Ink Road Stamps Women Belong in All Places for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hi and welcome today.  I am using my Ink Road Stamps RBG set for the first time!  I wanted this set so bad and never got around to using it until now. I found the perfect lacey stickers to accent the RBG image.

Here's the sketch.  It is so versatile.

Here is a close up of my coloring on Ruth. I added liquid pearls on the earrings and diamond glaze on the glasses.

I had so much fun with this image and sketch that I created several versions.  I experimented with different lace stickers, die cuts, sentiments and alcohol markers.

Another close up of coloring.  This one seems to have more warmth.

One more version

Today's layout for Sketches in Thyme  is from my last day at Island Exodus in Jamaica.  I took lots of photos with some of my favorite women.  I used some old Creative Memories papers and pieces from the Fabulous power palette.  I am getting really close to using up this collection, that makes me happy.

Here's the sketch:

The sentiment is a transparent sticker.  I used paper flowers and paper ribbon from the collection as well.

I free handed the edging and used scraps for the journal strips.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Fabulous Power Palette
Creative Memories pen
Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalking inks
fiber

Stampin Up 3 Cheers for you! for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Welcome to my blog today and my lastest design team project for Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge.  I have a card where I upcycle several elements.  Besides upcycling, I already had the Cricut cut in my stash.  And, I found this great tag in my tag stash. I think it really works.

Here is the sketch:

I tag was hard plastic. I also had the negative die cut I used for the frame. I used two beverage themed Stampin Up stamp sets.

The bling is also reused vintage sequin/beads from a creative reuse store.

Here's a side view.  You can really see the dimension of the tag and beads here.

Ingredients:
Upcycle tag
Cricut cut drink
Frantic Stamper double stitched die
Stampin Up Beverage Cart and Happy Hour
Colorbox Black ink
Judikins Black detail embossing power
Distress Oxide inks and shimmer spray (frame)
vintage sequin/beads

Ink Road Stamps Don't Poke the Dragon with Distress inks for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Today's card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge was super fun to make.  I really wanted to use my some of my latest stamps.  I used two different dragon sets.  I loved the dragon's eye from one set with the sentiment from another.

Here's the sketch from Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge.  I reversed the sentiment and image because of the direction the dragon's eye faced.

I began this project by stamping and embossing the sentiment and image.  I then used various Distress inks to create a mixed green background.  I added strips of gorgeous foil papers to the edges. The final touch was a black lace ribbon.

Ingredients:
Sentimentally Yours Wings Collection Dragons stamps
Ink Road Stamps Don't Poke the Dragon sentiment stamp
American Craft Black Pigment ink
PSX Black detail embossing powder
Judikins Mattekote paper
Distress inks: Twisted Citron, Peeled Paint and Rustic Wilderness
paper and fiber from my stash

Creative Memories Cheerful Power Palette with Sketches in Thyme sketch

Welcome to my month Sketches in Thyme inspiration.  This time around I am scrapping my January 2022 vacation to Jamaica.  This is us with our besties.  The story behind the photos is a fun one.  Would you like to know more about Lance in the Pants?

First, here is the sketch from Sketches in Thyme.

So another friend of ours, found these lovely crocheted pants.  She decided it would be a hoot to get Lance to wear the pants for charity.  He had no idea she had purchased the pants and brought them on vacation. He was floored when he discovered the plot his wife and friends had planned.  He had no choice but to go along.  We took donations and for enough money, one could have their photo with "Lance in the Pants".  I believe we raised over $1000 for Jamaican charities. All in all it was fun day except for poor Lance who had to wear the pants for hours.  He did rock them well!

Ingredients:

Creative Memories Cheerful Power Palette including paper, stickers and die cuts

Miss Kate Cuttables Summer Day layout

Happy Summer! I can't believe it's been 4 years since we took this trip.  This is a pretty simple layout and really focuses on the photo. My husband was so happy in this moment. I used a subtle chevron patterned paper. The grass is also a subtle print of green polka dots.

I haven't used my Cricut in 6 months but I have turned it on once again!

Cricut cuts:
Miss Kate Cuttable title image
grass cut
stitched circle

Tim Holtz Simple Plaid and Kindred Stamps Make Limoncello for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog today.  I was in a bright and cheery mood when I created this card.  I have a friend who makes limoncello regularly.  This would be perfect for her. I had yet to use my Tim Holtz Plaid die and I thought it would be a great twist on the sketch.  I cut this out of white paper which set the way for a small print pattern paper.  I found this lovely lemon paper in my stash.  I have no idea what brand it is.  I searched my stash (on Evernote) and found the lemon's in this Close to my Heart set.

Here is the sketch:

Here's a close up of the details. I stamped the lemons with Stampin Up pens to keep the yellow and green separate.  I used the green to stamp the Kindred Stamps sentiment.  I then die cut it with a stitched sentiment strip.

Ingredients:
Sizzix Tim Holtz Simple Plaid die
Close to My Heart One in a Melon
Stampin Up Daffodil Delight and Call me Clover ink
Kindred Stamps Sea Monster's sentiment
Kat Scrappiness Stitched Sentiment Strips
papers from stash

Happy Fourth with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Good day and welcome to my blog on this American Holiday.  This morning I am using the latest sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge. I am fond of making two-fer's but this sketch was a no brainer to create two considering the diagonal cut in the papers.

Here is the sketch.

Here's card number two.  I have to say how impressed I was with myself for using some extremely old paper...I mean this has to be close to 20 years old. Ya, I am a hoarder but it feels so good to use it up!!!

It's hard to determine in the photo but the white fiber has some shiny elements.

Ingredients:
Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz Old Glory and Movers and Shapers Mini Old Glory
My Favorite Things Double Stitched Ovals
EK Success Fiber Adornments
misc papers and card stock

Welcome to my latest Sketches in Thyme inspiration.  These photos of are myself and Tonya from The War and Treaty.  I don't often like to have my photo taken especially in my swimsuit but I could not resist the opportunity to meet this special woman.

A close up of my cluster.  I used a swath of netting, paper flowers, die cut shells and starfish, real shells, stickers and a brad.

I die cut the scallop circle and used the CM custom cutting system on the rest.

I stamped this sentiment.

Alcohol Ink Panel with Stampin Up Tin Tile embossing folder for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Happy Summer Solstice and welcome to my latest post for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. This week we are partnering with Double Trouble challenge with a twist to create your own background.  I did double duty on the twist. I embossed the yellow paper and added a piece of alcohol background.

Here is the sketch:

This version I created for my SIL's birthday last week.

The embossing folder is 6x6 so I was able to snip a square from the leftovers on which to mount the butterfly.

I used a die cut sentiment for both, I placed this one inside of the card.

Ingredients:
Alcohol inks on mixed media paper
Stampin Up Sizzix Tin Tile 3D 6x6 Embossing folder
K & Co paper butterflies
Karen Burniston Word Set 1 - Greetings (card 1)
Spellbinders Phrases set one (card 2 inside)
misc card stock
ribbon and gems
