Creative Memories Reminisce Wedding Layout

Creative Memories Reminisce Wedding layout.  This page is actually the first of a two page layout.  I posted page two HERE.  All the papers, stickers and flowers are from the CM Reminisce collection. I added a few gems, brads and a Tim Holtz charm to the layout.  My husband would have preferred Slayer paper but I just don't have that in my stash.

I used this challenge over on the Scraproom Facebook Group page.  Of course, my husband is one of my favorite things and MUSIC.

Here's a close up of the Tim Holtz charm.

Sending you Prickly Hugs with Atlantic Hearts Challenge sketch

Hello and welcome to this week's Atlantic Hearts Challenge sketch inspiration.  I was playing with the Close to My Heart Stuck on You stamp set and plenty of stitched dies.  I came up with this card.  I was playing around with some cacti themed washi I had in my stash.  I die cut the washi panel.  I used the same die to cut the sentiment.

Here is this week's Atlantic Hearts Challenge sketch:

Here is a close up of my cacti.  I stamped in Midnight Muse on green card stock.  I used the same green card stock as a mat.

Bonsai in Art Nouveau Lotus pot for Bitten By the Bug 2 Anything Goes Challenge

Hello, today I am making my debut with Bitten By the Bug 2 design team.   I decided to mix up some carts for a fairly intricate card.  I just love it when all the little pieces cooperate.

I used the Art Nouveau cartridge for this lovely water lily bowl.  I thought it looked like a fine planter for a couple of Bonsai trees from the Pagoda cart.

All the papers are from DCWV Far East stack but the dark brown tree trunks.  It really added to the overall Asian feel of the card.  I inked all the edges generously with Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking inks.

Ingredients:
Cricut carts:  Pagoda and Art Nouveau
DCWV Far East papers
Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking inks:  Dusty Rose, Green with Envy, Midnight Confessions and Vanilla Cream

Don't forget to play along at Bitten By the Bug 2 this week where the theme is Anything Goes!

Trendy Leaves Card with Quick Quotes

Hello, Alicia here and I have some fall inspiration for you today.  I picked Harmony 101 paper for a background.  I created several ombre stamped leaves and spread across the brick background I cut just a quarter inch smaller than the A2 card.  I inked the edges of all the pieces with Warm Gray Powderpuff Chalking ink.

Creating the leaves was super fun.  I began with the lightest color of ink Lemon Sorbet and stamped randomly on the clear stamps using my stamping platform.  I graduated the colors lightest to darkest among the four stamps which I stamped multiple times before die cutting.

I stamped my sentiment in Barn Board Powderpuff Chalking ink using my MISTI.  I stamped three times to insure a solid image.  My final step was sprinkling sequins among the leaves.

Creative Memories Wedding layout

Good morning!  I am so close to finishing my wedding album.  Here is a layout I completed this week.  I just happened to have this picture printed twice in different sizes so when I saw the sketch I knew I would use it plus it is a favorite pic!

Here's the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy:

I die cut the title from coordinating papers.  I used the Reminisce sticker letter ampersand.

I used Recollection gems in the center of the Creative Memories paper flowers.  The frame and sticker word are also from the collection.  I created a background from scrap paper for the frame then added the sticker.

I love these photos.  The groom's cake was a total surprise for my husband. He loved it.

Ingredients:

DCWV Birds & Butterflies Z fold card

Good morning, today I am playing around with a Z fold.  I started with a pretty yellow shimmer base and added pieces from the DCWV stack Birds & Butterflies.

I attached a spray of flowers with brads.

I created a pocket on the back panel and filled it with punched tags.  I sprinkled more flowers and bling.

I fussy cut a bird and used pop dots to adhere.

For the pocket, I cut a square and used red lined tape as adhesive on three sides.

A view from the top.

Ingredients:
DCWV Birds & Butterflies stack
flowers and brads
Stampin Up sentimen
Twine and Fiber
Tag punch
bling and pop dots

Announcement! New Design Team

Good news to announce today, I am on a new design team Bitten By the Bug 2.  I can't wait to bring you Cricut inspiration every other Monday.  I thought I would share some of my favorite projects today in celebration of the announcement.

I made this piece for my husband's man cave.  I have used my Rock Princess cart so many times since we love music and going to concerts.  If you would want more details here is the original post.

Here is another using Rock Princess, you can see the original post for more specifics.

I loved creating Mr & Mrs Claus for a blog hop back in December using A Quilted Christmas.

I made another very different Xmas Card with Jolly Holidays cart.

And these patriotic cards.

Thanks for reminiscing with me and I can't wait to create a whole bunch of new projects for you with Bitten By The Bug 2.

Rainbow World Back to School card

Hello,  I whipped up this cute card with some inspiration from various challenges.  I really liked the rainbows at The Card Concept and the sketch from Tuesday Morning.  I also took inspiration from some fall and apple challenges.

The apple is two layers and I used a red dot pattern for the top layer and a golden red printed layer for the bottom.  All the papers are retired Quick Quotes collections.  The stickers are old Creative Memories.  I love putting a new spin on old products.

Ingredients:
Cricut cut from Autumn Celebration
Stickers and bling from Creative Memories
Paper from Quick Quotes
Chalking ink from Quick Quotes

Generations of Love Blog Hop

This is a blog hop featuring projects inspired by our family tree and our Grandparents in honor of National Grandparents Day.
National Grandparents Day is Sunday, September 9th.
This is a weekend hop, but you have until Monday at midnight to finish hopping.
Lorby's World is the blog to start at and she is offering a special prize to one lucky person. All you have to do is hop through all the participants in the blog hop and leave a comment on each of the their blogs. Lorby's World will pick a winner to be announced on Wednesday, September 12th.
Welcome! You should have come from Cindy's Blog

For today's hop I created a couple of digital layouts.  It has been a while since I played with digital.  I used Artisan formerly Creative Memories software, therefore the kit I used was Creative Memories Gratitude.  I also used blueprints to start with I did change them up and copied elements to both layouts for continuity.

The first one is my great grandmother, Bertha Lee Hooper.  She lived to be 104.  She got to meet my son before she passed, her second great!  The first photo has my grandmother as a child.  The second photo has two of my great grandmothers.  The third is my great grandfather and great grandmother's celebrating someone's 84th.

This layout is is my mother's mother.  She passed away before I was born so I never knew her.  The top left photo is my grandparent's wedding day.  The bottom left has my mother as a child with all her brothers. I feel lucky to have these photos.  I have scanned them all for my family to share.

Little Fishes layout with Quick Quotes

Hello, Alicia with you today using my adorable nephew as my subject matter again.  I swipe these photos from Facebook because my child is grown and the little ones are so much more fun to scrap!  My nephew has taken swimming lessons for quite a while already.  He is a fantastic swimmer.  I used up my last bits of the fish paper and fussy cut the last few fish to accent this watery layout.  I added iridescent clear sequins as bubbles.

Here is a close up of my layers inked generously with Deep Sea Powderpuff chalking ink.  I have always loved to ink my edges.  You can change the mood of your project so easily with a light, dark or in between inking, a clean and close edge or heavily distressed. Here I choose a dark and slightly messy inking to convey the varying edges of waves.

And I just have to share a close up of this sweet face!  You can also see I inked the edges of the die cut title heavily.  My favorite embellishment right now are sequins, you can also see my "bubble" sequins in this shot.
