CAS Thanks with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Good morning and welcome to this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge inspiration.  I love the simplicity of this week's sketch.  I did want to jazz it up a bit. So I tried an idea I have done a previously but it has been a while.  I stacked three die cuts just slightly offset.  I made the cut from three different papers and card stock for a real pop on top of a textured base.

Here's the sketch for this week:

A close up of my triple layered die.  The bottom layer is a shimmer white, then a turquoise blue card stock and finally the tie dye print paper.  I added a nice resin flower on top of a triple bow made with my Craft Dee Bowz.

Ingredients:
Spellbinders Phrases set one
Quick Quotes Caribbean Blue Powderpuff chalking ink
card stock and paper
satin ribbon
flower

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to play along at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge this week.

Give Thanks Blog Hop

Welcome to the Give Thanks Blog Hop!

Today's hop is sponsored by

Today's hop is full of great projects all about Thanksgiving and being thankful.
So let's get hopping!

I decided to create some monochromatic (orange) thank you cards.
The first card I used "word art".  I gathered up all my "thank you" stamps and placed them on a clear block larger than my background.  This was NOT my first attempt.  I learned some valuable information.  Not all clear stamps are the same depth!  Therefore, several "thank you's" didn't stamp.  After I learned this I took off all the thinner ones and just stamped the thicker ones.  Then I placed the thinner ones in place on the block and took off the thicker ones.  Finally getting my desired look!  I found the centerpiece when I search hexagon cards on Pinterest.

I used 4 colors of orange ink and several hex stamps from both Stampin Up and Close to My Heart stamp sets and my trusty old Creative Memories hex punch.

On the last card I created a window.  I punched the spot where the hex should be then used the same hex (trimming a bit so it would pop through) to stamp the sentiment.  I used pop dots and mounted the sentiment hex on the inside of the card!  Kind of a peek a boo effect.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Pumpkin Pie, Dusty Durango
Distress Spiced Marmalade
Ranger Adirondack Butterscotch
Close to my Heart Honeycomb & Always Grateful
Stampin Up Six Sided Sampler set
Creative Memories hex punch
Spellbinders hex dies
Vanilla card stock
Creative Memories patterned paper
misc ribbon
misc flower

Thank you stamps from:
Hampton Arts Sentiments
Avocado Arts Wishes and Kind Thoughts
CTMH Typed Note, Just to Say and Casual Expressions
TPC Thank You
Avery Elle "Merci"
SU Six Sided Sampler

Water Goddess Card

This is another digital witch image I won from Lunagirls, I believe.  I thought she was just beautiful but not as traditionally witchy as the other cards I made.  I added a lot of elegant embellishments and beautiful papers to accentuate the image.  I love how it turned out.

Ingredients:
Lunagirl image
The Paper House 6x6 paper
fiber
Recollections dots
misc metal embellishments and brads
Craft Dee Bowz tool

C.A.S.E. A Card Blog Hop

Welcome to the

Remember the old kids game, Telephone? You know the one where a secret is told to the first person in line and then they tell what they think they heard to the next person and they tell the next person and so on and so on.  At the end of the line, the person says what they heard and the first person tells what they originally said and laughter erupts because the two things are nothing alike.

Well today's hop plays that game, but with card making instead of secrets.

This hop is un-like any you've probably ever been too.

We took one card created by Theresa from Scraps by gracie and sent it to the next blogger who then C.A.S.E.d the card (copy and steal everything) and sent her card on to the next blogger who C.A.S.E.d it and sent her card to the next blogger.  You get the idea.

When you are done hopping you'll see how different or maybe how similar the last card is to the first.

So let's get hopping.

12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop! Day 10: Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet Explosion Box

Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop Day 10. This hop will take place November 24th through December 5th and the new postings each day will be posted by 8am eastern standard time. This hop will be full of wonderful ideas and inspiration to get you well on your way of creating all of those beautiful Christmas project. This is an awesome way to get a lot of your Christmas cards, and scrapbook layouts finished, home decorations completed and maybe even be inspired to create something using a new technique that you have never tried. There will be a new project posted each and every day by all the wonderful amazing ladies in this hop. Also each day we will have a guest designer or two for you to visit.

You should have arrived from Pam's blog if not you can start at Lisa's blog or the entire line up at the bottom of the page.

Warning there are lots of pictures today!  I spent a lot of time on the project and have been creating this in my mind since late summer when I created my first explosion box.

Triple bow using my Craft dee Bowz tool.

Another perfect bow with Anna Griffin gold satin ribbon.

The center.  I thought about finding a miniature nutcracker so I made it easy to lift up the center sentiment should I find the elusive "perfect" center piece.

It's hard to tell but I used Wink of Stella throughout especially striking is the gold on the Nutcracker's hat and uniform.

I put a little pearl bling in the center of the flourish on each "page".

The ballet shoes are stamped and embossed with Recollections Vintage Pink.

I embossed all the candies with a "sugary" sprinkle!

I used some Stampin Up stamps as well as, coordinating Graphic
45 stamps.

This companion page is a Tim Holtz die cut with a Graphic 45 coordinating stamp embossed with Judikins black detail then colored it and a scalloped circle Spellbinders die cut layer.

This companion page is a Tim Holtz flourish die cut with a Recollections pearl die cut on top.

Amazingly this is not every page!  I do not have the partner page for the ballet shoes page.

And the "page" for this one is Mother Ginger of which I also did not get a good picture.

The final layer.

I hope you were able to stick with me through all those pictures!

Next up is Anna!

Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop Day 5. This hop will take place November 24th through December 5th and the new postings each day will be posted by 8am eastern standard time. This hop will be full of wonderful ideas and inspiration to get you well on your way of creating all of those beautiful Christmas project. You should have arrived from Pam's blog if not you can start at Lisa's blog or the entire line up at the bottom of the page.

Today, I have for you my Kiwi Lane Gingerbread Man!  It took me a few versions before I came up with my favorite one.

Ingredients:
Kiwi Lane: Traditions 6T, Sincerely 3A & 3B
Authentique Believe 6x6 and components
Die Cuts with a view Christmas ribbon
Queen & Co pearls
Ranger enamel accents white
misc satin ribbon & Craft Dee Bowz tool
pop dots

I thought it might be helpful for you to learn from my mistakes.  I used basically the same materials on this one but the lines with the enamel accents are not quite to my liking.

Ingredients:
Kiwi Lane Traditions 6T, Bracket 4T
Stampin Up Stamp and punch Merry Everything
misc brad
and same papers and embellishments as above

Card #3 was really my first experiment.  I was not happy with the Liquid Pearl accents even when I put the pearl eyes on.  I added the lace to give it more vintage feel.

Ingredients:
Kiwi Lane Traditions 6T, Sincerely 3A & 3B
Stampin Up stamp Festival of Trees
Stampin Up punch
Color Box olive ink
Liquid Pearls White opal
lace
same ingredients as above

These 3 cards are projects #7, 8 & 9 with the 6x6 Authentique Believe paper pad

Next up is Anna!
