Welcome to November! I have switched gears from spooky to sweet for this week's Atlantic Hearts Challenge Sketch 354. I went way back and pulled our Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur stamp and die set. I always thought their products were so pretty and I own quite a bit from being dazzled at scrapbook and paper crafting conventions. Some are NIP but some I have used quite a few times, this is one of my favorite floral sets.
Play along with this week's sketch HERE.
I stamped and heat embossed the flowers, then inked them up with some Distress Inks. I wiped down the flowers to shine up the embossing after inking up. Finally, I added a blob of thick liquid glue and sprinkled microbeads over the centers I say finally, but really the last step is shaping the flowers, you can't get too crazy after adding the centers so I find it pretty easy to shape by hand. I used some up some old foliage (vellum with white embossing) and created coordinating leaves.
I stamped the sentiment and embossed it. I die cut it with a tag die. Layering the flowers and foliage was the fun part.
