Stampin Up Snowflake Wishes cards

It's time for Christmas in July!  I used a lot of Stampin Up on this project. It turned out to be a pretty card without any designer paper!  I used lots of techniques including heat embossing, an embossing folder, die cutting and layering embellishments.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Snowflake Wishes stamps, dies, ribbons, gems and papers
Stampin Up Merry Moose stamp sentiment
Stampin Up inks: Blue Brilliant Craft, Misty Moonlight, Pool Party and Not Quite Navy
Stampin Up Winter Snow embossing folder
Judikins Galaxy embossing powder

Let it Snow! Bitten By the Bug 2 Challenge inspiration

There's a new challenge on the Bitten By the Bug 2 blog today.  And some changes...you can now use any images as long as you use a Cricut cutting machine in your project!  So many more options to choose from, hop on over and play along with us.

I created a mix of electronic and manual die cut images for your inspiration today.  I used the Cricut Holly and Ivy cart for the snow globe.  I highlighted the "snow" with a metallic silver pen.

I also ran a piece of silver metallic card stock through my Big Shot for a neat snowflake emboss.  I used my Spellbinders machine for the thin Stamplorations die sentiment.

Ingredients:
Cricut Holly and Ivy cart
Let it Snow Stamplorations die cut
Stampin Up Snowflake embossing folder
Bazzill, metallic, and other card stock
Creative Memories silver metallic pen

Merry Everything tags: Bitten By the Bug 2 Tag Challege

Hello and Happy Christmas Eve...this week at Bitten By the Bug 2 we are creating tags.  The last minute touch to a thoughtful gift.  I created a couple of real cuties.  Obviously, I am having a great time with the Merry Everything cart.  In my history of carts, this one is fairly new.  I believe I purchased it at Tuesday Morning back in May.

I added paper rope from Recollections.  I didn't realize it was paper until I opened the package.  It is very light weight and stiff.

Ingredients:
Cricut cart Merry Everything
misc papers
Quick Quotes Midnight Confessions powderpuff chalking ink

Merry Everything Stand up Snowman

Solstice Greetings!  and Happy Birthday to my niece Briana.

I wanted to create something besides a card and the Merry Everything cart has a few choices.  I liked this snowman.  I thought he would work well with my cottage but the scale was a bit off.  He will be cute just to sit on my desk at work.

Ingredients:

Cricut cart Merry Everything
misc card stock including Creative Memories blue ice shimmer, Bazzill, black shimmer and gold foil

Karen Burniston Winter Greetings

Hello, Alicia on the blog today with some Winter Greetings.  In my area of the country we have not had snow yet but these cards make me look forward to the first white layer to blanket the ground.

I used several specialty papers on my cards including ice blue shimmer cover stock,
arctic shimmer paper, glitter and chalkboard card stock.

I upcycled the lovely fiber I used for the scarf from a plant I received as a Mother's Day gift.  As you may have guessed the plant did not make it and I am usually very good with plants.  The hint of sparkle made the perfect accent to my snowman.

My second card uses a glitter card base.  I then alternated ice blue and glitter card stocks cut with Frantic Stamper Stitched Corner Cut Tags and the circles included with Karen Burniston Pop Up dies.  I added a dash of snowflakes, a die also included in the Snowman Pop Up set.

I decorated the inside background a little bit different in each card.  Now that I have used the Karen Burniston Pop Up dies several times I feel very comfortable experimenting.

Snowglobe card using Cricut access

Good morning, another Cricut card today.  This is most complex of all the cards I made, I used Crazy Cute Cards on Cricut access...love this cart!  I made the cuts for another card from the cart but have not assembled that one, I hope all the cuts came out good enough since my access was for only 72 hours.  I received the free 72 hour access pass inside a cart I recently purchased.  I believe most Cricut lovers should know that they are discontinuing physical carts so many are on sale every where these days.  I purchased some at Tuesday Morning for $12.99 but Cricut has some of the same carts for only $5.99.  I purchased more on Black Friday  weekend, but they have not arrived yet.

I wanted a real alpine feel so I like the blue and silver papers.  I used a shimmer black for the tree trunks and wood features of the building instead of brown to stay "cool".

Love this building and trees!

Let It Snow: Quick Quotes Winter Bliss

Hello, Alicia sharing a sweet winter card with you today.  I used Quick Quotes Winter Bliss collection (again) .  I just love these new papers so much!  They have proven so versatile.

Here are the details of chalking the embossed snowmen.  I lightly swiped the Coconut White PowderPuff Chalking Ink over the piece several times.  You could also use a dauber as an applicator of the ink.  I also inked the edges for a cohesive look.  This technique makes for a simple but stunning effect.

Minc foiled snowflake background for Camp Create Foil Challenge

Print

Here I am again at Camp Create.  I watched all the videos last week, but I had a jam packed weekend with no time to craft.  I had ideas rolling in my head, so I whipped up a couple of cards last night.  This round I am trying to go in order of the badges, we will see if I follow through.  I have the guide below if you want to participate.  But there are only a couple of days left.

That means today's card is foiling! I pulled out my Minc for some foiling fun!  I used a Anna Griffin background that came as part of the HSN auto ship.  I wasn't in too much of a red and green mood, so I went with the wintery purples and silver and a sentiment to match.

I used some of the final scraps of my K & Co Recycled Purples paper pad.  It has been a great small stack!  I think this triple loop bow with the fuzzy fiber really finished off the look.

Ingredients:
Anna Giffin Minc tool and accessories
Colorbok metallic card stock
K & Co recycled purples
Great Impressions sentiment stamp
Versamark ink
Ranger Superfine Silver embossing powder
misc fiber and card stock
Craft Dee Bowz tool
Quick Quotes Plum Crazy
Our Daily Bread Designs stitched rectangle
