Masculine Deer card with wood grain background for Card a Day Challenge blog

This month I am guest designing at Card a day challenge blog and it is the July Stencil Extravaganza. For this card I started with plain white light modeling paste and added some color with Distress Walnut Stain ink.  I mixed the color in completely and smoothed it over the stencil.



While the stenciled background dried I stamped and embossed my deer.  I used wood grain paper and a Sizzix die for the "mount".

Hampton Art stamp and die
American Crafts brown sugar ink
Stampendous Pearl Moonstone embossing powder (deer)
Recollections wood grain stencil
Liquitex light modeling paste
Distress Walnut stain ink
Quick Quotes Mocha Moma and Milk chocolate
We R Happy Campers 
crepe paper
wood grain paper
white cards stock
fiber
