Sketch N Scrap Twistback Thursday Sketch Canoe Trip

Today I have for you another Sketch N Scrap sketch!  This one is Twistback Thursday...so they have pulled out an old sketch and your twist is to use "outdoor" pictures!  I think I accomplished this task.

As long as I was scrapping some of the pictures from the event, I thought I would scrap the rest.

This is a simple page, I love the paper so much I didn't want to cover much of it on page one.  Music is my favorite way to spend my free time.  I love live concerts.  This event was particularly intimate inside a record store in Louisville, Kentucky which has sadly closed its doors.

I used a few KLD templates on page 2 for some interest since the paper was a bit more plain.

Simple, easy and done!!!  I know I am on several DT's and come up with elaborate pages but they all can't be bulky works of art...sometimes you just need to stick it down and be DONE!  Here's to completing lots of pages during National Scrapbooking Month!!!

Quick Quotes May Club Q Mother's and Grandmother's

I am so excited about this month's Club Q!  What a fun package to get!  Quick Quotes Club Q Ultimate Combo!!!  I am not too schooled in making mini albums from scratch but I took that pile of envelopes and made this mini for my mother for Mother's Day.  She loved it!  She loves the shabby chic look and of course, she loved an album with these old pictures of her mother whom she lost way too early, in fact I never knew this grandmother.

I made the album a little "loose" so that I would have room to use the fabric flowers and pearls that came in the Club Q kit.  I really went all out on my grandparent's wedding day photo page adding another fabric flower from the Quick Quotes Club Q Ultimate kit and some of the pearl flourish.  I cut the flourish into pieces and spread it throughout the album.

This page features my grandmother with her siblings. On this project I colored the chipboard with Latte PowderPuff Chalking Ink.

The first page has a photo of my mother and her mother and I then tried to make it as chronological as I could.  Some of the original photos had information on the back but most did not.

I also made a two page layout with my kit.  I used these old photos of my other grandmother, she is now 90 and just had a bad fall last month.  She is recuperating in a nursing home.  We all hope she gets to go home soon.

On this project I cover the chipboard pieces with paper and placed a brad in the middle to hold down the lace.

Last day at the beach....monochromatic layout

My sister is a great photographer.  She took this one of my family while we were at the beach with the entire family!  This is from a couple of years ago at Ocean Isle Beach, NC.  Both of the boys are taller than us now!  I am so glad this moment was captured.

check out my little crab punched friend.  And I just fell in love with this Recollections paper that looks like aquarium gravel so I purchased a couple of sheets when they had one of their sales on paper.

Ocean Isle Beach layout

Here's a layout I did for a NSD challenge with The Storyteller's Club papers and die cuts.

Groovy Times "Love" on handmade background

This is another card I made as part of a crop where my friend Theresa made the background and I created the card with it!  I used the Cricut Groovy Times card and some miscellaneous card stock including glitter paper!  The background reminded me of a bright, happy tie dye so I went with the grooooovy feel....

I was multitasking with this set of cards!  I had the three sketches to work with as part of NSD challenge.  I also used these to complete in a challenge to make cards in under 10 minutes.  I was successful on two but not one.
