Fancy Box and Lantern with the NEW Quick Quotes Mulberry collection

Good morning Quick Quotes readers, Alicia here today.  I created a project with this month's challenge: hearts.  My project is an example of how you can use hearts anytime, not just for Valentine's Day.  I used the new Mulberry Paper Pack.  I just love the deep purple paper and I have said before how wonderful my Cricut cuts Quick Quotes paper.  It is especially obvious on an intricate cut such as this box.

On the first box I created I used the yellow paper for the inside to simulate light.  I dressed it up with all kinds of pearls and ribbon and a nice purple butterfly on top! Of course, I chalked all the edges with a matching Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking ink.  I also folded the top of the box "in" on this version.

On my second box, I used vellum for the inserts and placed a battery operated tea light inside to create a real lantern.  I turned the top "out" on this one and punched holes in all four panels to create a hanger with the fiber.  I also added pearls to this version.

Here it is all a glow!
