I hope your Labor Day weekend is as beautiful as mine! Gorgeous weather here in Ohio! Although quite a busy weekend for me. We have the last hurrah of summer here on the banks of the Ohio river, the WEBN Fireworks. My husband and I have been attending an annul gathering at a friend's home to party and watch the fireworks since we our first year together. They have a fantastic view with three decks from which to choose a spot for watching the show. In crafting as fashion, we have to look ahead before the new season actually begins so...I have already starting fall crafting.
The triple layer stamping technique is a first for me, I know it is an old technique and I have been impressed by every card I see, so it was finally time to try it. I joined in a swap where this was the technique to showcase. I sent the best versions to my swap partners so this one is a colored a little outside the lines in a few places. I had a few to color and got a little tired toward the end. I used Stampin Up water color pencils and a blending pen. I think the blending is where I got sloppy because I didn't really color these all solid. I was going for a faded blending look for realism. As with trying any new technique, I think I will do better next time. I to want to praise my MISTI for making this card a lot easier. I was able to use the same stamp in different places and restamp in the exact place when needed because stamping 3 layers is a task.

Beautiful card, Alicia. The 3 layer stamping technique looks very interesting and I love the results. Enjoy your holiday weekend, we have at least another 2 months of summer temps here in Arizona.
