This is probably the fastest I have ever scrapped a page. I went to the show on Tuesday and created this layout on Thursday! I was flipping through this great DCWV stack and I just loved this paper and I thought the dark picture from the show would look good against the yellow brick.
Here's the sketch:
Some close ups:
I played with my Art-C texture cream that I recently won from their FB page. I pulled out some super old thick plastic stencils from the days when stencils were a primary tool. I am sure I have thought to purge them a million times, now with the resurgence in popularity I am using them again! They did make quite a raised music note because of the thickness so I popped up several letters in the title to give the page a variety of dimensions.
I also added some brads. Are you aware that Michael's has discontinued brads? I was looking for some recently and I ended up at Hobby Lobby where they had a third of the selection that they used to have! I found what I needed since they were simple silver tiny ones. I used on my recent Quick Quotes Father's Day cards. If you like brads, get them where you can!
I did a lot of fussy cutting, the letters and banners are from sheets in the DCWV Treasures stack. I did punch the circles which made that part easy.
Don't forget to play with DCWV
Ingredients:
DCWV Treasures (new) & Taj Mahal stack (old)
Art-C steel blue texture cream (blue)
CM circle punches (old)
music brads (old)
Quick Quotes Navy chalking ink (blue)
I would like to enter this in the following challenges:
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Great layout, Alicia I really like the papers you used. No, I didn't know that Michael's was dc'ing brads but you know how stashes go, I have LOTS of brads.
