Hello, open if you dare is the sentiment of the day!  I am using this week's sketch from Atlantic Hearts Challenge.  I used my nesting coffin dies for the first time with this card. I stamped and embossed the sentiment on the black die cut coffin.  I also cut the ghosts and spiderwebs.

Here is this week's sketch.

Another view where you can see the ghost on pop dots.

A close up of the ghost. Both the paper and dies are from Scrapbook.com and coordinate.

Barks Marvin Masculine Dog card: Grrrrrrrrrr

Hello all!  I have been playing with this new to me stamp set. I purchased it recently at a creative reuse store, Scrap it up. The stamp set from Stampers Anonymous is called Barks Marvin the Crime Solving Dog. I was ecstatic to score such a great set of just a few dollars.  I pulled out some premade backgrounds and started stamping away with this new set.  I created several cards. This was my husband's favorite.

Since it was my husband's favorite, I figured it was the most masculine of the bunch, but they are are truly masculine cards.

My husband did note this image isn't as clear as some of the others which were stamped and embossed with pretty much the same ingredients.  I believe it is the kraft paper. These images were also pretty large.  I put this on a 5x7" card.

Ingredients:
Stampers Anonymous Barks Marvin: The Crime Solving Dog stamps
A muse French Roast ink
Woven Tapestry embossing powder
Tim Holtz Sizzix Harlequin embossing folder
Distress inks a green and a blue on tag
kraft tag
velvet brad
misc card stock and papers including Bazzill

Jillibean Soup Unicorn card with Sketch N Scrap

I hope your day is all Rainbows and Unicorns!  What a fun card, I was in a whimsical mood when I found this paper stack on top of my 6x6 stack.  I recently purchased it at a thrift store.  I say good score!  It only had one piece of paper missing and cost 75 cents!  I searched Evernote and found all my unicorn images. I landed on this Jillibean Soup coordinating set and stamped and embossed it in Sparkling Sky blue. I layered it on some pastel blue glossy paper. Finally, I layered it on some glittered papers resulting in sparkle and shine and sparkle again!

Here is the sketch I used from Sketch N Scrap.

Here's a side view.  I popped up the unicorn and only one of the clouds to create depth.  The stamps had coordinating dies which is why I purchased this set second hand from my favorite creative reuse store Indigo Hippo.  They are in the middle of their summer fundraiser if you'd like to help. They use these funds to give all sorts of artists the ability to access affordable art supplies.  They do a lot of work with children including providing free school supplies.

A close up of my unicorn embossed with some glittery embossing powder.

Ingredients:
Jillibean Soup Large Circle Shaker stamp and die set
Colorbox Aqua and Sweet Melon inks
Stampin Up Grapefruit Grove embossing powder
Sparkle N Sprinkle Sparkling Sky embossing powder

I thought of you today card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

I thought of you today and made this card. I used the latest Atlantic Hearts Challenge sketch. I used some old dies and some newly acquired second hand dies on this card.  I haven't played with the Cheery Lane foliage dies in a while.  The new ones are by Love from Liz.  I purchased them second hand and discovered this company.  They have some neat stuff.

Here is the sketch.

I manipulated the die to raise the flower petals. And inked edges of die cuts and card layers with SU Tip Top Taupe and my new acquisition of blending brushes.  I do like the way they spread the ink.  I will be using them more..

An aerial view.

Kindred Stamps Galactic Desert Sexy Goddess card

Happy Anniversary to my husband, it's been 10 years.  I paid homage to the traditional tenth anniversary gift, tin.  I used the Tim Holtz Foundry embossing folder on some metallic card stock. I think any man of a certain age finds this image of the galactic princess from the epic sci fi story to be a turn on, I paired it with a sentiment that reflected such.

Another view.  It was hard to not get a pink reflection from my phone on the metallic dry embossed piece.  I used embossing powder and heat embossing on the sentiment.

I layered all the pieces in a silver mat.  The printed paper is from the Kindred Stamps Galactic paper stack. I mounted my colored image on pop dots.

It's too late to play along, however, I want to give credit to the card sketch I used from Sketch N Scrap.

Ingredients:
Kindred Stamps Galactic Desert and Sexy Space stamps
Kindred Stamps Galactic 6x6 paper
We R Comstock collection paper: Ginger
Colorbox Cranberry pigment ink
Stampin Up Burgundy embossing powder
Kat Scrappiness Stitched Sentiment Strips die

misc card stock including metallic

Stampin Up Musical card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge

Welcome once again to my inspiration for the latest Atlantic Hearts Challenge sketch.  I began with the idea to create a thank you card for a friend.  I stamped a musical background on an A2 piece of shimmer card stock.  I used a rainbow ombre ink pad and then die cut strips of the stamped image.  I spaced them appropriately on the green mat layered .25" smaller than the A2 card of white card stock.

Here's this week's sketch:

I cut two nesting circle dies and stamped and embossed the sentiment on the white top circle.  I found some music note dies in my stash and added those as embellishments.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Music background stamp
Stampin Up Music From the Heart
Stampin Up Kaleidocolor Celebration ink
Colorbox Mix'd Media Black ink
Judikins Northwoods embossing mix-half detail clear and half detail black
Divinity Designs Double Stitched Circle dies
Kat Scrappiness Stitched Sentiment Strip dies
Spellbinders Love Notes dies
