This month I am a guest designer at Card a day challenge blog as part of the July Stencil Extravaganza. All of my cards use stencils. Today's card is an example of heat embossing texture paste. I used a new Recollections vine stencil and plain white light modeling paste. I lifted the stencil before I added the embossing powder. As advised in a video I watched on youtube, I let the background sit for an hour or so before heat setting the embossing powder.
While the background dried, I used a water brush and Quick Quotes chalking inks to color the Heartfelt Creations flowers. I stamped and embossed the sentiment with the same embossing powder as the flower outlines. Then I cut out with a Sizzix label die.
From this angle you can see the texture and pearly green embossing.

The Paper Company Cucumber Metallic card stock (card base)
