More ATC's

Here are the last of the ATC craze I was on earlier in the month.  I had previously embossed this inchie back ground with a black magic embossing powder but was at a loss with what to do with it.  I colored a discarded Jerry Garcia stamp from my discarded bin.  I colored him with my alcohol markers.  I am not very good yet.

The side view shows the glittery embossing.  I also added some sparkle to his hair with a pen.

I embossed on the collage prior to cutting it up into ATC size.

Mojo Monday sketch using The Paper Loft Shades of Gray

These card use The Paper Loft Shades of Gray collection.  I used a Spellbinders die to cut and emboss the scalloped circles. As usual I used Brilliance Graphite Black for embossing ink and Judikins black detail embossing powder.

Here's the sketch I used from Mojo Monday:

The Paper Loft Shades of Gray ATC's

Here is a set of ATC's I made from The Paper Loft Shades of Gray paper collection.  I was part of an ATC swap with the theme being collage.  I used scraps of the paper to create an 8.5x11 page of collage.  I stamped some swirls in black and embossed some in silver.  Then I went back and stamped some in grey.  I used a leftover glitter heart for the first one and the sentiment comes from Shades of Gray with Tim Holtz tinsel twine and musical washi tape.

This one is my favorite.

ATC Series One of 2014

I have a little basket of random diecuts and stamped images that I made but didn't use for some reason.  I started digging through this basket and made these guys!

This is the first ATC I made this year.  I used Stampin Up stamps and ink, Groovy Guava.  I was just playing around with this new stamp set when it arrived and created all these images.  I thought it was a fun way to use them.  I popped some up on pop dots and the "sunshine" is an embossed image from a card I did in a card swap.

Leftovers again, an ATC I cut for a breast cancer swap but didn't use.  Still a cutie with felt, washi tape and bling.

I cut this piece from a sample of braying ink.  It is beautiful ink on glossy cardstock and I had just purchased these peacock feather clear stickers and epoxy flower brads.

To this leftover Xmas sentiment I added earthy owl washi tape and mushrooms to a wood paper.  I love my mushroom stamps I bought on ebay a few years ago.  They are from all of the world and all have mushrooms on them!  Then I added a neat lil mushroom slick sticker.

More wood paper with spare diecut gears.  I spritzed a couple with some different inks.  I think they turned out neat.

Playing with spritzed backgrounds.  All the butterflies are diecuts and stamps from playing around too!  The diecuts are from Spellbinders.  I added a DCWV chipboard sentiment and bling!

I had fun stepping out of the box and I still have a few more series of ATC's I did after this being watching!  Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Scale Baby Card using Sizzix embossing folder

You know how the packaging always makes the die cuts look so neat?  I decided to try and recreate the image on the packaging of my latest diecut.  Actually, it was a set of a diecut with an embossing folder from Sizzix.  It was in the clearance section of Hobby Lobby for $4.31!  How could I pass up such a bargain, but now what to make with it?

A baby card!  I wanted to put varying amounts of effort into a couple of different diecuts.

I still ran three different pieces of paper through the Big Shot on both versions, but on the version below I made the "stem" metallic as show in the packaging.

Here are the two completed versions:

Was it worth the extra effort?  In this case, no, I tied a bow on the "stem" so it is not really noticeable.  Let me know what you think.

I used an old D.O.T.S (CTMH) set Oh Happy Day! for the baby feet and the sentiment inside.  I used Recollections green and ivory shimmer, Creative Memories vanilla, DCWV metallic silver cardstocks.  The inks I used were American Craft blush and Stampin Up Bordering Blue and I edged all the green pieces in Colorbox silk green.  I added buttons with floss and a soft fiber bow and a snippet of lace ribbon!

Girl version.

Boy version.

I layered the inside with the same ivory shimmer stamped more images.

Graphic 45 Wedding Thank You Cards

Most of my wedding thank you's have gone out now, so I can show off my most beautiful!  I just love this series!  I used Graphic 45 Le Romantique Collection, My Beloved.  I tried to cut the paper to get a good section for the card mats.

On some I added copper stickles, Recollections bling, ribbon, flowers, and miscellaneous buttons laced with floss.

The paper layers are amber metallic cardstock from The Paper Company and more Graphic 45 from On the Boardwalk.

I embossed with Judikins metallic copper.

The card base is ivory shimmer from Michael's.  All the edges are brushed with copper metallic ink.

Thanks for stopping by today!  And thank YOU for everything!  I will be announcing the details of my 100 follower giveaway soon!

The Paper Loft Everyday Life Boy Layout

It feels like it has been a while since I have scrapbooked.  I have been making cards and some ATC's most recently.  But, I just printed over 600 pictures at Walgreen's because I had scrapbooked all my printed pictures for my chronological album.  I printed the last few months of 2011!  I find this past year using challenges and sketches has definitely improved my scrapbooking.  First of all you must know, I use the Creative Memories Power Layout method.  I can layout a entire years worth of photos.  One year is usually about 4 albums, I have the albums (not yet in actual albums) stored in 4 iris containers.  When presented with a sketch or challenge I started looking through my "power layout" boxes, as I go through I put the papers and embellishments or just a note reminding myself of what I want to use with those particular photos.  So when presented with a sketch say for one photo, I can go through my power layouts and find such a page.  I don't do too many layouts with just one photo, I take so many photographs and I love each one.  However, this particular event was a cell phone pic taken at Joe's Crab Shack.  It was not a special occasion, just a treat on a cool October evening.

I have used The Paper Loft Everyday Life collection.  You may have noticed my new button, I am a new design team member!  Yeah!  Here I have used the following papers:  No Excuses,  Greener Pastures and both sides of Sky's the Limit and Forward Progress.   I used the Good Times Accessory Sheet and Cosmic Alphabet.  I fussy cut some arrows from Forward Progress and put them on pop dots.

The Paper Loft In the Zone Boy Layout

Happy Birthday, today is Kerrick's birthday.  He is 15 today so this picture is a little old from 2011, but this is where I am at in my chronological scrapbook.  This layout is made from The Paper Loft In the Zone collection.  I used On Target as the background, In Sync as the mat, the layers are both sides of Automatic, Adrenaline and Stay Focused.  I used the Authentic Accessory Sheet.  I used my Creative Memories CCS circles to cut the circles from On Target and put them on pop dots.
