Stamps of Life Chocolate Box Birthday card as Guest Designer for FarmQuest Grocery Game Challenges

Hello and welcome.  I am excited to be a guest designer for FarmQuest Grocery Game Challenge for challenge #21, anything food goes!  My favorite food is chocolate!  I got the chance to play with this Stamps of Life set for the first time. I went wild experimenting. I die cut the chocolates (used here) and I also colored and embossed the chocolates (I will show that make another time). I did watch the Stamps of Life video on youtube and boy did it have some helpful hints.

Play along with anything FOOD goes HERE.

I found a wonderful die cut sentiment and cut it in the same papers as I used on the chocolates.  I actually used three different papers on the chocolates.  The glitter, the Bazzil and a matte dark brown for the wrappers.

I found some vintage bias in my stash to add a bow because every box of chocolates needs a bow especially a birthday box!

It may not seem that I stamped on this make, but I did!  I stamped the box of chocolates then layered the die cuts on top if not colored it is a template for the die cuts.

Ingredients:
Stamps of Life Chocolate2stamps and dies
vintage fiber
White card stock
Momento Tuxedo Black ink

Music Layout: Favorite Topic to Scrap for Lasting Memories Challenge as Guest Designer

Welcome to my last post as guest designer for Lasting Memories challenge.  This week's challenge is to scrap your favorite topic.  I used some old stash a Story Tellers Club kit.  It was in my "music" stash and I thought perfect for these photos.

I am not sure if you are familiar with The Story Teller's Club but it was a monthly scrapbook kit that came with several double sided printed papers, punch out die cut sheets, ribbon and coordinating card stock. Oh! and I think they usually came with sticker letters.  At least I still have some in my stash.

Added beyond the kit was some red resin roses.  They are probably Tim Holtz Idea-ology.  They were just perfect for this layout!

Ingredients:
The Storytellers Club kit May 2011
Mrs. Grossman sticker letters
red resin roses

Graphic 45: My Favorite Brand for Lasting Memories Challenge as Guest Designer

Welcome to my next installment of my guest designer spot at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge.  This week's challenge is to use your favorite brand.  I found this to be a true challenge, there are so many brands that I love.  However, I would say I fell in love with Graphic 45 when I saw them at Megameet in Michigan.  I have been a fan ever since.  I hoard this paper, but I am trying to use it up!

Graphic 45 Artisan Style lent itself very nicely to the photos of this gorgeous building in Chicago.  I created a faux stained glass window with die cuts.  I also used it as my journal spot.

Ingredients:
Graphic 45 Artisan Style  and Decorative Flourish papers and stamps #1
Creative Expressions (Sue Wilson) Frames & Tags Cecilia dies
Creative Memories Custom Cutting System
The Paper Company Peach Shimmer card stock
Stampin Up Matte Decorative Dots

Favorite Embellishments for Lasting Memories Challenge as Guest Designer

It's Sunday and time for my July guest designer post for Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenges.  This week's challenge is to use your favorite embellishment.  My favorite is gems/dots/pearls. I threw in a lot of buttons on this sketch but the smaller pearls are really my go to for any layout or card.

I used the July 1 sketch from Sketch N Scrap. I turned the sketch to accommodate my photo orientation.  It really allowed me to highlight my favorite embellishments.

Here is a close up of the embellishments.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Rugged Power Palette
Crafter's Square blue pearls
misc buttons and beads

Halloween layout: My Favorite Holiday for Lasting Memories as Guest Designer

Welcome to my second week as guest designer at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog.  This week's challenge #758 is scrapping your favorite holiday.  My favorite holiday is Halloween.  It's always a fun holiday! This particular Halloween we traveled to New Orleans for a concert.

Here is page one.  I began with a kit from way back...for years I belonged to The Storytellers Club.  They really had some great kits.  Long ago I separated the card stock and kits by theme.  I found this one in my Halloween papers.

