Lawn Fawn Oh Joy Seasonal card

Hello, Alicia here today with a clean and simple holiday card.  I am having so much fun with Lawn Fawn Winter Big Scripty Words stamps and matching Lawn Fawn Winter Big Scripty Words dies.  This is the first time I have played with the light bulbs and strings.  This set has proven so versatile.

From this angle you can see how neat the partial cut looks.

Steps to creating a partial die cut with stamped image:
  1. Stamp image on card base in appropriate direction
  2. Secure die on image
  3. Place cutting pad half way across die
  4. Fold base and trim excess paper from front panel if necessary

To finish off the card I cut a panel of printed paper for the remainder of the front panel.  I stamped and embossed the strings and bulbs.  Adhered all the pieces and finally chalked the edges.

Let It Snow: Quick Quotes Winter Bliss

Hello, Alicia sharing a sweet winter card with you today.  I used Quick Quotes Winter Bliss collection (again) .  I just love these new papers so much!  They have proven so versatile.

Here are the details of chalking the embossed snowmen.  I lightly swiped the Coconut White PowderPuff Chalking Ink over the piece several times.  You could also use a dauber as an applicator of the ink.  I also inked the edges for a cohesive look.  This technique makes for a simple but stunning effect.

'Tis the Season: Stampin Up Peaceful Pines card

I have been working on this card all week.  I just don't have enough time on weekdays (after work) to play between dogs, kids and dinner...uh!  I was so inspired but didn't finish in time for all the challenges I intended on joining.

I used this sketch from Sketch Saturday:

Here are details of the card.

Here is my first version.  I made a few refinements that I think improved the card but I wasn't sure of the sentiment, so I am showing you both.  Let me know below which version you like.  I would gladly be inclined to send a little candy to one lucky person who follows and comments.  I will choose someone right before Christmas.

I like the sparkle snowflake behind the sentiment on this one.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up Peaceful Pines stamps and embossing folder
Stampin Up Festival of Trees (sentiment on card #2)
Sizzix Evergreen embossing folder
Versamark ink and Sparkle N Sprinkle tinsel embossing powder
Our Daily Bread Designs stitched rectangle dies
Quick Quotes Plum Crazy chalking ink
scrap papers

DCWV Far East and November Stack-a-holic challenge

I had a chance to scrap this weekend.  I have completed about a dozen pages over the past couple of days.  I have transferred the completed pages of my honeymoon to an actual album.  I have about 18 pages left on the first album.  This vacation will take two albums.  This page is one the first as it was our first evening at the resort.

I used the sketch from the DCWV November Stack-a-holic challenge.

Here are some of the details.  Expect to see many more pages of this album in the coming days.

Ingredients:
DCWV Far East stack and embellishments
DCWV Green Mint Porcelain paper
border punch
heart shaped doily
Recollections enamel dots
