Soccer layout with Sketch N Scrap Layout Sketch

I haven't scrapped in a few weeks, I have been working on Holiday cards for the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop.  I have just a few pages to complete for the year 2011.  I saw this sketch at Sketch N Scrap and thought it would work great for a soccer layout I still needed to finish.  I also used up the final papers from a soccer collection.

Here's the Sketch N Scrap layout sketch:

Close up of the title.  I sprayed the white tag with Heidi Swapp Navy spritz.  I also used up some old Creative Memories stickers.

12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop! Day 7: Stampin Up Festival of Trees side step card

Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop Day 7. This hop will take place November 24th through December 5th and the new postings each day will be posted by 8am eastern standard time. This hop will be full of wonderful ideas and inspiration to get you well on your way of creating all of those beautiful Christmas project. This is an awesome way to get a lot of your Christmas cards, and scrapbook layouts finished, home decorations completed and maybe even be inspired to create something using a new technique that you have never tried. There will be a new project posted each and every day by all the wonderful amazing ladies in this hop. Also each day we will have a guest designer or two for you to visit.

You should have arrived from Pam's blog if not you can start at Lisa's blog or the entire line up at the bottom of the page.

I have another side step card for you today.  I am very enamored with the fold!  Today I did not use any patterned paper. I was having a blast playing with my Vanilla Smooch spray and the Stampin Up Festival of Trees set.  As always I made several versions. I made many more than I am even showing you, which one is your favorite?  My son did not like the ones with the "main" house stamped on white cardstock which made the colors brighter.  I kind of like the effect of having the "one" house being "brighter".  What do you think?  I figured these took over an hour a piece, if you get one of these from me, I LOVE you very much!

This angle shows the "cloisonne" tree the best.  I stamped it with a different design and color.  Judikin's cloisonne and malachite embossing powders were great for this project.

I used the Kiwi Lane template to create the layers of snow.

This was my son's favorite because the "main" house is stamped on kraft, therefore not as bright.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Festival of Trees and matching punch
Stampin Up Holiday Home and matching Sizzix dies
American Craft Pine ink with Judikins Malachite embossing powder
Versacolor Cardinal ink with Judikins Cloisonne embossing powder
Mixd Media Black ink with Judikins detail black embossing powder
various markers
Kiwi Lane Sentiments 2A
Vanilla Smooch
Kraft card stock
Fiskars Season's Greetings sentiment
American Crafts Alcohol markers
Creative Memories markers
random pens and markers

You should have arrived from Pam's blog if not you can start at Lisa's blog or the entire line up at the bottom of the page.

Today, I have for you my Kiwi Lane Gingerbread Man!  It took me a few versions before I came up with my favorite one.

Ingredients:
Kiwi Lane: Traditions 6T, Sincerely 3A & 3B
Authentique Believe 6x6 and components
Die Cuts with a view Christmas ribbon
Queen & Co pearls
Ranger enamel accents white
misc satin ribbon & Craft Dee Bowz tool
pop dots

I thought it might be helpful for you to learn from my mistakes.  I used basically the same materials on this one but the lines with the enamel accents are not quite to my liking.

Ingredients:
Kiwi Lane Traditions 6T, Bracket 4T
Stampin Up Stamp and punch Merry Everything
misc brad
and same papers and embellishments as above

Card #3 was really my first experiment.  I was not happy with the Liquid Pearl accents even when I put the pearl eyes on.  I added the lace to give it more vintage feel.

Ingredients:
Kiwi Lane Traditions 6T, Sincerely 3A & 3B
Stampin Up stamp Festival of Trees
Stampin Up punch
Color Box olive ink
Liquid Pearls White opal
lace
same ingredients as above

These 3 cards are projects #7, 8 & 9 with the 6x6 Authentique Believe paper pad

As soon as I saw this sketch over at Sketch N Scrap, I knew I had the perfect paper for it!  I recently purchased this Deja Views Lucky Argyle paper at Tuesday Morning.  I have a son, so I knew I would be able to use it up.

I made several versions, not only with a Christmas theme but a masculine birthday theme.

The Little Yellow Bicycle pins just make the Christmas version.

I really like how I found the label with "winter cream" on the paper and cut it out to show on the card.

Ingredients:
Deja Views Lucky Argyle paper
7 Gypsies Camden Paper
American Crafts 6x6 Merrymint paper
Spellbinders label 4
Stampin Up Merry Everything (xmas)
SU Label Love (birthday)
Colorbox Green ink with Judkins Avocado Twinkle

This card is a modern style.  It is my favorite because I like all styles, I like to try my hand at every style even though I may not succeed.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget the candy list is over at our Hostess Lisa's blog!

The As you like it challenge blog's challenge right now is Modern versus Traditionalist style of Christmas card.  I think I blend both.  Just like I blend a lot of styles.  However, I would classify this card as a Traditional.  The colors and theme are pretty traditional.  Of course, who doesn't like traditional, it is tradition right?  LOL.  I will have a Modern take on on a Christmas card coming up in a few days.  So be on the lookout.  It was a stretch for me whereas this card just flowed.
