Creative Memories Harvest card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to my inspiration for the latest  Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I ran across these beautiful papers while organizing my autumn embellishments.  I remember when I got them years ago from a Creative Memories event, I wanted to hoard them.  I have changed my attitude about product more recently.  I use whatever I want whenever I want.  Sometimes the week I get it and sometimes many years later, as is the case here.

Here is this week's sketch from  Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

I sprinkled around some coordinating stickers. I cut the title with my Cricut.

Cricut Give Thanks~Bitten By the Bug 2 Celebrate with Food Challenge

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration for the latest Bitten By the Bug 2 Challenge~Celebrate with Food.  I used the Cricut Simple Holiday Card cartridge to cut this easy card.

The beauty is in the details.  I used a lovely printed paper as a background behind the cut card.  Then I added inks and gloss accents to a few of the silhouetted foods.

Here are some of the inks and glossy accents I used for the details.

This is the card prior to accenting with glossy accents and inks.

Ingredients:
Cricut Simple Holiday Cards
Creative Memories 8x8 Bountiful paper
Brown card stock
Spectrum Noir metallic pens
Judikins Diamond Glaze
Liquid Pearls

Thanks for stopping by and don't for get to play along at Bitten By the Bug 2 until December 9.

Cricut and Creative Memories First Thanksgiving card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Welcome, it's time again for the next Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I have really been concentrating on using up my old product.  This Creative Memories paper is pretty old from a Croptoberfest past.  However, I actually picked this pack up at the thrift store for $2.  I had just a few scraps left from my recent Mini Album.  I do love these soft and versatile prints.  I cut the images using my Cricut A Child's First Year cartridge.

Here is the sketch for this week from It's time again for the next Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

A close up of the cut, I layered it on a couple of layered die cut circles.  The stitched scallops added just a bit of flair to this simple design.

I fussy cut the banner layers, it is not too distinguishable but they are different papers. One with leaves and one with writing.  I used a Recollections card base, again trying to use up my stash!

Ingredients:
Cricut cartridge A Child's Year
Tutti Scalloped Stitched Nesting Circle die
Spellbinders Circle die
Creative Memories Bountiful 8x8 papers
misc papers
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking ink

Happy Anniversary! Bitten By the Bug 2 challenge

Welcome to the my inspiration for the latest Bitten By the Bug 2 Anniversary Challenge open for the next two weeks.  I used Cricut Classically Modern Card images to create this intricate cards.  My Cricut Maker also wrote perfectly lined sentiments inside the cards with matching envelopes.

The second card didn't turn out quite as well as I desired.  I thought the white on the reverse side of this metallic paper would be perfect to write a sentiment inside.  I did not consider the edges weren't perfectly lined up and the white shows.

Ingredients:
Classically Modern Cards
Sentiment from Anna's Garden Cards and Embellishments
various papers

I made a envelope mini album of my son's recent "greatest achievement".  He ran 50K on 10.27.19. I am so very proud of him, it is going to be hard to save this until Xmas.

I love putting together these envelope mini's. I am not going into the details to create the base of the mini, but you can find a really quick tutorial HERE. I have a huge box of 5x7 envelopes~leftovers from a store...not sure how all cards get separated from the envelopes but it is to my benefit!  I recently picked up a Creative Memories Bountiful 8x8 paper pack from a thrift store and completed this album with left overs!  You can't beat the price of this project.

I cut the title with my Cricut Maker from the same paper collection.  I fussy cut one of the pieces with the leaves, inked them and adhered them on top of the original print for extra pop!  The large orange brad is part of the closure.

And now for the inside...this set of pages has a half page pocket on the right, I punched a couple of tags, added twine and placed them in the pocket.  I had a photo of the marathon route.  It has some very strenuous elevation changes...lined with stone steps hence the name.

Page two/three has a pocket but more on that in a minute.  I created a half page fold on page four.  I am holding it shut with a brad and photo frame lock.

The last couple of pages have a couple of stickers and layered die cut papers.  I added washi tape for interest.  I also added washi tape on the spine for strength and it is method by which I added my half page to page 3.

Finally, the back of the album.  I secured the twine to hold the album closed with a brad on the back.

Now my inserts, on one of the pages (envelopes) I cut a tiny sliver off the closed end creating a full size pocket behind the half page pocket.  I added pull tabs made with scraps.  I adhered a pic to each page and left the back for my son to journal about his experience.

When sorting the pics I took, my son chose the one below.  My guess it is reminds him of the discomfort that resulted from almost 6 and half hours of running!!! His official time was 6:23:4.  His first ultra marathon!

I am sure he can find things to write about his experience.  It was a phenomenal accomplishment especially considering he has never even ran a full marathon.  He didn't win by 2 full hours but not many would even attempt this feat much less not train.