I found a Pinterest sketch to use for page one.

I love this green shimmer paper.  I still have a few more sheets but I am getting low after years.  I purchased a 25 count pack at Tuesday Morning.  My purchase has outlived the store!  I used Creative Memories sticker letters.  I keep chipping away at my stash.

For the title I used my Cricut and a rock n roll font with skulls and cross bones. I layered scraps of the green shimmer paper behind the cut outs.

I used a sheet of Halloween circle stickers and layered them on a Tim Holtz Sizzix die cut.  I think the bat is from a Recollections collection but I could be mistaken.

The second page continues the title and more of my circle embellishments.

I found another sketch with four or more photos on Pinterest.  You can find this one HERE.  I loved all the action shots of this song and wanted to include a lot of images, therefore, I printed them small.

The Storytellers Club kits always included several pages of die cut embellishments to punch out.  I thought these brackets were adorable!  I had to use them.  The border with glitter words is a different brand but coordinates well.

A close up of one of the clusters using my circle embellishment and echo park brads.

Ingredients:
The Storytellers Club October 2009 kit
ANC Crestwood Grass Green Shimmer and Plum adhesive backed paper
Creative Memories mini sticker letters
Cricut Rock Star font
Tim Holtz Sizzix Stitched Circles
Echo Park Decorative brads Arsenic & Lace
Creative Memories circle cutting system
Halloween border (K & Co?)
dimensional bat stickers and other stickers
black card stock

Stampin Up Watercolor Wonder DSP with Cutter Bee Drink dies for Lasting Memories Guest Designer

Welcome to my Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog guest designer post.  They have a new challenge every Sunday for the entire month.  Today's challenge is to use your favorite tool.  My current favorite tool is my Gemini Jr.  I used it and Cutter Bee Drinks die set to create the drink blocks.  I added dimension by cutting the drink parts out in and popped them up on the drinks.

The embossing and details on these dies is great. I did use some Quick Quotes Powderpuff inks to enhance the details.  I used a sticker for a quick quote.  I searched and searched for the name of this restaurant but it seems it has closed.  I know it was within half a block of the blues bar we went to but on the other side of the street because we walked.  I would have taken a title from the name, oh well.

I created a second page with Stampin Up DSP from the same collection.  I purchased the papers second hand so I did not have an entire pack.  I have enough left over for one or two more layouts or some cards. These were really such pretty colors.

Here's a look at both pages together.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up DSP Watercolor Wonder
Cutter Bee Drinks dies
Spellbinders Large and Small Nesting square dies
Stampin Up Matte Decorative Dots
vellum quote stickers
misc card stock including Stampin Up Island Indigo and Gumball Green
pop dots

Tim Holtz dogs "Warm & Cuddly" cards as January Double Trouble Crazy Cousin

Welcome to my blog today.  I am guest designing for Double Trouble Challenge blog.  The position is called Crazy Cousin and I am excited about the new format at Double Trouble Challenge beginning this month.  As usual there are three parts to the challenge but the details of each have changed. See below for all the details. I was so excited I may have gone overboard.

Here is my awesome Crazy Cousin avatar including my little dog Sparky.

Here are the details of this month's challenge.  The first part is a 3-2-1 recipe. This week is 3 colors, 2 layers and 1 cuddly image.

This year the Double Dare will be playing along with Try a Sketch On Tuesday every challenge.

I really got carried away and created three cards.  The Tim Holtz set I own comes with three dogs so I had to color all of them!  Out of the three versions this was my husbands favorite.

This is the first little guy I inked up, I wanted him to match the yellows in my paper pack.

I gave this puppy some spots.  I chose the blue background it looks like it makes him happy.

Ingredients:
Tim Holtz Sizzix Dog Talk stamp and die set
Tutti Designs Cross Stitch Nesting Square dies
American Crafts 6x6 basics paper pad
alcohol markers

If you follow all three parts of Double Trouble Challenge play along there and you are most likely eligible to enter in these challenges:  Try a Sketch On Tuesday and Crazy Critters Challenge.

