Graphic 45: My Favorite Brand for Lasting Memories Challenge as Guest Designer

Welcome to my next installment of my guest designer spot at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge.  This week's challenge is to use your favorite brand.  I found this to be a true challenge, there are so many brands that I love.  However, I would say I fell in love with Graphic 45 when I saw them at Megameet in Michigan.  I have been a fan ever since.  I hoard this paper, but I am trying to use it up!

Graphic 45 Artisan Style lent itself very nicely to the photos of this gorgeous building in Chicago.  I created a faux stained glass window with die cuts.  I also used it as my journal spot.

Ingredients:
Graphic 45 Artisan Style  and Decorative Flourish papers and stamps #1
Creative Expressions (Sue Wilson) Frames & Tags Cecilia dies
Creative Memories Custom Cutting System
The Paper Company Peach Shimmer card stock

Jillibean Soup Unicorn card with Sketch N Scrap

I hope your day is all Rainbows and Unicorns!  What a fun card, I was in a whimsical mood when I found this paper stack on top of my 6x6 stack.  I recently purchased it at a thrift store.  I say good score!  It only had one piece of paper missing and cost 75 cents!  I searched Evernote and found all my unicorn images. I landed on this Jillibean Soup coordinating set and stamped and embossed it in Sparkling Sky blue. I layered it on some pastel blue glossy paper. Finally, I layered it on some glittered papers resulting in sparkle and shine and sparkle again!

Here is the sketch I used from Sketch N Scrap.

Here's a side view.  I popped up the unicorn and only one of the clouds to create depth.  The stamps had coordinating dies which is why I purchased this set second hand from my favorite creative reuse store Indigo Hippo.  They are in the middle of their summer fundraiser if you'd like to help. They use these funds to give all sorts of artists the ability to access affordable art supplies.  They do a lot of work with children including providing free school supplies.

Favorite Embellishments for Lasting Memories Challenge as Guest Designer

It's Sunday and time for my July guest designer post for Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenges.  This week's challenge is to use your favorite embellishment.  My favorite is gems/dots/pearls. I threw in a lot of buttons on this sketch but the smaller pearls are really my go to for any layout or card.

I used the July 1 sketch from Sketch N Scrap. I turned the sketch to accommodate my photo orientation.  It really allowed me to highlight my favorite embellishments.

Here is a close up of the embellishments.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Rugged Power Palette
Crafter's Square blue pearls
misc buttons and beads

Halloween layout: My Favorite Holiday for Lasting Memories as Guest Designer

Welcome to my second week as guest designer at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog.  This week's challenge #758 is scrapping your favorite holiday.  My favorite holiday is Halloween.  It's always a fun holiday! This particular Halloween we traveled to New Orleans for a concert.

Here is page one.  I began with a kit from way back...for years I belonged to The Storytellers Club.  They really had some great kits.  Long ago I separated the card stock and kits by theme.  I found this one in my Halloween papers.

I found a Pinterest sketch to use for page one.

I love this green shimmer paper.  I still have a few more sheets but I am getting low after years.  I purchased a 25 count pack at Tuesday Morning.  My purchase has outlived the store!  I used Creative Memories sticker letters.  I keep chipping away at my stash.

For the title I used my Cricut and a rock n roll font with skulls and cross bones. I layered scraps of the green shimmer paper behind the cut outs.

I used a sheet of Halloween circle stickers and layered them on a Tim Holtz Sizzix die cut.  I think the bat is from a Recollections collection but I could be mistaken.

The second page continues the title and more of my circle embellishments.

I found another sketch with four or more photos on Pinterest.  You can find this one HERE.  I loved all the action shots of this song and wanted to include a lot of images, therefore, I printed them small.

The Storytellers Club kits always included several pages of die cut embellishments to punch out.  I thought these brackets were adorable!  I had to use them.  The border with glitter words is a different brand but coordinates well.

A close up of one of the clusters using my circle embellishment and echo park brads.

Ingredients:
The Storytellers Club October 2009 kit
ANC Crestwood Grass Green Shimmer and Plum adhesive backed paper
Creative Memories mini sticker letters
Cricut Rock Star font
Tim Holtz Sizzix Stitched Circles
Echo Park Decorative brads Arsenic & Lace
Creative Memories circle cutting system
Halloween border (K & Co?)
dimensional bat stickers and other stickers

You're So Sweet Scrapbook.com Special Fold

You're so sweet to stop by and check out my card today!  I hope you have a great day and enjoy today's card. I spent a lot of time die cutting and designing on this one.  I was very pleased with how it turned out. I primarily used Scrapbook.com product papers, stamps and dies. I used a prefolded card base.

I just adore how the watermelons have hearts for seeds. I also stamped the sentiments and die cut them.  I inked all the edges as it my preference.

I used a Spellbinders label die cut to layer behind the large sentiment.  I was then able to adhere just half so the sentiment remains intact when folded and unfolded.

Ingredients:
Spellbinders Petite labels 1
Stampin Up Word Window punch
Kindred Stamps Sentiment Strip die
UPDATE:  I found the precut base package. The base was the Tri Shutter cards from Our Daily Bread. It came with 2 each of 3 colors. I used both whites.  I will be showing off the second card soon. I still have two ivory and two kraft bases.

Bee Better Soon for Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Happy July! I have a summery get well card today using Atlantic Hearts Challenge Sketch #636.  These photos really don't do the brown hex justice.  It is a lovely paper with tons of gold sparkles inside.  I tried to highlight the gold by layering gold fibers between the curry dotted ribbon.

Here is the sketch.

You can see some of the sparkle from this angle.

This angle really shines!

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Honey Bee stamp and die set
Darcie's Home and Hearth JCS177 sentiment stamp
Stampin Up Close to Cocoa ink
Recollections gems
Stitched hex dies
ribbons
