

Soccer Season is over...and I need to make a couple of thank you's for the coaches.

I used up some really old scraps of Creative Memories Everyday collection.  These were literally scraps.  I had no pieces bigger than 4x6!  I used some old Primary soccer stickers, too!  New items include The Paper Studio bling, Hampton Arts soccer clear stamps, Versacolor Royal blue ink and 7 Gypsies paper tape.

The second card everything is "cut" instead of torn.

Wednesday Winner!!!

The winner of the Moma Mia Blog Hop is Angela C!!!  Congratulations Angela!  You are going to love these inks!! I took these to my crop this past weekend and they provided a lot of colors in a small space but not chalk, juicy pigment ink!  Please email me at goldengoddessdesigns at gmail with you address so I can ship them to you!
I have several other prize packages to giveaway this month so see my Two Year Blog Anniversary page to get the details!

I was also a winner this past weekend at the Duveneck Memorial Art Show in Covington, KY.  I won second place in graphics!  Not for this card in the picture but my entire body of paper work (mostly cards).  I do try to combine some paper and jewelry like the Alice in Wonderland pendants  I posted last week.  Last year I won third in Fine Arts for my jewelry.  It is only a small show on the river overlooking downtown Cincinnati featuring 60 artists.  But here are some other works found at the show:

This piece was called Aging Green Man and my picture does not do it justice!

This guy was named Christian (so sorry I forgot his last name) but he won the Amos Shinkle award and the Vox Populi award.  This painting was awesome!  As you can see I had some stiff competition.
Thanks very much for reading today and check out my giveaways this month!!

Here is my precious mother!  Neither of us like our picture taken so my wedding day was a rare occasion where we both look good, so I love this picture and my wonderful sister was the photographer.
I feel so lucky to still have my mom around!

Here's the awesome gift I made my mother.  She loves vintage and re-purposed anything.  I think she will love this altered altoid's tin.

I used a very old Stampin Up set "Days gone by".  I think the lace is also from Stampin Up, the knob is, I believe Tim Holtz Ideaology as are several of the items.  Some are from The Paper Studio line of embellishments.  The quote and mirror stamp are from Hampton Arts.

The background paper is Graphic 45 with some 7 Gypsies paper tape and apothecary labels.

I wrapped some floss around the spool.

I also have my own blog candy today:

One lucky comment-er who is also a follower will win this chosen from all the eligible participants via random.org .  I also have a question for you to answer in your comment:  What is your favorite "mom" memory either of your mom or you being a mom.  This is part of my month long May blog anniversary giveaways, see the giveaway page for details. Thank you for hopping today!

 Up next is  Pam
