Stampin Up Watercolor Wonder DSP with Cutter Bee Drink dies for Lasting Memories Guest Designer

Welcome to my Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog guest designer post.  They have a new challenge every Sunday for the entire month.  Today's challenge is to use your favorite tool.  My current favorite tool is my Gemini Jr.  I used it and Cutter Bee Drinks die set to create the drink blocks.  I added dimension by cutting the drink parts out in and popped them up on the drinks.

The embossing and details on these dies is great. I did use some Quick Quotes Powderpuff inks to enhance the details.  I used a sticker for a quick quote.  I searched and searched for the name of this restaurant but it seems it has closed.  I know it was within half a block of the blues bar we went to but on the other side of the street because we walked.  I would have taken a title from the name, oh well.

I created a second page with Stampin Up DSP from the same collection.  I purchased the papers second hand so I did not have an entire pack.  I have enough left over for one or two more layouts or some cards. These were really such pretty colors.

Here's a look at both pages together.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up DSP Watercolor Wonder
Cutter Bee Drinks dies
Spellbinders Large and Small Nesting square dies
Stampin Up Matte Decorative Dots
vellum quote stickers
misc card stock including Stampin Up Island Indigo and Gumball Green
pop dots

Stampin Up Festive Birthday and Stamps of Life Pinata 2 layout for Sketches in Thyme

Good morning and welcome.  I have created a layout today using this week's Sketches in Thyme's sketch #666 by Shawn Lahr. I really went all out on the fun fiesta theme! I used Stampin Up Festive Birthday DSP and Stamps of Life Pinata 2 stamp and die set. I also die cut the fringe strip with a die.

Here is the sketch. You can play along with this week's sketch HERE

Die cutting and paper piecing is one of my favorite techniques.  I created the pinata pieces from many different papers and topped them off with gems.

Here's the taco I colored with alcohol inks.

Scrapbook.com Market Blooms Happy card for Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog today, I am playing along with Atlantic Hearts Challenge #634.  This is a great sketch for scraps.  I used some scraps from Scrapbook.com Market Blooms A2 paper.  I did have to pay attention to keep my stripes going in the same direction, so be mindful if you use pattern papers.

Here is this week's Atlantic Hearts Challenge #634.

Here is a view from the top.  You can see I popped up the sentiment piece on foam dots.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Everything is Rosy sentiment

Stampin Up Thanks a bunch for Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Welcome to my latest card for Atlantic Hearts Challenge. I recently grabbed this Stampin Up designer series paper from a crafty yard sale. These pieces were cut down to A2 size.  Perfect for tearing with my tearing tool to achieve the jagged angled edge.  However, I could not figure out what the name of the paper was.

Here's the sketch. A very versatile look and easy to create multiples when using double sided printed papers.

Another view of my super easy cute and sweet thank you card.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Celebrate Sunflowers stamp sentiment
Colorbox pigment ink
Stampin Up DSP
Fiskars Paper Tear ruler

Crafter's Companion Vintage Vegas 102nd Birthday card

Welcome today. As you may notice these photos were not taken in my studio. I sometimes call my son "last minute logan"....wonder where he gets it?  I finished this one on the way out the door to the party. Quite a special one! 102!! I used some new products from Crafter's Companion. As I was making this, I decided I need more of this collection.  I have only the embossing folder and this die set.  I need the other die set and sentiment set.

Here's the birthday boy with his card.

Ingredients:
Spellbinders Happy Birthday with Numbers
red foil, black glossy and white card stock

UPDATE:  Vernon Hill passed away the day after his 102nd birthday.  I think he chose to leave us that day...he had a full and wonderful life and was healthy up to the end.  I don't see how one could ask for more.
