Creative Memories Vintage Chic and downtown Nashville

Hey there!  Today I have some great pics from downtown Nashville, Tennessee.  I used a pale blue embossed background card stock  in contrast to the vibrant purple accents.  I picked the papers based on the great mural photo in the center.

Here is the sketch I used from a Creative Memories Worldwide Virtual Crop.

I used a Tim Holtz Sizzix dies to create the flowers.  I added pearl center brads to the middle of the layers to hold the entire flower together.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Vintage Chic power palette including die cuts, die cut tape, paper, card stock and photo mats
Spellbinders etched label
Tim Holtz Sizzix flower dies
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking ink
brads

Creative Memories Primary Layout with Arrow and Zig Zag Border Maker Cartridges

The week's challenge over at Lasting Memories challenge blog is a Tool Free for All and this layout certainly has it all.  I used the Creative Memories Custom Cutting system, CM circle punch, CM corner rounder and CM border maker. As far as "forgotten" tools, the corner rounder is definitely one that I don't pull out very often, the border maker and punch are also not used very often but I will admit my CM CCS sits pretty near by and does get touched often.  Now that is a great tool system considering I have purchased the base set over 20 years ago!  I have replaced the blades and broke one template over the years.  I would say that was one great investment!

I used this sketch from the Creative Memories World Wide Virtual Crop.

Here is the first page.  The photo is a unique view of the Ryman.  I used all Creative Memories papers and embellishments from the Primary collection.

I used the arrow and the zig zag border cartridge for these layouts.  I also used the negative arrows to embellish the layout.

I created the little "Tennessee" seal from scrap paper and punches.  I was pretty impressed with myself even though it is a simple emblem.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Primary Power Palette including papers, mats, stickers, paper ribbon buckle and paper ribbons
Creative Memories Border Maker Arrow and Zig Zig cartridges
Creative Memories circle punch, corner rounder and oval cutting system
Creative Memories sticker letters
Heidi Swap metal file tab
misc star punch
Quick Quotes Midnight Confessions Powderpuff Chalking ink

DCVW Guitar Town Scrapbook layout

Hello and welcome to my blog today.  I have made a layout using the Die Cuts With a View Luxe Lodge stack.  I just loved these papers for my photos of our hotel in downtown Nashville.  We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel by Mariott.  It was within walking distance of our visit to the Ryman Auditorium.

I used the Sketch N Scrap NSD sketch.  I loved the barnwood paper so much I cut it at 11x11 and only left 1" of the red pattern base card stock showing.  I used a strip of scrap along the bottom of the top photo.  I used a tiny scrap of horse hair paper for the strip under the title.

I created the title with Creative Memories Sophisticate script font sticker letters using the album/song title by Steve Earle.  I then added the chipboard stickers.  I inked all the edges with chalking ink.  The photo below is from our room of the Ryman Auditorium.

Our gang in the lobby of the hotel and a pretty guitar embellishment.

Ingredients:
DCVW Luxe Lodge stack
Creative Memories sticker letters
Chipboard sticker embellishments

Have a Righteous Day! with The ScrapRoom's Freaky Fast Formula

I just love The ScrapRoom Blog's Freaky Fast Formula's!  I find them so much fun with which to work especially when you have some great double sided papers. I used papers from a ScrapRoom kit.  And if you read yesterday's post of the corresponding page you would know the photo is of vegetarian biscuits, sausage and gravy, yum!

I cut a 2" circle from black to spruce it up I added enamel dots.  I inked all the edges with black chalking ink.

I made a pocket out of the 4x12 piece.  I then adhered the 4x4 piece on the left side. My 4x4 just happened to be the size of a journal panel.  I used the label included in the embellishment pack of the kit to designate the menu.

Ingredients:
The ScrapRoom Single Shot kit:  Fancy Pants Designs Good Fellows
enamel dots included in kit
Quick Quotes Midnight Confessions Powderpuff Chalking ink
orange pen

Creative Memories Vintage Chic in Nashville

I have another page of my recent trip to Nashville.  This layout is outside the Ryman Auditorium.  Here are the husbands posing with a statue of Little Jimmy Dickens.

Here's the sketch I used from Sketch N Scrap.  I rotated the sketch to suit the orientation of my photos.

I have tons of music themed papers but the photos are primarily of downtown Nashville.  I wanted to used papers that would let the charm of Nashville shine.  I chose Creative Memories Vintage Chic Power Palette.  I liked the subtle colors.

I accented the CM product with some beautifully detailed musical layered die cuts from Jolee's.

Even though the letter tiles were distressed I added more with Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking ink and on all the papers and edges to soften and bring a cohesiveness to the page.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Vintage Chic Power palette:  embossed card stock, papers, letters, and tags
Jolee's Steampunk Music Flourish die cut stickers
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking ink Mocha Moma

Creative Memories Vintage Chic and The Ryman

Hi there, I am finally back to scrapping. My printer is having some issues.  I finally broke down and printed at Walgreens.  I have been so spoiled.  I can never get the photos to crop correctly when I send them off.  I choose the digital size instead of 4x6 and that appears to be the best cropping and they still turn out chopped off!  ugh!  I have to get my printer issues resolved soon.  rant over...

The photos I printed were of my recent trip to Nashville.  The first layout is outside the Ryman Auditorium.  Bucket list venue for me.  It was a quick trip, but so satisfying.  I used the muted papers in the Creative Memories Vintage Chic collection. I did throw in some wood grain paper and twine to accent.

Here is the sketch I used from The ScrapRoom blog's.

I used the Stampin Up banner punch and some oldie but goodie Creative Memories music note stickers.  I think these were on a sheet of New Years stickers, maybe wedding or cruise.

I tucked my journaling inside an envelope behind a photo.  I punched a hole in the envelope to string the twine and tie a bow.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Vintage Chic Power Palette including paper, envelope, letter tiles and tags
CM music note stickers
Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking ink Mocha Moma
Stampin Up banner punch
wood grain paper and twine
brown pen
