BRRRRR...it is so cold almost every where today. I haven't posted much lately but that doesn't mean I haven't been working my fingers to the bone. I have a couple of blog hops coming up. First Take A Hike!
Then a 12 Day long hop! Getting 12 projects together is a chore! And I am knee deep in Christmas!
So.....I have one last warm hurrah! This is a card I did for The Paper Loft. I was dying to use these awesome K & Co stickers and I thought they went perfectly with the Island Sun collection from Paper Loft.
Over at Scrap Creations Kristen talks about not being a glitter girl. I am and I am not. I don't really like playing with glitter. I think it is pretty messy. I am beginning to warm up to the "chunky" glitter. I have found a few useful places for it. But when I finally tried Wink of Stella brushes, I found a sparkle that I really LOVE! It is subtle and hard to catch in pictures but in person it really makes a card. Like this one.
The K & Co stickers already had sparkle so the Wink of Stella added a bit to the rest of the card. I also used a new Spellbinders embossing folder, I love embossing! It is one of my favorite techniques.. It adds so much to paper. I highlighted the sea shells with Quick Quotes powder puff and Wink of Stella.
Ingredients:
The Paper Loft Island Sun collection: Sandy beach, Coral bay, Emerald Cove
The Paper Loft accessory sheet
Kiwi Lane Bracket 1 & 2
Spellbinders shell embossing folder
K & Co dimensional stickers
Wink of Stella clear
ribbon
pop dots

ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty! I love the ocean and anything to do with the ocean is my cup of tea. I agree with you about the Wink of Stella pens...I recently got them (on sale at 7-Kids College Fund) and am thrilled with them. The glittery look is fabulous and adding a touch to the seashells and background is perfect. Very pretty card. Thanks for submitting this in our Anything Goes challenge at Crafty Sentiments this week! Hugs, Gail
