Lasting Memories November Guest Designer

Good morning, I am so excited to be a guest designer this month at Lasting Memories Layout Challenge blog.  This month's theme is all about recipes.  I loved the challenge of mixing it all together.  I am still working on my wedding album so these will all be of my wedding.  Let's get started with my first layout!

Recipe:
3 patterned papers
background stamping
punched shape
puffy stickers
your own handwriting

I found the puffy sticker the hardest element.  I did find these old Creative Memories stickers that are raised.  My punched shape is the fleur de lis.

I don't often stamp on my layouts but this was fun.  I randomly stamped this image with Distress Oxide Black Soot on the left hand side of the paper.

Ingredients:
Distress Oxide Black Soot ink
Creative Memories Divine power palette including papers, paper ribbon, and stickers
Kiwi Lane Large Bracket template
die cut flower girl
card stock
stickers
Spellbinders label die

Rock til you Drop! Altered Altoid Tin

Good morning!  Today I am showing off another altered Altoid tin.  This one was made for a friend's 40th birthday.  I used Cricut cuts, charms, and some old Rusty Pickle papers.

It's mostly "metal" colors of black and silver, but I wanted to add a pop of color so I asked her favorite...her response Kentucky Blue.

I  used lots of die cuts, maual and electronic.  I added fancy fibers instead of plain ribbon.

When I began to gather the photos of which I printed many, I noticed a reoccurring theme, many of the photos my dear friend is using this hand gesture (she is also sticking out her tongue in most of them as well)...so I went with it and almost all of these pics have her throwing horns.  I have used the Cricut Rock Princess for this image before, so I knew exactly which images I need to bring this mini together.

My dear friend is also a former smoker and Altoids are her replacement addiction.  She actually gave me this tin and about 15 others to make more!

I doubled the inside pages from previous tin's I have completed.  So I kept the inside pretty free from lumpy embellishments.

I also created a custom box for my mini.  I used my Crafters Companion Ultimate scoring tool for the first time.  It was very easy and I will be pulling this out a lot more in the future.

Ingredients:
Cricut Rock Princess cart
Crafter's Companion Ultimate tool
Altoid tin
Rusty Pickle papers
misc papers and card stock
Tim Holtz/Sizzix dies
misc other dies and punches
charms
fibers

Happy Hauntings: Quick Quotes and Canon Halloween cards

Happy Hauntings, Quick Quotes readers, Alicia here today with some quick and easy Halloween cards.  I used my Canon PIXMA iP8720 13x19 Wireless Printer to print out various Halloween images.  I cut them out and layered them with Quick Quotes papers from several different collections.

This first card uses a super creepy stack of skulls I printed and paired with papers from the 49 Shades of Grey collection. I printed many different images on 8.5x11" piece of Canon High Definition paper.  The image details printed so well on this specialty paper.  I printed this particular image twice.  I used the second print to cut out individual skulls and layer them at different levels.

I made a few other cards using printables, papers, stamps, gems, die cuts and ribbons.

I would like to note that this last card was sent to a little boy requesting Halloween cards as he fights a battle with cancer.  If you would like more information, here is a link to his Facebook page.

Oxide Wedded Bliss card set

Hello, I have a set of cards I created for a swap today.  The swap was focused on Distress Oxide inks.  It was quite a popular swap and ended up being two groups.  I participated in both groups.  I had so much fun making this set.

First I used various inks to cover the Judikins background stamp and stamped the specialty distress paper.  I then sprayed ever so slightly with a fine mist of water.  I set aside to dry while I made the sentiment labels.

The next day after everything was completely dry I die cut the background pieces.  I then assembled the cards on a lovely shimmer card stock adding fiber and sequins for an elegant look.  As you can imagine each card was a little different but equally beautiful.

Ingredients:
Distress Oxide inks:  Faded Jeans, Cracked Pistachio, Wilted Violet, Broken China
Tim Holtz die
Judikins stamp
Stampin Up Tag Talk stamp and punch
Cucumber melon shimmer card stock
fiber and sequins

Here are some of the cards I received from the swap:

Toadstool Clippings...Atlantic Heart Challenge sketch inspiration

Good morning, today I have my latest inspiration for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I used several different materials to create the image of a bottle.  I even used a sheet of cork to fussy cut the stopper.

Here's the sketch:

Image may contain: text

I highlighted the ripples of the corrugated paper with chalking ink.  It's hard to discern but I covered white paper with washi tape and punched out the tag shape. That layer is behind the die cut Toadstool label.  In between those two layers is a layer of Martha Stewart spider web ribbon.

Ingredients:
We R label
Martha Stewart spider web ribbon
misc spiders
corrugated paper and cork
washi tape, white card stock and a tag punch
circle punch and Quick Quotes paper

Quick Quotes Save the Date layout

Good morning, Alicia here today, playing along with this month's Quick Quotes challenge:  Use Memorabilia.  I am currently working on my wedding album.  So I have used my save the date postcards and the original pictures I used for the cards to create a two page layout.

Here's my second page.  I found lots of great die cuts from past kits to mix with current paper collections.  I inked up a chipboard label with Antique Linen  and another one using Midnight Confessions PowderPuff Chalking Ink then added a sticker.  I used black brads in the center of all my flowers.  I threw on a few buttons for good measure.
