Cricut Easter Challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2

Good day friends.  Today I have a couple of different bunny cards for the Bitten By the Bug 2 Easter challenge starting today.  I love playing with bunnies because you know how quickly they multiply?  This is a forewarning, you may see more bunny cards on my blog soon.

For now I have this simple but elegant card made with the Simple Holiday Cards cartridge.  The metallic pink paper is some of which I purchased a 25 count pack many moons ago.  It is from DCWV and white on the reverse, perfect for a Cricut card, you just have to be sure not to cut on the corner with the UPC...believe me I learn from my mistakes.

To dress up this card I added some pearls to the flourishes.  I also added a twine boy on my bunny's neck.  I liked how the printed paper worked so well with the textured metallic card stock, it turned out elegant. I also used the scrap pieces to line the envelope for the final touch.

This card uses Simple Holiday Cards
DCWV card stock
Little Yellow Bicycle Vintage Summer 6x6 paper
Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking ink
pearls and twine

I used the same metallic card stock for this card.  Pairing it with purple gives it an entirely different look.  My Cricut Explore Air did not want to place both of these cards on the same mat.  I simply moved the second card on the second mat to the far rights and ran the mat through for the next cut.  Therefore, getting full use of the 12x12 paper and that pesky UPC is on the back of this bunny which was cut using the Folk Art cart.

I added a few pearls to this card and used some manual die cuts for matting. The card is cut from Close to My Heart Artfully Sent.

I did line the back of the sentiment with the same light pink paper as the bunny's bow.    I didn't embellish this one too much on the inside a simple teardrop pearl on the bow.

This card uses Close to My Heart Artfully Sent and Folk Art.
Spellbinders Nestabilities Decorative Elements Dies Lacey Ovals
Creative Memories and DCWV card stock and papers
Quick Quotes Plum Crazy Powderpuff Chalking inks
pearls

  14. Pretty cards! They are both lovely. Photographing metallic can be such a challenge - it seems as if the true colors are always diminished. Thank you for the tip about the UPC tag and a big thanks for playing along at Color My Heart Color Dare.
