Us...sweet layout

I had a few final pages to put together to complete my wedding album by my anniversary.  I did meet the deadline!  I also made a video, if I deem it worthy I will publish it.  This was my favorite final layout to create.  I loved the challenge of White..with one (elephant grey) plus the sketch.

Here is the sketch I used from Stick it Down.

Once I determined which stencil to use create my random background, I picked Cool Gray Powderpuff Chalking ink from Quick Quotes to ink it up.

I layered some wonderful flocked paper that I used on the opposite page.

Ingredients:
Fancy Pants Show Flocked Transparency
Crafter's Workshop Brick stencil
Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking ink Cool Gray
Creative Memories White Sticker letters
Prima flowers and bling
Karen Foster brads
DCWV wedding ribbon
misc twine, bling and embellishments

Daisy Challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2

Welcome to the Bitten By the Bug 2's biweekly Cricut challenge.  This time around our challenge is Daisy/Flowers to celebrate National Daisy Day.

I loved this simple daisy image from Spring Fling so much I cut it 3 times!!  So I made 3 similar but different cards.  I love making a series of cards.

One reason I like this Daisy image was the "write" layer.  It has another extra pop.  I always try to add a extra layer on cut whether it be some bling or glitter.  One little extra really can bring an image to life.  I also inked the edges for dimension.

A close up of the cut.

Here's my Cricut Explore Air writing with the Cricut yellow pen.

Ingredients:
Cricut Spring Fling image
We R Feelin' Groovy 6x6 paper
Kiwi Lane templates including Mini Madison Ave
Graphic 45 Nature's Sketchbook sentiment
Stampin Up Gumball Green ink and card stock
Cricut Candy Corn Med 1.0 pen
yellow card stock and gems

Heartfelt Creations Sunkissed Fluer with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Good morning!  Today I have a pretty Purple Floral card.  I used Heartfelt Creations dies and stamps.  I first created a background panel with Distress inks.  I then stamps, embossed and cut the flowers and dragonflies.  Finally, I colored them with alcohol markers.

Welcome Pineapple card with Quick Quotes

Today I am playing with my new Sizzix Pineapple fold a long die.  I had so much fun playing with this tropical beauty. It took quite a bit of die cutting for all the panels and decoration but well worth it for the finished product.

Here is a view from the front while closed.

On the back you can see I added some The Robyn's Nest Sun Shower Tear Drops acrylic gems.  I won these on a blog or part of a hop some where along the way.  I shared them with some crop buddies back in October when I first got them.  This is the second project on which I have used my winnings.  The first was a canvas for my son.

I used a button on one side and a large heart brad on the other along with floss to create the closure for my card.  I made several of the small layered flowers. It was a great way to use up the pretty printed Quick Quotes paper scraps.

I stamped and die cut a sentiment for the inside.  I then layered that on the oval die that was part of the set.  I sprinkled more gems and added a tiny die cut heart to help keep the oval panel in place.

The back fully extended.  I cut a dozen leaf sections to cover both the front and back sides of the card.  I also fully decorated the back with the matching oval dies.I split the two side panels down the center for an easier fold.

Ingredients:
Sizzix Fold a long Jen Long Pineapple die
Our Daily Bread Designs Stitched circle die
Stampin Up Welcome stamp and Summer Sun ink
Quick Quotes Sonata and Spring Showers papers
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking inks:  Mango Mai Tai, Green with Envy, Desert Sun, Barn Board
large brad, button and floss for closure

At the Beach with Scrap the Boys

Good morning!  I am still working on my nephews album and with this layout I was just kind of winging it, no sketch.  Pretty simple and old school but I was trying to bust out as many as I could before Xmas.

My title did not turn out the way I wanted it.  I recently purchased We R thickers alignment templates at Tuesday Morning.  I have the old Creative Memories sets and have used them so much.  The curves looked nice so I decided to try this one.  It is really my fault, I should have used the small version with the same curves and the would have been more curve to the title.  In this case I used the full 12" wave template and it didn't look as good since my title was so short.  Lesson learned.

Ingredients:
The Storytellers Club kit
Creative Memories Sticker letters
We R Memory Keepers thickers alignment templates

Let it Snow! Bitten By the Bug 2 Challenge inspiration

There's a new challenge on the Bitten By the Bug 2 blog today.  And some changes...you can now use any images as long as you use a Cricut cutting machine in your project!  So many more options to choose from, hop on over and play along with us.

I created a mix of electronic and manual die cut images for your inspiration today.  I used the Cricut Holly and Ivy cart for the snow globe.  I highlighted the "snow" with a metallic silver pen.

I also ran a piece of silver metallic card stock through my Big Shot for a neat snowflake emboss.  I used my Spellbinders machine for the thin Stamplorations die sentiment.

Ingredients:
Cricut Holly and Ivy cart
Let it Snow Stamplorations die cut
Stampin Up Snowflake embossing folder
