Grace Potter Xmas Jam Rock Star layout

This is a show I saw back in December and I did NOT take these photos, I am however in both photos on the front row.  I am so enamored with this DCWV stack, I found one partially used at a yard sale and bought it!

Here is the sketch I used from Sketch N Scrap.  This sketch from December 15, 2012.

I used a punch with embossing for the stars and a thin die for the rings.

Ingredients:
DCWV Glam Rock
Generic circle dies

Crafter's Companion with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

It's time for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge inspiration.  I created this pretty card with some pretty paper I purchased on HSN.  I combined the Crafter's Companion paper with Spellbinders' nesting dies.  I was able to get the nesting extra close because I own both the large and small oval sets.  I was so lucky to purchase one set in a used lot on ebay.  I believed I was buying a duplicate but when I received the package the set happened to be different!

Here is the sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge:

Ingredients:
Crafter's Companion papers
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking ink Tropical Punch
Spellbinders oval dies and scallop oval
Stampin Up sequins and Gumball Green paper
misc flowers and brads
card stock

Bitten By the Bug 2 Graduation challenge

Good morning, I hope you get to sleep in on this Memorial Day.  I know I am looking forward to it.   I am hosting the challenge over at Bitten By the Bug 2 today and the theme is Graduation. As I celebrate this holiday, I take a look back at last year's and my son's graduation ceremony.  I am sure whether you have a child or not, you know someone graduating.  If not adding graduation card to your stash or creating a layout of a past graduation would be perfect projects for the theme.

I began my layout with this beautiful frame from Anna's Decorative Monogram cart and this quote on a sticker from Creative Memories.

The diploma is a "scroll" from Wild Card. I detailed the tie with a pen.  The photo frame is from CTMH Artistry.

The graduation cap is from Locker Talk, a cartridge I recently acquired at a crafty yard sale.  I am glad it has already been used!  I detailed this cut with pens as well.

Ingredients:
Cricut cartridges:  Wild Card, Locker Talk, Close to My Heart Artistry, and Anna's Decorative Monogram
Creative Memories Black & White Power Palette papers and sticker sentiment
Creative Memories black card stock
Bazzill Two Scoops Black Walnut textured card stock
 Spellbinders Large Deckeled Rectangles
Distress marker Fossilized Amber
American Craft Precision Black pen
3-D sticker

I used the following Sketch N Scrap layout sketch #130 as inspiration.

The adventure's first...Sketch N Scrap card sketch

I have been busy in my craft room on this holiday weekend.  I created at least 3 cards and 2 layouts yesterday.  This is one of those cards.  I am playing along with Sketch N Scrap's Birthday Bash Bingo as well as their regular card sketch challenge.

I used this sketch from Sketch N Scrap.

I really wanted to play with these Cosmo Cricket papers again and thought this adventure quote paired well with the outdoorsy papers.

Ingredients:
Technique Junkies Alice in Wonderland Quotations
Cosmo Cricket S'more Love 8x8 papers
Generic label one bracket pierced die
Joycraft mushroom edge die
Distress ink Peeled Paint

Graphic 45 Off to the Races and Sketch N Scrap

Don't you just love Graphic 45?  I purchased this stack at Tuesday Morning.  My niece is a horse girl and I thought I would use it for her.  This time I have made her a birthday card.  The main issue is the paper stack features English riding style and my niece is a Western rider.  I tried to minimize those factors for her benefit.  But a horse is a horse, of course, of course... (a free card to the first person to comment below as to the source of that phrase)

Here is the past sketch I used from Sketch N Scrap #38 originally posted 11.20.14.  I reversed the image and sentiment because the horseshoes needed to be upright in my opinion.  I just love the little strip saying "hot to trot" that I added for the bottom piece.

I used a metallic pen to create a frame of dots.

I used a die cut to frame this sweet quote for the inside.

Ingredients:
Graphic 45 Off to the Races paper and stamps
Tsukineko Brilliance Lightening Black ink
Spellbinders Scallop Circle die
Spectrum Noir Bronze Metallic pen
Quick Quotes Midnight Confessions Powderpuff Chalking ink
Stampin Up Off white confetti card stock
pearl gems

Oceanside Layout with Sketch N Scrap

Here I have scrapped a couple of pics of my favorite drink and the ocean spray while playing along with Sketch N Scrap's Birthday Bash Bingo.  This challenge was to use a certain sketch.

Here is sketch #118 from Sketch N Scrap

I found a "coffee ring" stamp in my stash from Maple & Ink (the smaller one) but I felt I wanted a larger image.  I used a glass in my room and just inked the bottom and rubbed it on the paper.

Ingredients:
Bazzill, glitter, and textured card stock
Distress Antique Linen
Maple & Ink stamp
pint glass
Perfect Pearls spray ink
pineapple washi tape
Kite Stencil
Quick Quotes Blue Moon Powderpuff chalking ink
printed paper
Creative Memories sticker letters

My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Thank you card with Sketch N Scrap sketch

Thank you cards are always in demand.  I found this one to be sweet and simple.  I used the Sketch N Scrap sketch from the past as a start.   I just love the prints in the MME Lost & Found Blush stack.  After I chose the papers I had to find a round sentiment.  I thought I would find a Stampin Up with matching punch but this stamp from Inkadinkado was just perfect.

Here's the sketch I used from 2017 World Card Making Day Sketch #3.

I stamped the sentiment with a Stampin Up stamp, ink and punch.  I also used Our Daily Bread Designs Stitched Circle dies to create some shapes.  I used a piece of washi tape behind the sentiment.

Graphic 45 Time to Celebrate with Stampin Up Cool Treats and Sketch N Scrap sketch

Good morning, I am still playing along with Sketch N Scrap's 7th Birthday Bash Bingo.  Here is a sweet birthday card using Graphic 45 Time to Celebrate 6x6 paper stack. I also used Stampin Up Cool Treats stamp and matching dies.  I have had this set for a couple of years and finally pulled them out.  I found the sprinkles die was very hard to line up and I ended up coloring them with a pen.  Both of the other pieces were not completely lined up but very easy to ink the edges to cover any white edges.  I tried cutting and embossing the cone, I found simply cutting is enough as this example shows.  The crosshatch is very distinct with just one pass through the die cutting machine.

Ingredients:
Graphic 45 Time to Celebrate 6x6 paper pack
Stampin Up Cool Treats  stamps and Frozen Treat framelits
Martha Stewart Bamboo ink (ice cream)
Stampin Up Wild Wasabi ink (sentiment)
Quick Quotes Latte PowderPuff Chalking Inks (cone)
Stampin Up Off White Confetti card stock
Distress Walnut Stain pen
pearl gems and twine
