Quick Quotes Father's Day Cards

Hi Quick Quotes readers, Alicia here today sharing some Father's Day cards to get you inspired.  I am having so much fun playing with the newest Quick Quote collections:  Honeycomb collection, Urban Oasis collection (coming soon) and the Earth Wind and Fire collection available exclusively at Quick Quotes Private Reserve and Quick Quotes Mini Reserve events this fall.  I found a youtube tutorial on how to create these adorable masculine cards for Father's Day and more.  The new papers made some lovely shirt and tie combinations.

Now that you have seen these neat tie cards, I am sure you want the instructions.

For the shirt:
  • 4" x 5 1/4"piece of card stock
  • score 5/8" from top
  • cut in on both side 1"
  • chalk edges
  • fold the points down to meet in center to create the collar but do not adhere yet
  • if you don't like the reverse side of the paper as the collar cut a 4" x 5/8" piece of card stock and adhere to the reverse side so you see the paper you want from the front

For the tie:
  • 4" x 4" piece of paper place the side for the front of the tie face down
  • fold corner to corner lightly crease for a center line
  • fold two points to center line
  • turn piece over
  • fold the top point down about an 1" or slightly more down and fold in half way up and half way again to form the knot
  • tun piece over again
  • fold two points to center line again to make a slimmer tie
  • open up slightly to add adhesive to keep tie together

Putting the pieces together:
  • place the tie in the center of the shirt with adhesive
  • add brads to corners of collar
  • add dimensionals on the corners of the collar and fold over and adhere
  • adhere the shirt and tie to your card base

I made this Father's Day card prior to receiving the new collections.  It was so neat I thought I would share it with you as well.  I stamped and embossed the image and colored with a water brush and Quick Quotes chalking inks.
