Good morning! I have for you today one of those cards I was already excited about when I place the order for the stamps! I had in mind a see through card swap in which I was participating while I had my new CTMH stamp and die set on its way. Of course, my original vision was tweaked because of the supplies I had in my stash and the fact I needed to make multiples for my swap. This is the first card I really took advantage of my new MISTI.
I made a couple of different wing versions.
I stamped the different parts of the flamingo with my MISTI. Stamping the body in pink and following up with the beak and legs in black. Then I tried my hand at partial die cutting again. I think this time was a much better attempt although I didn't use my first card. I chalked it up to experimentation. It really helped in finalizing the design elements and position the stamps correctly. I ended up with 7 cards. I also used my MISTI to position the sentiment inside the card behind the acetate panel.
I stamped and die cut the wing separately. I popped it up with a pop dot. I finished off the card with a sprinkle of sequins with smooch pearl drops in the center.
