Little Brother~Family Tees for Craft Collabs

Hello, today I am participating in a Craft Collabs Event called C.A.S.E. the Creator.  I was partnered with Robert.  He can be found on social media at  instagram.com/jfamilycraftersjfamilycrafters.com, and pinterest.com/jfamilycrafters.  Our task was to find inspiration from our partner's projects, select one and C.A.S.E.  If you aren't familiar with that term it stands for Copy and Share Everything.  Usually one allows for a little creative substitution since we may not have the exact products from which we are copying.

Just from the name of Robert's artistic identity, J Family Crafters, one can conclude that family is the most important aspect of his life and crafting together creates more time to spend with his family.  While exploring his blog I discovered he has three daughters so this makes complete sense.  He shares their work as well as his own on his social media sites.  I took my cue from his Avenger's Endgame post.  I don't own any super hero cuts, but since this post was also about family bonding, I focused on that idea with my project.  Here is his project:

Here is my project.  I copied the gray and the familial bonding spirit of the project as  I didn't have any super hero cuts for my Cricut.  I used two different fonts to create the wording.  Brother is a freebie on Cricut Design Space as are many familial words.  The word little uses a Creative Memories font.

I hadn't made an iron-on project in a few months and it took me a few tries to get the vinyl cut deep enough.  I was using a brand I purchased at Tuesday Morning at a great price therefore, I can't be sure about the problem.  I ended up getting a great cut with the custom setting for glitter iron-on, however, as you can see this vinyl is clearly not glitter.  Maybe I just forget my setting from last go round. I need to create the Big Brother tee but I have to go buy the appropriate size tee.  I WILL remember the settings when I create that one.  You will have to stop back by to see how that one turns out.

Ingredients:
Mark Richards Iron On Black and White Vinyl
Creative Memories Be Young-Be Free Font (little)
Cricut Font and Basic Shapes (brother)
Gray Onesie

Let it Shine...Bitten By the Bug 2 Summer challenge

Hello, it's time again for a new challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2.  The theme for this challenge is Summer Fun!  I chose to use a cut file from Cricut Simple Pop-Up Cards.  The cart has so many great cards, I have to admit I made several designs. The best part is the write feature with some great sentiments that fit each card perfectly! I hope you are inspired by this card reminding me of the summer nights of my childhood.

I love add the special touches that really make a card pop.  My husband doesn't like it when I get him sucked into my projects, but I did consult him on the "lids" I created.  I had a few manual die cuts of mason jars but none really worked for the size card I had cut.  I ended up embossing a metallic piece of paper and fussy cutting the lid to fit the top of the card.  I cut the center one to fold easier.

I am also very fond of using negatives.  The fireflies I decorated the envy and front of the card with came from the original cut.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment before die cutting with a manual die.

Finally, I added a touch of gold Wink of Stella to some of the "lights" and the printed sentiment.  I also added some yellow bling.

Ingredients:
Cricut Simple Pop-up Cards cartridge
Misc papers and card stock
Versamark embossing ink
Close to My Heart Illuminate stamp sentiment
Metallic Blue embossing powder
Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking ink Midnight Confessions
metallic card stock
Tim Holtz Sizzix embossing folder Stripes
Spellbinders label die
Cricut yellow pen
Wink of Stella gold pen
gems

Blessed...with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

It's time for this week's inspiration for the current sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I used the 6x6 paper pad Beautiful You by Creative Imaginations.  The sentiment strip was a part of the collection.  The butterfly amazingly is part of the paper.

Here's the sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge:

I added pearls, lace and inked all the edges with Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking ink in Mocha Moma.

Another look.

Beer is the Answer! Cricut Pop-up card for Bitten By the Bug 2

Good morning and welcome to the latest challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2, Father's Day.  I used the Cricut Everyday Pop-up cards cartridge with American Craft papers.  I also created some manual die cut layers using Frantic Stamper Stitched Rounded Rectangles and DRS designs "beer is the answer" sentiment stamp.

Once again, I could find NO instructions for my project.  I found it to be very close to a coffee pop up I have created. but for the most part I was winging it.

I layered a couple of die cut panels on the front of the card but haven't stamped a sentiment yet.

My second card uses the same papers and the Close to My Heart Artfully Sent cartridge.  I thought these American Craft papers worked great with the Father's Day theme.  They are so old, I purchased bulk packs from Tuesday Morning while the patterns are quite bold the solid sides are classic.  I use them often.

I inked all the edges with Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking ink in Mocha Moma.