Hot off the Press Steampunk and Guest Designing for Lasting Memories

Today is my final installment as guest designer for Lasting Memories Layout challenges.  This week's challenge is to use gold.  I tried to sprinkle several golden pieces into my layout of my bestie, Cyndi.

I dropped a brad in the center of this metal gear embellishment.  I layered it on top of a glitter flourish sticker. The sticker had multiple pieces and I layered gems on top of more of the pieces.

I did the same here adding Stampin Up Opaque Gems to the glitter flourish stickers by Momenta.I tucked a metallic gold doily behind Cyndi's photo.

I also created the gem embellishment.  I used a black die cut piece from my stash.  I found an oval die that fit perfectly behind the gem and on the existing die cut.  I have to remember which oval fits, I will use this combination again.  I cut that oval in a coordinating color and layered the gem and both die cuts.  It still needed something else.  I added some more gems to the ends.  I also distressed the die cuts with gold ink.

Ingredients:
Hot off the Press Steampunk paper pack
Creative Memories paper and card stock
Bo Bunny Et Cetera Brads
Stampin Up Gems
Momenta Black Glitter Flourish stickers
Spellbinders Class Oval Small die
Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz Gadget Gears die cut
Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz Movers and Shapers Styled labels
Creative Memories Sticker letters
Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink
Colorbox Sepia Black
Misc gems, doily and gears

H= Hot off the Press paper, O= Oval gem, T= Tim Holtz die cutsx

Connecticut River Cruise layout for Lasting Memories as Guest Designer

Good morning it's time for my next installment as guest designer for Lasting Memories Layout challenges.  I haven't been scrapping chronologically for a few years.  I belong to design teams and guest occassionaly like this month, when I do I just pic photos that fit the theme/sketch no matter where the subject.  I have completed enough of the Connecticut trip that I am finally organizing an album!  Unfortunately for my regular readers you will see a few more of my trip from 2020.  For me I have set a goal to have it finished, wish me luck!

The challenge this week is to "get wet", use inks or mixed media.  I used an assortment of shimmer and ink sprays to create the watery background. I also added sea glass as an embellishment.  Perfect for the river cruise photos.

I also added some brads and die cut clouds.

Ingredients:
Distress Oxide Spray Salty Ocean
Heidi Swapp Colorshine Navy
Tattered Angels Shimmer Mist Moonlight
Wink of Stella clear
Avery Elle Pierced Clouds
Creative Memories sticker letters
Sea glass and misc brads
Misc paper and card stock

You can play along with Lasting Memories Layout challenges until the end of the month. Thanks for spending your precious time with me today.

Let Your Soulshine layout for Lasting Memories

Welcome to my second installment as guest designer for Lasting Memories.  I am continuing to work on my trip to Connecticut. This was on the train trip.  It was actually nice traveling with everything half full, there was always plenty of room to hang with our friends.  This week's challenge at Lasting Memories is to use "Olympic Rings" or at least five circles or rings on your layout.  I found this series of photos lent itself well to the circle frames.

I found the sun dies already in my stash from a previous project.  I am not sure they were intended to go together and the top sun was white.  I inked it up with some distress ink and popped it on dots on top of the other sun.  A perfect circle embellishment for a circle layout.

I finished off the layout with a large title taken from a song by our favorite band.  We were in Connecticut to see some of them.

Ingredients:
DCWV Stardust Stack
Misc papers and card stock
Brutus Monroe Decorative Details
Robin's Nest Tear Drops
Creative Memories Circle cutting system
Creative Memories sticker letters
Lawn Fawn Out of this world Sun die
another sun die
Tim Holtz Fossilized Amber Distress ink
Colorbox Sepia Black cat's eye ink

Don't forget to play along with Lasting Memories until the end of the month.
