Sketch n Scrap Card sketch

I just loved how this little card turned out!

The sentiment stamp is Stampin Up and I used the emboss resist technique again.  I used SU Summer Sun, Wild Wasabi and Groovy Guava.  The embossing powder is Judikins pastel which is more of a pearl.  I used a Scrapmart Spellbinders exclusive die for the gloss on glossy card stock.  I think the paper is Jillibean which I cut with a Kiwi Lane Designs template.  Other ingredients:
Creative Memories shimmer card stock
Bazzill textured card stock
W R washi tape
Queen & Co Bling
Green fiber

I layered the washi on white card stock to make is clean and bright.

Here's the sketch

Here's all three cards together:

wedding themed page kit from Mambi.

So, sit back and grab yourself a Latte' as we dare to amaze you with our projects.

I made today's project in a class from Clear scraps at Great Lakes Mega Meet earlier this month.  I took the class knowing my recent wedding photos would be used!  I am going to punch holes in them and string a black ribbon for hanging.  I am creating a wall of our wedding photos including the one everyone signed at our reception.

I am pretty sure we used a My Mind's eye collection.

Destination 12x12 Acrylic Layout
Instructor: Susan Frase
Sponsored by: Clear Scraps
Clear Scraps has put together this beautiful double page 12x12 acrylic layout class
Special requirements:
3 N 1 adhesive both by Beacon (You must have a solvent based adhesive) and foam dots.

As you can see I changed it up a bit once I got home and finished the project. I added some 3-D flowers since this will be a wall hanging. I put the date in a different place and used different stickers.
One of the best tips for using the acrylic sheets was to outline the edge with a paint pen!  It really makes it stand out.  I loved working with the acrylic and purchased several more sheets in their booth.  I can't wait to play more!

Your next stop will be with...

If  you get lost along the way here is the entire line-up for todays hop for you to get back on track and not miss a single project.

Judikins Stamp using Emboss Resist Technique

I had so much fun trying the Scrapbook Blessings Emboss Resist challenge.  I watched their video and the next one to pop up was about a more detailed stamp emboss resist technique using Wink of Stella to highlight.  So that is what I did!  As soon as I watched that video I thought of this wonderful stamp from Judikins that I have not used yet.  It makes me think of summer and particularly summer music festivals.

I made three cards and the images all turned out a little different although I used Stampin Up Groovy Guava, Summer Sun, Bordering Blue, Wild Wasabi and Mix'd Media honey inks on all of them.  I dug through my "orange" papers and found this old rice paper which went great with the groovy guava ink.  I also found this neat border stamp which I believe is from hero arts.  I used groovy guava on that image.  I used a shimmer green paper and Kiwi Lane Designs accents template to cut the flower/sun shape.  The flower was some candy from the Scrapbook Blessings FB group!  Thanks ladies!

I also added some Queen & Co green pearl bling and WR washi on two sides of the handmade paper.

All three cards together.

Another close up of the sparkle!

HOTP Steampunk 3-D papier tole die cuts
The Paper Loft Gentler Times Afternoon Tea paper

Altered Letters ~ M is for Morgan

Happy Birthday Morgan!  Today I am showing you Morgan's Christmas present because it is her birthday today!

The letter was white but I had in mind a soft girly camouflage with not pink so I painted crème on top of the white.

Then I began to use a sponge to sponge on some various colors of acrylic paint.

I filled it in for the most part and finally went back with some painted mesh that I pushed down and back up fairly quickly.  It gave this letter just the effect I was looking for!

Added some peachy and brown flowers with bling...

And some great fibers!

Some of the paint is textured.

This is my favorite letter I created for my girls' Christmas gifts.

The Paper Loft & Scrapbook.com Pagemap #3

Today I have used The Paper Loft Everyday Life Collection again.  I used the Page Map #3 from scrapbook.com :

I added a few enameled dots here and there.  The "family" title is an old Creative Memories sticker layered on Paper Loft paper.  There is also a Martha Stewart ribbon in there...

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget about my big giveaway!! which ends May 31

The Paper Loft & Sketch N Scrap Sketch

Today I have used The Paper Loft's Everyday Life collection for this awesome layout!  It was supposed to be a regular layout for my scrapbook but I started adding all these light bulbs!  I thought they were appropriate since my husband works with electricity.  This is him and his dad at Christmas in 2011.  I am now going to frame it and give it to my FIL for Father's Day.

Here's the sketch I used:

Some of the embellishments are Tim Holtz, some are The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby and I bet some are Recollections from Michael's.  I think the spinners are from Stampin Up.  The sticker letters are from The Paper Loft, too.  7 Gypsies paper tape is layered behind the picture.

DCWV May Sketch Birthday Layout

What a beautiful day and I started the day with a brisk walk of the dog and I have gotten so much accomplished!  I just loved how this layout turned out.  I used the May DCWV sketch and their Taj Mahal paper stack.  I also used a Sizzix folder to emboss some beautiful metallic gold paper!  I was so happy with it!  I cut out the center to make it a frame and embossed a small strip with a different folder for the bottom portion.  Of course, I have added:

Queen & Co felt strip
Queen & Co bling
Mesh
Resin Flower brads
Fabric flowers
Metallic fibers
Recollections bling
Darice bling
Creative Memories gold stickers & title sticker
Rub on quote

And here is the sketch:
