'Tis the Season: Stampin Up Peaceful Pines card

I have been working on this card all week.  I just don't have enough time on weekdays (after work) to play between dogs, kids and dinner...uh!  I was so inspired but didn't finish in time for all the challenges I intended on joining.

I used this sketch from Sketch Saturday:

Here are details of the card.

Here is my first version.  I made a few refinements that I think improved the card but I wasn't sure of the sentiment, so I am showing you both.  Let me know below which version you like.  I would gladly be inclined to send a little candy to one lucky person who follows and comments.  I will choose someone right before Christmas.

I like the sparkle snowflake behind the sentiment on this one.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Peaceful Pines stamps and embossing folder
Stampin Up Festival of Trees (sentiment on card #2)
Sizzix Evergreen embossing folder
Versamark ink and Sparkle N Sprinkle tinsel embossing powder
Our Daily Bread Designs stitched rectangle dies
Quick Quotes Plum Crazy chalking ink
scrap papers

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:

I also used this inspiration but missed the deadline:

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Alicia

  5. Hate when everyday life gets in the way of creating cards and LOs! LOL....glad you found some time to finish! Love both cards but I'm partial to the first card. Although purple is my fave color, I prefer the background embossed white to be less purple and I just love the ''tis the season stamped onto the star!
