The Paper Loft May Sketch Challenge with Tim Holtz embellishments

I whipped up this card for The Paper Loft May sketch challenge.  I used Shades of Gray printed paper and card stock.  The word Fate is also from this collection.  I used a Tim Holtz stamp embossed with Recollections Aged Black.  It is so neat, but such a messy embossing powder.  I used Tim Holtz tissue tape and button with a black satin ribbon to hold it on and a glue dot to hold it in place.

Creative Memories Autumn Breeze Digital Layout using Pixels2Pages blueprint

This is another Pixels2Pages blueprint exclusively for the LIVE events.  The lesson here was Collage.  Thank goodness this was a blueprint and I didn't have to cut all those little strips of paper!  I used the Autumn Breeze digital kit from Creative Memories along with an overlay from Boots and Braids Overlays.  Font is Wild West I believe.  All the embellishments and papers are from Autumn Breeze but I played with opacity and filters on some.  My niece featured in this layout just had her 11th birthday!  Happy Birthday Morgan!

Creative Memories Beautiful Day Digital Layout from Pixels2Pages training in Asheville, NC

This is a lovely layout I did with the Pixels2Pages blueprint that was especially for the LIVE training event that I attended Memorial Day weekend in Asheville, NC.  I learned so much!  Photography lessons and digital scrapbooking lessons.  Now I just need to practice some of the techniques I learned.  Expect to see some new digital page layouts!

I used Creative Memories Beautiful Day digital kit.  One of the hardest things I did is barely recognizable, I used a filter on the large paper then I went behind it and placed some photo mats from the kit.  It just gave the paper more of a distressed look and added some subtle color.  On the left I put a peachy color mat under the "erased" portion.  Under the blue in the center I put a green mat.   I sampled the color of the solid mats from the darkest part of the peachy elements.  I practiced with the filters at the P2P LIVE event and I learned how to create the monogram in the center.  I have not played with insert text and I intend to utilize this tool more.  I love Storybook Creator from Creative Memories!!!  It is the best!

Owl cards using Stampin Up Sizzix dies

Here are some cute little cards I made with my 10 year old niece's birthday card in mind.  I used the Stampin Up scalloped circles and top note sizzix dies.  I used Creative Memories circle punches.  I did not have a circle punch as small as her black pupil, so mine is a little bigger.  I used the SU half inch circle punch.  This may call for a trip to find a 1/4" circle punch.  I did search through all my "hole" punches and none were "big" enough for the pupil.

I belong to a great little group of scrapbooking secret sisters.  My Secret Sister sent me this owl since I recognized that I had all the dies to create it, I did but with a girly twist.

Hand painted fairies and dragonflies

I called this the butterfly lady.  This is a larger heavier casting.  She sells for $18.

A set of copper fairies in red with blonde hair.  Necklace is made of many individual links with glass seed beads, cathedral glass and copper.  Notice the star toggle clasp.  Frenchooks hooks are surgical steel with copper accents.  Frenchhooks can be changed to accommodate any allergies or even made into post for those without pierced ears!  Although this set is no longer available a similar set would range $45.  Earrings alone $15.

A set or iris painted dragonflies with copper links of seed beads, czech glass and coppertone beads.  This style of necklace is no longer available but could design something similar.

I have nice choices of color combinations and I sometimes do them again as seen below.  But rarely are two pairs EXACTLY the same!  Large Copper Dragonfly Earrings are $18.

Mother's Day Card

I used a beautiful stamp I purchased at a used stamp sale.  The only markings are handwritten?  I used my Stampin Up watercolor markers to color in the black embossed image.

Pearly bling

Beautiful K & Co flower

Buttons and more K and Company bling

Version 2

Version 3 changed a bit because of the background paper.  Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante

Another stamp, this one from the Stamp-a-way convention.  I love it with the image on the paper.

Playing with Place cards

This is just my playing around with this new die I purchased on clearance.  Sizzix place card with decorative accent.  The fact I used dark purple shimmer paper and gold vellum from Creative Memories makes is beautiful.  I am experimenting for my up coming wedding.  I won't be using place cards for seating but I thought I might could use them in a different way.  We will be making the food, so I can make place cards to identify the food?

I also added some goldtone bling.

A matching set of die cuts, Sizzlits Decorative Accent Set.

More Organizational challenge

look at all the empty containers!  lesson learned do not container-ize!

I am still using my paper stand for cardstock (not paper) and theme paper whose embellishments are in my scraprack style rack and are too small for an iris container.

Ribbons!

Creative Memories Cheerful Lego layouts

I was already playing with these digital layouts and I finished up with illustrating a digital overlay.  I added the brushed corners and sampled the darker blue already in the layout.  I used a Creative Memories Predesigned Page.

This is page two from the same Creative Memories Predesigned Page.  Here I was illustrating stamping with digital.  I designed the Lego blocks at the bottom with the Digital Scrapbooking Experts Block Party Kit and the CM stamping tool.  I stamped the blue blocks with one stamping technique and the green ones with another but both started with the same block.

Cards from Scraps

I purchased a pack of card blanks, scraps and the remainder of a paper pad at a used stamp sale.  Look at the great little cards I made by just adding some buttons, fibers and chalk!  The paper pack was from Fancy Pants:  "it's the little things" designs by Lilli.  Great paper pad for card making.

On this one I used a Close to my Heart stamp.
